PoliticsLook At What Buhari Has To Said About Brexit And Cameron by outknow(op): 9:16pm On Jun 24, 2016
President Muhammadu Buhari Friday said he regrets the resignation of British Prime Minister David Cameron, which will come into effect in October.

President Buhari said Nigeria has enjoyed remarkable goodwill, support and understanding under the capable leadership of the outgoing Prime Minister over the years.

The President said Cameron’s resignation in response to the outcome of a referendum that supported Britain to leave the European Union “was a demonstration of courage by a democratic leader who respects the will of the people, even if he didn’t agree with their decision.”

President Buhari noted that by ‘‘putting the will of the people before his political future, the Prime Minister proved himself to be a selfless leader with respect for democracy and voter sovereignty."

The President expressed hope that Nigeria looks forward to greater cooperation and consolidation of shared interests with Britain, despite the outcome of the referendum.

PoliticsWe'll Stop Biafra Agitation When Provide Your WAEC Certificate-man Tells Buhari by outknow(op): 9:56pm On Jun 22, 2016
In a mail we received from one of the members of the indigenous people of Biafra, the current agitation for a sovereign state of Biafra will only stop if president Muhammadu Buhari tenders his controversial WAEC certificate.

Given that the president wants IPOB to stop their agitation by every means possible, do you think he would adhere or rather agree to this term?

PoliticsNorth Can’t Own Oil In Niger Delta –Ankio Briggs by outknow(op): 6:17am On Jun 18, 2016
NIGER Delta activist, Ankio Briggs has said that the claim by some Northern leaders that the North owns the oil in Nigeria by virtue of its control of 72% of the nation’s landmass, is nonsensical. Briggs in this interview with TONY JOHN in Port Harcourt, Rivers state stressed that the oil rich Niger Delta remains the economic livewire of the country. Excerpts…

How do you react to the claim by the North that mineral resources in Nigeria, including oil in the Niger Delta belongs to them because they have the largest landmass?

There is nothing much to say on that, unless if one wants to go into process of argument. It is an irrational claim to resources. How on earth does it make sense to anybody, that what is in the Niger Delta belongs to the North? It is so irrational. It is almost foolish for such a claim. There is nothing to input there. I won’t waste time to try to prove that they are wrong. All I can say is that, if truly they so believe, let them all come down to the Niger Delta and lay claim to the oil. Federal Government, for instance, is the one claiming ownership by the constitution. So, if they are now saying that the oil resources in the creeks and mangroves of the Niger Delta belong to them, they should come down to the creeks and swamps with their cows and herdsmen and plant their onions and tomatoes in the creeks and swamps. It is foolish and quite irrational for anybody, who is an educated person to make such a claim. I think it does not deserve a response.

On the abandoned Confab report…?

It is rather a pity. I think that, sometimes, naturally, when things are meant to go wrong or right , depending on which divides one belongs to, the will of God will definitely be done. The fact that the national conference took place is not a guarantee the report would be implemented. This is not the first conference, discussion that was held in Nigeria. There have been so many reports on the Niger Delta. There have been so many recommendations in reports about Nigeria the government has refused to implement. If today, President Muhammadu Buhari says he is not going to implement, or even look at the report of 2014 National Conference, it does not surprise me. What I need to say about that is that, the 2014 National Conference is not about President Buhari; it was not about President Goodluck Jonathan. It is about the people of Nigeria. That conference, we discussed everything about Nigeria, except the break-up of Nigeria. Some of the discussion led to the conclusion that if we cannot achieve it, let Nigeria break. But, we did not go there. We did not discuss the break-up of Nigeria. Some of the issues we discussed were the issues of local government; that local government should be maintained from the state. I want to see how Kano State can maintain 44 local governments. Kano is using the money that is looted from the Niger Delta region, local governments and the oil companies that are partners there. Bayelsa State that produces the largest quantity of the resource that Nigeria is using has eight local governments. While a state like Rivers, which produces huge amount of oil gets only 23 local governments. On the national conference, we discussed the issue of grazing bill and it was completely knocked out. But, they are trying to bring it in through the back door. The money that is owed the Niger Delta Development Commission, we agreed that it should be paid to the commission. We also discussed the issue of self-determination and indigenous people to be able to determine whether to have self-determination. It was well discussed at the national conference. We also discussed the issue of revenue allocation percentage. It was at this stage I deviated from my committee. I disagreed with them on the 13 percentage that should go to the Niger Delta. The fact that the president today said he never supported the national conference, it is not about him. It is about millions of Nigerian people well represented at the national conference. Some of the agitation in Nigeria today, and future agitation, would be failure of the government to implement core areas in the report of the 2014 National Conference. I repeat, the National Conference report is not about one person; it is definitely not about President Muhammadu Buhari. It is about the people that make the south, north, east and west, all the ethnic groups that make up Nigeria. Failure to implement any core area of the report is going to be very dangerous for Nigeria in the future. It would lead to more agitation. It would be very dangerous for anybody who loves Nigeria to insist that, that will not be implemented.

