maybe we should just stick to the discussion on the best military in Africa. Nigeria has its problems and south Africa does too, but this are issues that do not represent the main purpose for which this thread was created.

Its not lazyness. Nigerians are very busy people. They do not depend on the government for anything so when the government ask them to abandon their daily activities and jobs to partake in any such exercise they find it annoying.

They are to provide Synthetic-Aperture Radar satellites in the country meaning the receiver (Antenna) will be in Nigeria.

So in communication, you have a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter is probably in outer space and the receiver is the Antenna

Providing SAR technology to develope satellites for a country is one thing signing an agreement to provide SAR enabled satelite technology is another thing.
Why?
Because in the first scenario the government is in control of the use of such technology while in the second case, to the extent of the jurisdictional boundaries agreed upon, the private company in charge of those satellites being in business for profit are allowed to sell satellite images to third party buyers who must not be affiliated with the federal government of Nigeria or any of its ministries. This agreement is the case of allowing a private outfit to capture and provide GEOINT( Geographical intelligence) for use by private outfits without any laid down law( do not tell me we have a law that provides for the exigencies)to guide such transactions. Or to ensure that in the long run, this do not expose the nation to a national security threat.
I believe with the aid of a dictionary and wikipedia, you will be able to understand (now) the reason for my first comment. Thank you.

we dont. The order never got home. Under one military leader, i think it was IBB. But who needs chinook. With in the RPG filledf boko haram desert. Its to stiff cant be maneuvered and can hardly defend itself. But i would have loved to see it in the army airarm and not the airforce. Chinook is army stuff for troop transport.

Russia did not benefit from any lend lease program you are talking about. Russia fought a very bloody and brutal conflict within her territory without the help of her european "friends".

i may not argue with you about which country have the biggest or smallest gun, but whenever i see someone trying to mess with historical facts to suit his purpose i always try to correct that person. Operation Barbarossa was unsuccesful not because Germany was ill equipped or Russia was fully prepared but it was because of the ill timing of the operation which was brought about by hitler's temper. Hitler invaded Russia at a time when God and Nature could ve been said to be on the russian side. The harsh russian winter wiped out half of his troops and their supply because they never thought the winter would meet them in russia. Russian Forces taking advantage of this weakness dealth a serious blow to the germans in the battle of stalingrad. The germans were where caught in the middle of mother russia with the cold behind them and sure death in front of them. The battle of stalingrad recorded till today the world most desicive victory.
