Christianity EtcWay Forward For Christians by otitokoro1(op): 2:04pm On Apr 16, 2010
It is clear in the prayer of Jesus Christ for His Disciples before going to Heaven (John 17:21), that His vision for His follower is to be united (Be one).

But today, this has been a big issue that looked unachievable among the Christians. There is variation in doctrine, denomination and biblical interpretations.

I feel strongly, that if Christians are not one, then there is little or nothing we can do to make Jesus happy with us.

I want suggestions from Christians on how or what can bring unity like in the early church to Christianity.

Note: there is no right or wrong answer.

God bless as you share your view.
Christianity EtcRe: The Trinity Doctrine Revisited: Is Jesus=God=Holyspirit? by otitokoro1: 1:34pm On Apr 16, 2010
You can not use statistics to understand the mystery of God.

Trinity simply means:
If you accept the Father (God), automatically, Jesus His preset in your life and Holy spirit is also with you.

It means that when you are talking of the only true God, Jesus and Holy Spirit are involved.

That is the mystery and sign that help man to know the true God.

You cannot get to God without accepting Jesus as your lord and saviour and you cannot be in the presence of God without having Holy spirit.

So if you say you believe in God but you do not know Jesus or have Holy Spirit, then you are deceiving yourself.
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Tunde Bakare Blows Hot (why I Quit Redeemed Church) by otitokoro1: 1:08pm On Apr 16, 2010
On the contrary Pastor Bakare left RCCG becos of the deceit and the hypocrisy in the church that many did not know then, nowpeople are getting wiser and seeing that RCCG is just a business conglomerate./quote]

that is what he made you believe.  From his action he left because he feels he wanted to have his own personal  church.  I tell you why, his actions and doctrine are not different from other churches he left.

Go and find out more about the man.  Follow Jesus not any man. grin grin grin
Christianity EtcRe: Show Me The Autheticity Of Your Bible by otitokoro1: 12:54pm On Apr 16, 2010
what can you say about the authenticity of the Bible?/quote]

The fact that you are restless after hearing the word is enough reason Sir/Ma.
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Tunde Bakare Blows Hot (why I Quit Redeemed Church) by otitokoro1: 12:49pm On Apr 16, 2010
I expected Pastor Tunde Bakare a Senior Pastor and an overseer of a church to apply wisdom in a matter like this.

He should understand that Christianity is about your personal relationship with God. After all Jesus did not command anyone to start a church he anlo commanded us to go and make disciples of all nation.

Bakare should not start to at this tiome when his own church is no longer enjoying popularity and castigate other people.

I would have respected him if he realised that there is no single church that work in according to the plan of Jesus Christ. Every church have deviated from the vision of Jesus Christ (Jhn 17:21). Churches have turned to a business venture, marketing have replaced evangelism in our church. May God forgive all Religious leaders.

I choose to worship in whatever church I attend because God says we should not forsake the gathering of other believers. Instead of Bakare pointing accusiong finger on others, he should look at where he failed, make a change and then he will be able to say the truth.

Bakare from time is a politician, he fouinded his church on deciet now that people are getting wiser, he intend to draw others with him.

It is my wish that All Christians may be one.

"Public education is the key civil rights issue of the 21st century. Our nation's knowledge-based economy demands that we provide young people from all backgrounds and circumstances with the education and skills necessary to become knowledge workers. If we don't, we run the risk of creating an even larger gap between the middle class and the poor. This gap threatens our democracy, our society and the economic future, ".

CareerRe: My Boss Sits Recklessly @ Work! by otitokoro1: 6:36pm On Feb 15, 2010
There are 2 things that must be corrected in that Office:
1. Idleness of staff like the Poster. If you are so bussy, you might not actually notice such. It is either your Boss Sleeps always or She is too bussy to notice her careless sitting posture.
2. You Boss Lack Sitting manner.

What I will suggest here is that if your Boss is not the Overall Boss, get a suggestion on why desk of Males should not be placed directly opposite female desk in your office. Or suggest to your organisation why the need to consider a closed furniture type. Drop in your Office suggestion Box, you may make it anonimous letter.

However, if you see the show as additional benefit to your job, then you may not get a way out of it. I will say have a wonderful view. I hope this is not your motivation to getting to office early? grin grin grin cool

BusinessRe: Any Advice On Transportantion Biz? by otitokoro1: 6:44pm On Feb 12, 2010
There is money in Transport Business. However, it is risk is equaly high. I will suggest you start it without employing any driver at first. This will help you to understand the terrain of the business and when you are growing you still act as your own fleet manager.

Getting a trust worthy driver, especially when you have no knowledge is difficult.

You could use the money to enhance your self as a freelance marketer. Just kep the money for deposits or for the purchase of what people need and resell. For example, many organisations need stationery, find out about that and go to Idumota or Mushin to get price list of those stationery. Buy with your money and supply.
BusinessRe: Setting Up Computer School by otitokoro1: 1:50pm On Feb 12, 2010
A story once told of an organisation that are working on better life for rural women. They got to a community and discovered that most of the women travelled long distance to fetch water. To taught the nicest project they could embark upon is to sink borehole, which they did successfully only to found out that they still travell same distance to fetch water in the stream.
The organisation failed to study why the women go that far. Women in that area are using that opportunity of long travel to water to gist because majority of them hadly get opportunity to interact with others since they are kept indoor by their husband.

The bottomline: DO not assume computer training is the need of your present location. Do your findings on why they have not got computer schools.

BusinessHow I Started My Business With Zero Capital. by otitokoro1(op): 1:50pm On Feb 10, 2010
I have come to share my testimony here not because I am highly successful in business but to prove a point to my fellow Nigerians especially the youth, so that they may awake to reality of time.
In the year 2000, I had a vision (Not Spiritual) you may call it an inspiration like anyone will have. The idea then was to start as a business broker for sales of goods and services.
I started by negotiating with those that have goods for sell and I go on as a freelance marketer. It was tedious really, but I kept up the idea and for over six months I never make sales. Persistently I still do my marketing and one day I got a man who needed a laptop. The man asked me to bring the Laptop he told me his budget.
I went to computer village, and I persuaded a seller to go with me to my customer he agreed. That was how I made my first sales. My share was N7,000.
I quickly gave the money back to the idea by using the money to register my Business name. This gave me more opportunity to expand my marketing to corporate ventures. Today we involve in other businesses and our capital based today is reasonable.
My message to whoever is reading this message is: never to despise the day of small beginning.