How do you see the re-emergence of militancy, particularly Niger Delta Avengers?

I think that the re-emergence of armed agitation in Niger Delta should not come as a surprise to anybody. Why should it come as a surprise? The core issues of Niger Delta people have not been addressed. This issue did not start today, or when Jonathan became president. It started way back in the days of King Jaja of Opobo, Nana of Itsekiri, that rose against the colonial government. Nigeria has always been governed for economic benefit. If you look back, you will see that the re-emergence of armed agitators started way back. There was this agitation before independence was given. The Niger Delta region was given grade ‘A’ by the British government, which means that the region should be given priority attention for development because of its terrain. That was why the Niger Delta River Basin Development Commission was established. But, the North also went and clamoured and similar commission was established. It was not part of the initial arrangement. The North was a grade ‘B’ in terms of development because it requires less money to develop compared to the Niger Delta. Take note, for many years back, the mainstay of the economy of the country is oil and gas. Till today, Niger Delta is producing the mainstay of the economy of the country. Niger Delta is the economic life of Nigeria. Without the Niger Delta oil and gas, today, as we are talking, Nigeria will collapse economically. So, when you look back, you remember, Adaka Boro came and had a 12 day war; Saro Wiwa came up and declared non-violent agitation for equity and justice for his Ogoni people, which was quite right and I support it. From that day till today, Ogoni oil is still remaining in Ogoni land. The oil has not left Ogoni soil. And I continue to wonder, have Ogoni people been incarcerated? Have they been wiped out? So, why is it that there must be an attack when Ijaw people make their position known? I am not surprised that we have the issues of Niger Delta Avengers. Then, MEND was offered amnesty. Under the same circumstances, amnesty was offered, Gbaramatu was attacked. Tompolo was being looked for by the same Federal Government. Amnesty was offered by late President Umaru Yar’Adua because oil dropped. Today, we learnt that oil has dropped that low. If you balance the barrel Nigeria is selling at present, you would discover that the country has lost much. The situation in Nigeria is worse.

Look at the price of dollar, rising to N370 per dollar as at today. Nigeria is in trouble. So, I am not surprised one group is armed for agitation in Niger Delta, because neither the NDDC, OMPADEC, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs can solve the issues of Niger Delta clamour for equity and justice. They cannot be pacified by NDDC, OMPADEC, or Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs. The region can only be pacified by true fiscal federalism. I believe that the Niger Delta people are justified to demand for fiscal federalism. We must address the issue; we cannot run away from the truth. We must address that issue that unites us as people. Look, my brother, we have a country that has 36 states; a country that shifted its capital from Lagos to Abuja in 30 years. And what developed Abuja and will continue to develop Abuja is coming from Niger Delta. Continue to tell me that, that situation will still go on and I cannot account for 13 percent, is really blackmail and Niger Delta will no longer accept it. So, that question, if you are asking me to account for 13 percent of my property, I want to ask you, what will you say you have done with 87 percent of my own that you have been stealing from me? In fact, states that cannot pay salaries of their workers should collapse the same way they came. That is why we are calling for true fiscal federalism. It is not proper that you use the resources of nine oil producing states to develop the rest states out of the 36 states in country. That is why there will still be re-emergence of armed agitators.

