I believe that We have freedom of worship. And worshiping GOD is mainly from the heart and not physical appearance. I believe i can sit down and pray and GOD will hear me, I believe i can Sit Down and Worship GOD and he will accept it. However, most times in churches(Mostly Pentecostal) the pastors or the praise leaders want to tell people how to worship GOD. Sometimes they say close your eyes, Raise your hands, kneel down etc. Dont people have the right anymore to worship GOD their own way ? I might feel like sitting down and bowing my heads in prayer, But the pastor says kneel down. If i don't kneel down when everyone else is, it seems like i am being arrogant and disrespectful. But i Feel people should be allowed to pray and worship GOD the way they feel in Church. What do you think .? |

Op i must commend your effort for writting this piece, but i don't agree with most. And i will advice you not to judge so that you are not judged. First:- You talked about age and marrying an older woman. You are so wrong in that statement, When 2 people marry the become one before GOD and age means nothing. secondly:- You talked about divorcee, answer these questions according to these scenarios. An african man travels abroad, meet a christian lady in a church, they date and marry. After a few years of marriage the man gets his citizenship and decides to leave the lady. Should she remain without a man for the rest of her life, knowing the man is never coming back and probly has married someone else? A man who has been abroad for a while, comes back to Nigeria meets a young girl and they start dating. He takes care of her and family while he is abroad. Finally comes home and they marry. He gets her pregnant . And after 5yrs he is not coming back and says he is not interested in the marriage again he just wants the child. Should the young girl remain single forever since the man is no longer interested? I believe all those who married for paper are going to hell .Because whoever they marry later, they are committing adultery and children that come from the next marriage r born from adultery? What of a person who is married abroad and one day, his foreign wife decides she does not want the marriage anymore and decides to divorce the man. Should the guy remain single since divorce is not acceptable ? |

A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) sitting in Apo yesterday found Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) guilty of illegally withdrawing N5.3billion from an account owned by one of its customers, Dr. Ted Iseghohi Edwards of Edwards and Partners Law firm. Justice Valentine Ashi, in a judgment, held that GTBank was without any defence to its action and ordered the bank to pay the money – N5,240,516,186.21 to the owner through his Zenith Bank Plc account. The judge further ordered that the N5.3billion should attract 10 per cent post-judgment interest, and another 21 per cent interest from December 12 last year when GTBank illegally withdrew the money, until the bank eventually paid Dr. Edwards. The judge struck out the Central Bank (CBN), the Accountant-General of the Federation (AGF), Jonah Otunla, Minister of State for Finance Ambassador Yuguda, Anaocha Local Government Area and the Incorporated Trustees of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) from the suit as defendants on the ground that they were not necessary parties. Edward initiated the suit marked FCT/HC/CV/939/2015 in January, this year after GTBank carried out the illegal withdrawal of the money on December 12, last year. The money was paid into Dr. Edwards’ law firm’s account with GTBank on January 2, last year by the AGF as a settlement of a judgment got by his clients, Impecca Services Limited and His Royal Highness, Eze Samuel Ezekwo against ALGON for the consultancy services they rendered to the 774 local governments. The plaintiff stated, in the suit’s originating processes, that shortly after the money was paid into his account on behalf of his clients, GTBank made some disbursements from the account as directed, but that he was only informed on December 12 by an official of the bank that the CBN has withdrawn the N5.3billion. Edwards said when he enquired from the bank why it made deduction from his account without his consent, he said GTBank only insisted that the withdrawal was made in obedience to the CBN’s directive, which it could not disobey. Justice Ashi, in his judgment, faulted GTBank for betraying the banker/customer relationship between it and Edwards. He noted that it was wrong for GTBank to have withdrawn from the customer’s account without his knowledge and consent. The judge held that GTBank’s claim that it was helpless and that the withdrawal was at the instance of CBN was of no substance. He wondered whether GTBank would have obeyed a similar directive even if it was illegal.. http://thenationonlineng.net/new/court-orders-gtbank-to-refund-n5-3b-illegally-withdrawn-from-customers-account/ |

Is it a must that a lawyer will draft tenancy. Cant a a landlord just draft an agreement and get a witness to sign with tenant, without pay 5-20% of rent to lawyer ? |
ECOTERRORS:Exactly my point. Asked him now and he said. "Would Jesus be working for 7k a month in an airport? Would he have allowed a few Corrupt Politicians in Nigeria be milking the nation dry while he suffers at the airport? . That if i answered this, then he would tell me what he would do . |
Depends on the type of food. If u see urself drinking garri and groundnut in the dream. Then declare 70days fasting. But if u see yourself eating better at a world class 5 star hotel, with dangote and obama. My brother, wake up and tap into the revelation. Prayer point 1, it must come to pass. 2, it must be permanent |
I see some Christains viewing this thread, and saying i dont want to lie so i wont comment If i say i wont return the money, they will say i am not a good christian and i have my reputation on nairaland to protect . If i say i will, i will be lying and today is Sunday |
After watching the airport staff who returned N12m equivalent in the airport here in Nigeria. I decided to seek the opinion of a friend who is a christian. I asked him if he would have returned the money. He said said "NO" . I was shocked, but by the time he presented his case with scriptures from the bible i became confused. HIS CASE. 1, N7,000 monthly salary, is wickedness and GOD has been in heaven watching the wickedness of the govt upon this lady who has been serving him faithfully. How can someone be paid N 7000 a month? He said GOD decided to visit her, and she missed the hour of her visitation (Luke 19:44 ) And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation. 2, He also said, whoever would carry 12m and forget it, has 10 times more than that in the account. He also said that 90% of people who carry such loose funds around, are corrupt politicians and those in high places in Nigeria. They are the ones responsible for the suffering of the ordinary man. He said for every 1 Nigerian billionaire, there are 12 million Nigerians suffering because of him or her. He said that money was meant for that lady (Proverbs 13:22) A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, And the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous. 3, He said something we dont understand how GOD acts. So we sometimes misinterpret his actions. (Luke 16 vs 1- ![]() And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward. Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed. I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses. So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord? And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty. Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore. And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light. |

I have noticed that when a Handsome guy marries a not so prety lady, people see them and say "love is blind" but when a pretty lady marries a not so handsome man, they say its because of money. I will use adams oshomole as an example, people see the lady he wants to marry and say its because of the money, so a fine lady cant love someone like osho baba or obj without money ? ![]() Does it mean love is only blind with men? |
