Phones › Re: List Of Smartphones That Will Support GLO LTE Network - Pics by Osyxcel(m): 7:42am On Oct 09, 2016
divineshare:
Your phone can browse on 4G LTE speed when connected to 4G LTE devices lite Spectranet, Smile abd Cyberspace.

But for you phone to act as a direct device itself it must be a voLTE phone.

And as a voLTE device you can even insert your Spectranet/Smile/Cyberspace sim directly into it and browse without an external device.

Therefore you weren't scammed.

YOUR HAVING THE CAPABILITY TO CONNECT TO A 4G LTE DEVICE IS ONE THING AND FOR THE SAME PHONE TO BE A 4G LTE AGENT IS ANOTHER THING.

I have tried to explain this with a very elementary terminologies.

I want to also add that there are differentials in bands just as it is in GSM.
You can use Smile, Spectranet, Swift or Ntel if your phone is LTE enabled and support all bands. You can browse with them but cannot make data calls (voice over LTE) with them, except for Smile & Ntel (supports VoLTE). Even then, your phone must support VoLTE for you to be able to make data calls.

Smile uses band 20, which is only supported by few phones. That's probably why only few phones can use it.

For now, I think only Smile and Ntel supports VoLTE. Don't know about all MTN, GLO or Airtel tho.

If your phone supports LTE but not VoLTE, you can still make calls over LTE if your network provider (that supports VoLTE) has an app for that e.g SmileVoice from Smile and Ntel VOX from Ntel.

ok, let me explain.

Dat a phone is 4G enabled does not mean its gonna work on all network or with all sims. all these 4G network providers av frequency/bands dia 4G can work on. so the best tin to do is to do a little google search abt d frequency/bands a particular phone supports.

Glo 4G is BAND 28 (700MHz)

MTN 4G is BAND 20 (800MHz) and BAND 7 (2600MHz)

NTEL 4G s BAND 8 (900MHz) and BAND 3 (1800MHz)

and so on.
Thanks for that screenshot. That means I can use all apart from Smile which is on Band 20 (I don't care sef)

I searched for 4G networks in Ojodu, Lagos 2 days ago and I saw MTN 4G and one unnamed network like that (something like 62***)

My phone supports Band 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 28, 38, 39, 40, 41.

Politics › Re: Fashola: How We Added 400MW To Power Nat Grid Despite Sabotage by Osyxcel(m): 8:59am On Sep 25, 2016
The maintenance of broken down turbines at the nation’s hydro-electric plants, enhanced their generating capacity during the increased circle of rainfall and water levels, and contributed substantially to the current addition of more power to the National Grid in spite of the vandalism of power assets.
He recalled that over 3000MW of power had been lost over the last six months due to consistent vandalism and sabotage of oil and gas pipelines and assets. “The hydros are giving us almost 400MW of power and that is a lot of power given our situation. And we have added about 1MW of Solar and there is more coming; so I think we are on our way.
How does this translate to adding 400MW? Something that will disappear when the rain stops undecided

2. What if the website doesn't feature any of its employees?

3. What if the company doesn't have an engaging Facebook Page?

4. What if you couldn't really find much Linkedin Profiles of people working there?

I think for me, the most important thing is to look for the Mission and Vision statement of the firm and try to link it to your own Career Objectives/Long term goals...
