Ecowas is a lost cause. This slum regional entity is on a French tow truck. Most of the presidents can't do anything good expect connive to overthrow any leader that does not fit in the French neo -colonial agenda.
ecowas can be revived with more "Africane" commitment from its leaders. We should avoid the aids that bites. And push for a common trade and financial zone.

Nigerians, You also voted for a man that should be in the museum ?

Congratulations, Enjoy your change!

Your President, said he spoke with the President of West-Germany. This is the sort of change you voted for, thank you for taking Nigeria 30 years backwards.
and joe biden called africa a country. I made that decision while you were still bearing your pro-jonathan signature. Nigeria is in billion of dollars worth of debt with no tangible project on ground to show for it, another billion was borrowed for security and till today all we have are old rotten tanks and cold war era systems, you love your country but you do not think she deserve the best? You think anything thrown at it by the government and her thieving allies becomes the best, no wonder you suddenly began to label the textron scorpion as a very effective air platform immediately you noticed we may be going for it, the jf17 became a perfect master piece once nigerian "stingy and corrupt leaders" showed interest in it. You praised every effort under the jonathan Government and yet it allowed so much shame and ridicule on the Nigerian Military which you Love and cherish, under his government the ,military became a political institution with its senior officers moving around with hanging pot bellies and "grand ma's" walking aid/sticks setting a very bad example for young officers and other prospectives, we complain about young men joining the army to earn a living but the high ranking officers of the army have shown it to this young men by means of their flamboyant unprofessional lifestyle that joining the army is the surest way to be rich and in control in nigeria, we see their wives sending officers on uniform to go shopping for them with government vehicles, we see them ordering their men to beat up citizens, the chibok issue is another case, why will any school be left without military presence in that region when the elites are packing up to 3-5 hiluxes and prado's filled with military "VIP" escort?, a community of 300,000 people in nigeria may not have one single police vehicle on patrol in it for one month but when you go to the house of the politically rich you find 4-5 hiluxes protecting them and their relatives.
Sir, i do like to take a chance at change than to remain under a self induced deception that it is all ok. It was not ok.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria To Lead The Chad Basin Joint Force Against Boko Haram by overhypedsteve(m):
Yes! buhari is the giant of africa, Nigeria is the giant of africa. But the guy tall sha.

All through the presidential campaign i ws jst watching buhari and jonathan closely. You all know that since Nigeria was created even before independence .since 1914 making it 101 years Nigeria have never suffered the kind of international insult she suffered under jonathan, we kept hearing Chad army invades Nigeria, cameroon army bombs nigeria to fight boko haram, Niger army chase nigerian refugees, Nigerian soldiers wear woman wrapper to avoid bokoharam. Imagine the kind of shame and fear jonathan brought upon us, our national security was zero, we dont know if one da we will hear that chad or niger or cameroon or bokoharam invade aso rock( the place were we all look up to for guidiance), this whoel thing made me realise that we were been ruled by a clueless, corrupt and unpatriotic element, bcus i know patriotism when i see it, i saw it in siriusblack, i saw it in henry120,i saw it in bidexi and i know that these are kids that would rather die than let an inch of their country fall to another man. Vexed by the current situation and hungry for a change, i decided to go through buhari's profile, what i saw brought tears to my eyes. A man so dedicated to his country he had to keep contesting to lead it despite his age, he was the man that we all called a dullard, but he was also the man that back in his militaru days he risked his life and that of his men to chase out invading chadian soldiers out of Nigeria(few of you know about ds) i saw one of his campaign video and i watched it and in the end with his last words the tears gave way, he said " let me show you that you can be proud of your country" that was all i needed to hear. That was all the campaign he needed to get my vote.
PoliticsRe: I'm Preparing Military Needs For G-7 Leaders.-buhari by overhypedsteve(m): 9:47pm On Jun 11, 2015
I knew this would eventually happen. What are we going to gain from flooding our military with western made equipements knowing the politics involved with those things. Then when they deem it right they can place sanction on our military from buying spare parts and replacements for our equipments and the whole thing will collapse. Have anybody heard about the Nigerian Advanced Jaguar jets? Well we got them from britain(about a squadron) but since we bought them they have not seen any relevant flight hour because the western countries refuse to sell us weapons and parts for the jets. Buhari should be careful when dealing with this albinos.

Opioko:
So, I accompanied my dad to Abuja today because
he had to meet with Buhari to congratulate him and also to discuss other important issues. They spent a lot of
hours in the meeting while I waited in some kinda room I
think it was the waiting room where I helped myself with
all sorts of refreshment.

Fast forward after the meeting, the president alongside my
dad came into the room and there my dad introduced him
to me, he asked me few questions mainly about my
university education and my plans after graduation which
I answered and then I requested to ask him some
questions too, he then replied I should make it snappy.
Being a political science student, I asked him few
questions concerning his plans for Nigeria in the coming years and then a thought just popped up in my mind to ask him if he visits or is a member of this forum knowing he's a good lover of social networks... He then smiled and replied yes, out of surprise and curiosity, I asked what his username is, he then replied he can't let me into that for some personal and security reasons. He then smiled and left with my dad. I then thought to myself, Wow! This man is
really friendly.
this is why they banned ogogoro.

PoliticsRe: We Need An Army Of 500,000 Men, Minimum. by overhypedsteve(m): 8:37am On Jun 05, 2015
ROSSIKE:
The most realistic way to fight BH is to make the Nigerian army by far the biggest army in Africa, with at least 500,000 men. Our army strength at present is about 60,000. Defending a country of 170 million? It's ludicrous. The country is too big for such a small-sized army. They will be spread too thin in any attempts to contain BH, who are able to strike at will, taking advantage of the vast size of the country, and its multitude of population centres. Right now they're spoilt for choice on where to send their suicide bombers.

