I don't think that believing or not believing in God should make anyone a fool, but rather, worshipping some gods like Yahweh, Allah etc out of fear is what should make someone a fool. Paying tithes to the treasure boxes of your fellow men is also foolishness while assuming that you are giving God Almighty your money.
Note, God Almighty who created Yahweh, Allah and all these other gods of religion wouldn't command anyone to be paying tithes or offering to him. For what purpose would the creator of the universe demand money from humans?
