Dear Nairalanders, i have a been a registered user on this platform going back as far as 2008. I decided to use this moniker to create this thread because of the sensitivity of this personal issue.
I am a realist as well as a spiritual person, a born Christian to be precise.
I don't want to bore you with so much details, all I have to ask is: what do you do when you are told that your mum is a witch. I have tried to do away with this information or revelation for some years now because I thought it's just some callous scammers trying to get something out of you, but today somewhere in a faraway place I have never been to or known, I was told the same thing about my mum. What do I do. Of course she's my mum and I will ever be grateful she brought me to this world but what do I do to be free from her spiritual grasp over me.
I know this is an open forum but I will really want kids to stay away from commenting on this post.

Christians are expected to preach to people so that they would not go to hell. Hell is another way of describing Gods refuse dump. That is whoever lives a life of independence from God is thrown into the place. This should propel Christians to work harder in their duty of evangelism.

Rapture is part of the prophecies that should lead to the end of the world. Those who have the mark/seal of God are removed at an instant from the world.

One may have issues with specific Christians but it is unfortunate that an over generalization has taken place.

We don't stop spending money because we saw a few mutilated notes or condemn the work of the CBN because Evans was using money as ransom for peoples lives and freedom.

The Allaah and Yahweh you kept on mentioning are one and the same. The two names refer to He who created the earth, heaven, and all that is within them. He created mankind in pairs (man and woman) and put love between them. He give and take life. He cause the sun to rise from the east and set on the west. He spread out the earth and placed on it firm mountains and water bodies in equal proportion. He created the sky as a canopy without a single pillar, from it He send rain and cause vegetations to grow and provide food for mankind.


If this is the God you are referring to then we are on the same page only that I believe didn't create these marvelous for the pleasure of it.

God created all these for a purpose: test man. These tests come in various forms one of which is for us to worship Him alone.

If the purpose of creation is testing mankind then it sensible to believe that there will be reward and punishment after releasing the result of the test.

And finally, God is ONE. People call Him different names in different languages and there is only one TRUE religion.

And there one basic way to identify a true religion: It call for believe in God ALONE and worshipping no other deity then He who created earth, heavens, and all that is within them, the disposer of ALL affairs.