To effectively monitor and patrol all population centres and checkmate BH, we need a HUGE army. We must find resources from wherever to maintain that force. In WW2, 15 million soldiers served in the German army. In Russia, the Red Army comprised 34 million soldiers. For a routine expedition, they would deploy like 4 million soldiers!

What are we doing parading 60,000 men and calling it an army? We have no army.

As a country, without security you can't do anything. You cannot grow economically. You cannot manufacture. You cannot expand education and industry. You can't develop tourism. You are at a standstill.

Buhari, give us a PROPER ARMY. 500,000 minimum, with modern equipment, and good pay - and BH will be history.
let me comment on your reference to the worldwar2 military institutions of central and eastern europe. First of all in a war situation nations activate their reserve forces and other paramilitary to serve as infantry men, thats why you were able to get that figure. During the biafra war the federal side deployed more than half a million troops to prosecute the war against our then rebel region. Biafra on her own was able to conjure almost 2million trained and untrained men to fight. But if biafra was to have succeeded in the war do you think she would have been able to maintain all the 2million soldiers she had during the war? Nigeria is not fighting a conventional war, she is not facing any threat from any conventional force at present, we live in one of the worlds most friendly sub-region(west africa) all our neighbours need us to grow hence they will hardly amount to relevant source of threat during our strategic threat assesment. Despite being rich Nigeria maintain a medium regional strike capability,in a region where chad, sudan, algeria, morroco, egypt all possess deep strike attack air platform(chadian mig29's,sudanese frogfoots su24,egyptian f16,algerian mig29,morrocan f16) we still insist on maintaining "just enough to keep us going". At present i can tell you that the only detterence we have against an external african threat is our economy. Which can hardly cater for our present military institutions, what i think we need in nigeria is, more funding and professionalism, more local content and less conservative thinking. We need to start doing things the modern way. I for one insist that our next space satelite should be of military grade with high quality image capturing and it should be datalinked directly to all our airbases, volatile areas in the north( including areas suffering from herdsmen attacks should be placed under complete military supervion( an outpost), military spending should be nothing less than 6billion dols, our epe rocket launch centre should be upgraded and the projected should receive good funding and foreign patnership, the army air wing should have at least up to 20 gunships, and two c130's (longhaul) for transporting troops and equipment without the normal formalities of asking for the service from the airforce, they should also have at least 4 mediovacs ( shey you see our presidential chopper? That is a good example of what you can use for a mediovac). To be continued...

I believe Africans should be wise enough to ensure that even the most stringent company policies, provides for the needs of those with special conditions. This sort of thing could cause a serious public protest in the western world. How can you prevent someone from traveling because she is on wheel chairs. How do we even make our company policies? So the maker of the company policies did not think that one day an eminent, world reknowned vip may be on wheel chair and need the service of the airline, in that case what will they do? Or will they suddenly break company policies to suit the person? I am very sure if that lady was white and of european or american origin, she would have been given a special care. They may even assign a seperate air hostess to attend to her. Africans will only behave like Humans when they see a white person. Why?

"now that buhari is in power do you think he will abandon all his old cloths? Do you think the cloth he wore for the inauguration was a brand new one? Do you think Buhari will still agree to bath with premier soap? What does he put on when he is at home? Does he go around the house(defence house) putting on Boxers and singlets or is it that he goes to bed in those heavy looking agbada? These are salient questions that Nigerians need to be asking about the president, we deserve to know these things. These questions just keep popping in my head anytime i hear the name Buhari.

You just concorted a post made up with lies and you expect every living Nigeria to believe you? How can you say Aisha Buhari is wearing a wrist watch cost 10mils is that a politically relevant statement or was she holding any previous political office, that you can then say she stole the money, or do you think there is no possibility that it was a gifted luxury?, how can you say southj african machineries are fighting BOKOHaram ve you been to the forefront cus all the boys fighting in the front have refuted this statement. As per Ben Bruce we just pray he last in politics long enough till 2019, Nigeria will always welcome anybody who is good enough to rule her.

Foreign AffairsRe: Japan Gave China Another Warning Over The South China Sea by overhypedsteve(m): 12:59pm On May 31, 2015
It is in the United states broader security interest to maintain peace and order in the south china sea area. Any aggressive move by anyone from this region would degenerate into a series of catastrophic armed hostilities that would draw japan into direct conflict with china and with japan finally busy, North Korea will make Her push into the south. While Russia and India would act as detterence against any intervention from the united states. Any silly move by the united states would see her acting alone a even the NATO would not want to have anything to do with a conflict of this scale, europe will sue for neutrality and focus on Russia in the North East. While india will retain a neutral position until either her or her russian ally is harrassed, china will obviously create a false scenario to drag them into the war and once they are all in japan will prove to small a foe for them, they will then focus their aggression on the united states. Before Nato will deliberate joining the war or not joining the united states military aparatus would have been badly dismantled so much that she will not be able to participate in international politics as a power. European power seeing the level of damage done to the united states will sue for a peace negotiation heade by neutral and peace inclined nations (non nato member states)Brazil,Nigeria, and,Algeria. The peace agreement would include this terms total decommisioning of all foreign military bases ( US) destruction and decommisioning of all the US nuclear arsenal, including the ones in her hidden nuclear submarines. Dismantling of all universal armed forces e,g us marines and french legionaire. And a ban will be placed on the us from engaging in any military activity for the next ten years.
I know some people will feel this is impossible to happpen but a Global war always bring about a new world power.