The difference between Niger Delta Avengers and what I am going about doing is, I am a non-violent agitator for equity for the South-South and South East people and for the Middle Belt. The difference between me and the Avengers is, they have chosen to carry arm. The Niger Delta Avengers could be from anywhere. If Fulani herdsmen could come from other countries, who is sure that they (Avengers) are Ijaw people? I think it is victimization on the part of Federal Government. I think there is plan by the Federal Government to alienate the Ijaw people and take their land and resources from them. Why must Federal Government look for the Niger Delta Avengers in the Ijaw territory? Are we the only people in the Niger Delta? It is unfair and unacceptable and to create impression that Ijaw people are violent; and I am highly offended by it. In fact, Nigeria is governed on the tripod of corruption. Can it be said that corruption that cuts across the country, it is Ijaw people that are culpable? That is unacceptable.

PoliticsNiger Delta Avengers Maintains That Their Struggle Is Not For Political Thugs by outknow(op): 6:58pm On Jun 17, 2016
We are watching with keen interest the unwholesome activities of the political thugs and agents of APC to undermine the Niger Delta struggle in the likes of Mr. Ayiri and gangs. Few days ago, he and his group was parading, regrouping, rebranding and re-arming defunct Ex-MEND and settled Militants leaders discussing pipelines, oil and gas facilities contract in Edo State Government house. Today he and his co-travelers are in delta state Government house, the Itsekiri Militants leader with community leaders and unfortunately branding them as representatives of Niger Delta Avengers for self-gain and political survivals.

We condemn its entirety the continuous linking of the Niger Delta Avengers to any meeting in Delta State Government in Asaba with Minister of State for Petroleum Resources. We have never missed words in telling the whole listening world that the Niger Delta Avengers will not be part any dialogue deal that will not bring about “ the peace of our time; but we want a peace with honour” as such we could not be a party to any meeting with the likes of Ayiri Emami and his co- travelers that that are ready to kill and trade for the interest of pipeline, oil and gas facilities contract from the Government to bloat their pockets and urge fantasies .

PoliticsNigeria Minister Of State For Oil Visits Gbaramatu Kingdom To Meet Reps Of NDA by outknow(op): 8:38pm On Jun 16, 2016
The Hon. Minister for Petroleum Resources State, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu has stormed Kurutie and Okerenkoko Communities in Gharamatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area, Delta State in a bid to bring peace in the volatile Niger Delta region.

The minister made the call at Osubi airport in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State while addressing Chiefs of Gbaramatu Kingdom that came to welcome him from inspecting the Nigerian Maritime University at Okerenkoko and its temporary site at Kurutie in Gbaramatu Kingdom.

Dr. Kachikwu maintained that his primary aim of visiting the KINGDOM is to see for himself and get a clearer picture the structures on ground about the controversial Maritime University in the kingdom as it has generated counter and cross counter motions on its establishment. He however expresses satisfaction on what he has seen so far in respect of the structures on ground both on the permanent and temporal sites at Okerenkoko and Kurutie communities.

Dr. Ibe decried the unspeakable low level of development in Gbaramatu Kingdom and alleged that despite the many years of Oil exploration in the Kingdom, there is nothing tangible for the people to smile as the Maritime University that would have corrected this age long deprivation is being treated in such blurred manner as he wonders on the benefits of being an Oil producing Kingdom. He pledges to muster stakeholders in the Government to try his best in order to make sure that the institution Is brought back to life.

The Minister in clear terms reiterated on the Federal Government commitment to dialogue with the Niger Delta Avengers and Niger Delta Stakeholders as it was crowned with the unilateral declaration of the two weeks cease fire but seriously condemned and frowned at the onslaught against the NNPC pipeline bombing at Oruk Anam Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State. He said such moves are not encouraging especially when Government is doing its best in ensuring that there is dialogue in order to forestall the economic disaster that have plagued the Country in recent times.

However, Kachikwu urged the Gbaramatu Chiefs to return to their subjects in order to discuss with them as meaningful and genuine dialogue is the way out and not bombing of our economic lifeline.

GbaramatuVoice Newspaper learnt that in a swift reaction, Chief Wellington Okrika, the Bolouwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom appreciated the distinguished Hon. Minister for his bold steps so far in ensuring peace in the Niger Delta as he assures him of their undiluted cooperation in ensuring peace in the region.

