In fact, if I'm not mistaken, the first coronavirus death in Nigeria was also of a Muslim from Edo I think and he was buried on the same day (not sure of this fact but I think I'm right).
What the govt said is that, a body will not be released to the family for burial. That does not mean a body cannot be buried with govt supervision.