Also speaking is Chief Alfred Bubor, the Fiewei of the Kingdom who lauds the minister's rare steps of leadership as he endorses his move for peace in the Niger Delta and urged him to put his team in order for genuine dialogue with the agitators and other Niger Delta Stakeholders.

Christianity EtcPlease Who Killed Biafra And Where Is She Buried?- IPOB Replies Suleman by outknow(op): 9:03pm On Jun 14, 2016
When news filtered in that Apostle Johnson Suleman the Senior pastor and General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministry, OFM, spoke about Biafra and the publication was sent to me. After reading through the reportage, I told them my colleagues of Family Writers that Suleiman is either speaking with his carnal mind or the news outlet might have twisted his statements for their benefit. Though I was glad when he spoke out against the state religion bill promulgated by the Governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai, but I have to respond to his said statements in the reportage.

Apostle Johnson Suleman has advised the Igbos in the country to put an end to the agitation for the Republic of Biafra but he must understand first, that Biafra is not about the Igbos alone. I believe clergymen are supposed to acquit themselves with basic knowledge of true history in order not to blunder in the name of prophecy. Did GOD ask only the Igbos to stop? What about the people of Izon, Ibibio, Igbanke, Idoma, Isobo, Itsekiri, Isoko, Igala and Efik? Should they also quit or didn’t GOD make them Biafrans first before Fredrick Lugard of Britain forced them to become Nigerians?

Apostle Johnson Suleman claimed that Biafra is dead and buried which is quite myopic and smirks of gross carnality. Please who killed Biafra and where is she buried? Anyway, as a Christian and clergyman, does he not believe in resurrection and according to the Bible, GOD has given us the power to raise the dead isn’t? This generation of Biafra has exercised that power and with Chukwu Okike Abiama on our side we shall make sure Biafra is not killed or buried. If he is conversant with what is happening in his dear country Nigeria, he must have observed that Biafrans are dying for the sake of Biafra, exactly the way early Christian died for Christianity so that people like him can be able to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ without been persecuted.

Apostle Suleman went on saying “The Igbo cannot even rule themselves, they should go and sit down. “There is IPOB, MASSOB, you can see that they are already having division. You have not been able to rule yourselves and you want to rule a nation, it’s not possible.” I had to laugh when I read this part because it showed clearly that the clergyman actually lacked both physical and spiritual insight on the present struggle for the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra.

Actually, if there is division in the struggle for Biafra then there is even a deeper division in Christianity with the various different denominations like Catholic, Methodist, Jehovah Witness, Anglican, Pentecostal etc. Why is there different organization like Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), governing clergymen in Nigeria? We are all aware of the crisis always rocking CAN, and the desire of Suleman to take over from Rev. Ayo Oritsejafor.

PoliticsKano Killings: Extremists Storm Gov’s Facebook Page, Vow To Kill Again by outknow(op): 6:36pm On Jun 12, 2016
Despite widespread condemnation of the murder of an Igbo woman in Kano for alleged blasphemy, some residents of the state, on Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s official Facebook page, expressed their readiness to kill anyone who insult the Prophet Muhammad, BAYO AKINLOYE reports

Despite a stakeholders’ meeting between Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, and prominent community and religious leaders, some residents of the state have vowed to kill again if anyone blasphemes the Prophet Muhammad.

On June 2, an Igbo woman, Mrs. Bridget Agbahime, 74, was killed after she refused to allow a Muslim man perform ablution in front of her shop.

An eyewitness, Iruka Okoro, who is a member of the Igbo Community Association in Kano, stated that shortly after an argument ensued because of Agbahime’s refusal, some irate youths armed with dangerous weapons attacked her, stabbing her several times and eventually slitting her throat.

“The murder of Agbahime was a big slap on the Igbo Community Association. I do not see any reason why somebody’s refusal to allow a fellow trader perform ablution in front of her shop should lead to her murder.

“Her assailants killed her for telling a co-trader to go to his shop and wash his legs before prayers. Some irate youths sliced her throat like a cow,” Okoro said.

He noted that the owner of the premises, where they both had their stalls, had on more than one occasion intervened in the dispute between the 74-year-old and her co-trader.

“The landlord instructed the male co-trader to confine himself to his side of the market, as well as perform his ablution there,” Okoro stated.

As if the killing was not enough, it was learnt that some Muslim youths stormed the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital mortuary at about 2am on Friday, demanding for the head of the murdered woman, but their request was turned down by the guards at the hospital.

To prevent any further breakdown of law and order, 20 vehicles carrying armed soldiers with Armoured Personnel Carriers were stationed along the Sabon-Gari area of the city.

Ganduje, at the end of the meeting which was held a day after the incident, condemned the killing of Agbahime.

The governor, who had condoled with the husband of the deceased, Pastor Mike Agbahime, during the meeting, described the action of the mob as illegal and unjust. He promised that justice would be done.

He also commended security operatives in the state for promptly apprehending the prime suspect, one Dauda.

“We all resolved to condemn this illegal action publicly in the media, while the Ulama and the leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria will participate in public enlightenment in our media houses,” he said.

In his remarks, the state Chairman of CAN, Rev. Ransom Bello, expressed the body’s satisfaction with the resolutions reached at the meeting, adding that “there is nothing better that any person would expect than what you (the governor) have done tonight.”

While urging the people of the state to remain calm, he stated that with the efforts being made by the state government, peace had returned to the state and that the stakeholders’ meeting was an indication that there would be no more religious killings in Kano.

“Such a thing had never happened under any governor in Kano, as far as I know. The Christian body is satisfied and happy with the conclusions,” he said.

However, following a post of photos of the meeting and the resolutions reached by the Director-General, Media and Communications to the Kano Governor, Salihu Tanko Yakasai, on Ganduje’s official Facebook page, some Nigerians appeared to be spoiling for a fight as they condemned the state government for taking sides with the deceased, whom they claimed insulted Prophet Muhammad.

A comment posted by one Ali Idris stated, “It’s a shame, we’ll never tolerate such acts; be warned. Allah ya jikan musulman da iyamure suka kashe a onitsha, aba da sausansu satinnan a bikin Biafra’s day.” Also commenting on the post, one Ahmad Abdullahi Ibrahim said, “Innaalillahi, we Muslims are lost, the government says ‘Innocent lady’. Does that mean she did not blaspheme our noble prophet? Indirectly you’re insulting your people.

“Did the government, including the so-called Muslim scholars, take any serious decision when Muslims (were) burnt and killed in the South just because they were Muslims? I am not saying taking the law into your own hands is right, but, you need to be wise enough. Allah ya sawwake.”

Another person, Usman Lawn Tanko, commented that anyone who blasphemed the prophet would be dealt with.

He said, “Muslim (Islam) is a religion of peace but we will not tolerate such kind of stupidity to our noble prophet. I swear without any exception anybody who did (sic) it again or try to will expect the same consequence or above that. Be careful.”

One Abazarri Lawan Imran pointed out that the people who assaulted and eventually killed the Igbo woman should be commended.

“If it is true (that) she abused our lovely prophet, I really appreciate the decision by the youth. We know the government and its people would not support as it shown in the issue of Adul Inyas. When government can’t defend our religion we shall (n)ever support or defend that government, whether state or federal. I love you Muhammad (SAW) more than myself and even my parents,” Imran said.

While the commentators praised the killing, they also criticised the governor, saying they would vote him out come 2019.

“We also condemn Governor Ganduje. We are just waiting for 2019,” one Nuhu Suleiman posted on the governor’s Facebook wall.

Another contributor on the issue, Muhammad Usman, said, “I am sure they (the perpetrators of the violence) did the best they could do. May Allah reward them with jannatul firdaus.”

Concerning Ganduje, one Bashir Umar Musa wrote, “Stupid governor.”

Reacting to comments by those who supported the killing of the Igbo woman, one Echezona Iloegbunam said, “I can’t imagine the comments from this post. How come mere mortals are fighting for Prophet Muhammad, the so-called prophet of God?”

One Sani Ahmad shot back, “Echezona, or whatever you call yourself, God’s vengeance is certainly above what they did to this woman. It is a show of love for their prophet and any person who did what she did would get the same reward. So be careful.”

The General Secretary of CAN, Musa Asake, however, told our correspondent that Christians in the state would fight back if pushed to the wall.

“In the first place, that woman did not say anything against their prophet. That man had been disturbing her in her shop for sometime before she was eventually killed that day. We appreciate government’s efforts but things are getting to a point that we are getting so tired. We hear of condemnation each time someone is killed and nothing is done about it. Christians are not stupid; we may be silent. We are listening, watching and will act if that man is not brought to justice.

“Those who are writing on the Facebook wall of the governor are irresponsible. They should go ahead and kill again. We are not dumb. We have hands. Because Christianity does not allow us to kill; we encourage ourselves and accept the tragedy brought on us by them. This time around, we want condemnation to come with judgment. Muslim clerics should single out those ones praising the killing and promising to kill more. They give Muslims a bad name,” Asake said.

The Director of Muslim Rights Concern, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, when asked to respond to the Facebook comments, told our correspondent, “Sorry, I can’t fathom this. Which Kano Muslim residents said these? It is too vague. Quote somebody who has a name.

“The JNI has condemned the killing. The Sultan (of Sokoto) also condemned it. The Emir of Kano (Muhammad Sanusi) has always been on the side of dialogue. Let’s not look for non-existent residents. Those who matter have spoken. What we should all do at this point is to assist the police in ensuring that justice is done.”

Penultimate Saturday, President Muhammadu Buhari had promised that justice would be served in the case of the murdered Igbo trader.

Describing the incident as sad and regrettable, Buhari condoled with the husband of the deceased, Agbahime, the family and relations, praying that God would give them the fortitude to bear the loss.

The President had said, “The incident at the Kofar Wambai Market, Kano City, is utterly condemnable, and the state government has been quite proactive.

“Let us ensure that we keep the peace, as justice will be done. Let us learn to respect each other’s faith, so that we can know each other and live together in peace.”

PoliticsGej’s Presidency Was A Bribe To Niger Delta – Sheikh Gumi by outknow(op): 2:40pm On Jun 11, 2016
Controversial cleric, Sheikh Gumi, has stated that Goodluck Jonathan’s presidency was a bribe to the Niger Delta region.

The popular cleric said that because oil was the life blood of Nigeria, the country had been bribing some people in the region to allow oil to flow.

Gumi, who said this in an interview with Daily Trust, also stated that the ‘bribe’ was started by former president, Olusegun Obasanjo and was continued by Umar Musa Yar’adua.

He said: “I saw this re-emergence of Niger Delta militancy coming. This is political. I once said it about a year ago that this problem would come up.

“Because of the fact that the lifeline of Nigeria’s economy depends on oil, the previous governments were made to be bribing these people for them to allow the oil production to flow. It went to the level as if Nigeria was sharing the oil with them. Obasanjo started that and Yar’adua officialised it.

“The coming of Jonathan into the centre of power was part of that bribe; otherwise it wouldn’t have been possible for him to become vice president and subsequently president of Nigeria.

“These are parts of the price which we have to pay to get the oil. If you know that you don’t have enough power to check these people, don’t incite them, because they can cripple your government.

“What the previous governments did was to pacify these people, not because that was the right thing to do. But if Nigeria is sure that it can crush these people, then the steps the government have taken were right.

“However, we know that Nigeria is fragile and taking these stern measures may destabilise the government.”

PoliticsBuhari Rejects Cancer Surgery, Hoping On A Miracle – Rumoured Report by outknow(op): 5:15pm On Jun 10, 2016
Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has been advised by his London doctors to undergo surgery to remove the cancerous growth, a presidency source confirms to The Trent.

According to the reliable source, Buhari has, indeed, been diagnosed with cancer and the cancer is “growing but not spreading” and doctors have recommended immediate surgery to remove the growth. But Buhari is hesitant to undergo the treatment because he would take 6 months to recuperate, during which time, he would be away from the office.

“Yes, the president has cancer. The doctors found cancer confined in the tissue mass in his prostrate. It’s in the cells. It is growing, but not spreading,” the source disclosed to The Trent, on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter.

“The UK specialists say that considering Baba’s [Buhari’s] age, there’s a high chance that it will start spreading if it is not removed. But Baba is reluctant because it will mean that he will be away from work for six months,” the source revealed. “So, the president is waiting and watching and hoping that it doesn’t spread. If it begins spreading, he would have no choice but to operate.”

“The doctors have told him that stress will speed up the growth rate, so Garba and Adesina are working on a strategy to shield the president from citizen criticism and negative news reports. But it is not easy.”

According to another inside source, the president has directed his media aides to remain mute on the cancer report because it “will just be a distraction”.

President Buhari As A Medical Tourist

Buhari arrived London on Monday, June 6, 2016 on a 10-day sick leave where he would undergo medical treatment for a “persistent ear infection”, presidential spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina announced on Sunday.

“During the holiday, he will see an E.N.T. specialist for a persistent ear infection. The president was examined by his personal physician and an E.N.T Specialist in Abuja and was treated. Both, Nigerian doctors recommended further evaluation purely as a precaution,” Adesina wrote on Facebook.

A day before, an All Progressives Congress-leaning newspaper, Premium Times had reported that Buhari was ill and suffering from the ear disease, Ménière’s disease which was causing him to hear “strange sounds” in his left ear.

According to medical experts, Ménière’s disease has “possible treatments including surgery, but it has no cure and may come and go over a person’s lifetime”.

Buhari Diagnosed

A Nigerian newspaper, News Express, had reported on Wednesday that London doctors have diagnosed Buhari with cancer at the hospital where he reportedly went for a medical check-up a few hours after he arrived in the United Kingdom.

“President Buhari went for check-up hours after he arrived in London. The hospital has discovered the cause of Mr President’s illness to be cancer of the ear and brain. Let us start praying,” a knowledgeable source told the online newspaper.

Another website, dubbed as the “APC mouthpiece”, Sahara Reporters had hinted on Monday that Buhari’s 10-day vacation may be extended because the president was battling with a “terrible cough”.

The presidency, however, has remains mute on this new revelation on the president’s health. Adesina still insists that Buhari is not sick, but “as fit as a fiddle“.

you are a wise man bro.

that's why I don't agree with Nnamdi kanu. he spews hate against yoruba which I'm a part of. whereas, an average yoruba man like me have nothing against igbos or biafra. I don't give a bleep if nigeria divides, in fact I support it. only a politician who benefits from the injustice in Nigeria wants the status quo to remain and they cut across all ethnic groups in Nigeria. an ekweremadu would not want to give up his deputy senate president for biafra, so also tinubu, atiku, obj, GEJ etc would fight for nigeria to remain one. that's the hypocrisy of the biafrans. they label a whole tribe enemy instead of the political class.
who nigeria don epp?
Lol, what makes you average

Actually, Ibo Politicians were the ones that initiated, orchestrated and actualized the "Midwest/Nigerdelta/SouthSouth" Brouhaha in an effort to neutralize Western Nigerian influence in the Region. Read your history books.

You people just like chest beating. Are Biafrans the ones fighting for Niger Deltans now? are they the ones crumbling the Nigerian economy now?,
What are you fighting for? Amnesty?pipe security?gateman? Do you know the brain behind NDA? have you seen their mode of operation? They can remember twitter/facebook. they can remember currency?very soon i will see flag or coat of arm.the next once will start a radio station.
If not for radio Biafra. You people will be agitating for amnesty of 20k per month. What a shame.

Radio Biafra Just opened your eyes of the enormous powers you have. You never knew that you are the oxygen sustainning Nigeria. Someone will come and tell you that you will be given 5% treatment and you keep quite. I don't keep a Niger delta man as a friend. Cos they don't reason. They just like partying. Once you give them that token, the next thing is hotel, brothel, beer parlour, etc. That is why an average igbo girl will not spear them. They finish them and if possible will run.I am just angry with them.Because ...they don't know their value

Still Far from who you are. The divide n rule ideology is still in your head. Just go to the north an d shout "Biafra" and shout "Niger Delta." Watch peoples'reactions. Just to show you that without Biafra You don't have ID. They called you South South. You answered without asking where is North North. They called you Niger Delta, you answered with asking, where Niger confluence/desert/Lagoon. Don't worry. They will call you another one. You will answer too.

we don't need Niger Deltans for our self determination. If we can survive in desert, we can survive anywhere. Just that Niger Delta is in The territory we refer as Biafra. If you guys were outside the map of Biafra, Biafrans wouldn't have been disturbed on Niger delta issue.
