OP. I understand how you feel about this development, it is normal. But worry less, Nigeria is a country that any well thinking world leader should not ignore. Why? Because we hold the affairs and politics of africa in our hand. Or did you not hear what the president of somalia told Buhari? "he told buhari to take his rightful position as the leader of africa, God specially created us to lead africa and the past administration have failed in this area. Expecially in his management of the ebola saga in liberia and his toothless efforts in mali. But you should remember that all the policies and institutions that is helping africa today was either created by nigeria or created with nigeria, take for example AFDB,NEPAD,ECOMOG E.T.C these are african institutions were nigeria retain majority shares and positions ahead of other african states and non african states and in the case of afdb ahead of usa. We maintain the highest voting power in ecowas and afdb. We have thirty sits in ecowas while ghana have ten and the rest have 3 or 5. We are the greatest sponsor of NEPAD and it was created by obasanjo. |
ZuzuMan:bros the thing tire me oh. The decision of the president can only be fully appreciated by a military man. I wonder where this mvmv from come. |
ifedubatoochukw:guy go and sit down. Who even made you a political analyst? The wars being fought by the usa is very different from what nigeria is facing. You made a very, very erroneous statement when you said the usa is fighting a bigger war, the usa is country endowed with more means to an end than nigeria, to nigeria the war she is fighting is bigger than any war the usa have ever fought. Why because it is of direct existential threat to her sovereignity and it is a war in which a loss would be of a fatal existential consequence to her. So what do you think she should do? If the usa is spending just 10% of her military resource to fight isis to do you think nigeria can afford to do the same? If the usa is using a foreign military base to fight isis do you think nigeria can do the same for boko haram? The resources available to them is not available to us. And pls you should also be wise enough to know that maiduguri is not a combat zone, maiduguri is plagued with violent uprisings but she is not a complete combat zone(if you want to know what a combat zone look like go to the region around the syrian border with turkey)as you would have people believe through you mal- ambitious article. Maiduguri remains a federating unit in nigeria and at anytime the government of the day can even choose to make it our federal capital. Government are not moved by what is right or what is wrong( read the book "prince" by machiavelli" you need to dun read well well before you dey name urself analyst" the main determinant of what is right is the end result and as such if this move by Buhari becomes a success tomorrow even america may adopt the tactics. Or did we not hear people comparing nigeria with america during the ebola saga and in the end the same america came to learn our approach that worked? |

a country where the citizens cannot snap pictures of soldiers, government officials and poiticians. why? because they see themselves as Gods; whats wrong in a concerned citizens snapping pictures? are we at war or in a state of emergency? the other day i was heading to kaduna, i stopped to snap pictures of zuma rock ( a national monument) and almost got my a55 kicked by the bullish looking soldiers around. some stvpid fvcks will look at these along the line of partisan politics but i see this as a major problem for all nigerians. why would a common poor yahoo boy go to jail in our country when bigtime thieves in power gets national honour. why do kids get scared when they see a policeman walk past, why do nigerian soldier men walk around the street holding a belt or whip. or are the Whites right? are we really just a bunch of monkeys? |
Wale112:what do you think buhari will wear tomorrow for the inauguration, do you think he will wear a new shirt or a old one? Discuss. |
bettercreature:lol. You really do not understand why they call us the giant of africa. Even if togo, ghana and benin republic gather up to fight nigeria they will not cross their border. No be boast. But na God do am. In a war situation all the fuel, refinaries and everything in the country is channelled towards the fight on ground. |
French finance minister ve clearly stated that they needed someone that would be concerned with the development of francophone africa. |
patches689:congrats! you have built a bird that your country and her immediate natural allies cannot afford. can anything be more stupid. |
This buhari mumu picture will forever haunt all nigerians. Who go snap ds kind thing. May you not pose like this for your enemy to snap you.. |
This capital oil is going somewhere. |

mzilakazi:at least we re fighting against one of the world most vicious terrorist group in a very volatile region. The last time we heard anything about your Military shooting anything was when they blew up the Roof of a Old woman house and when, due to gross incompetence they fired live shots at a civillian vessel. With the state of your military at present and with their recent history, i wonder how you still find the Guts to call anybody's Military a "paper Rambo" |
Wow. I just like seeing Buhari and im Vice. Them dey gee me Joy. |
patches689:your Rooivalk(a combat bird) was getting its upgrade and technical corrections suggestions from flying photography missions, it is still very photography compliant but overtime without any actual combat test which would have brought up the need for upgrades or the induction of new avionics. Overtime your rooivalk is growing outdated. African nations are in the hunt for new combat birds to face emerging threats in africa but nobody is looking south... |
patches689:you may be right there. The change of government does not change the nations military human right record. But guess what? We do not give a long fvck about US built assets, as long as the russians, israel and the chinese re still in the business of producing lethal equipments. The ikri is a program headed by Mekahog of Nigeria with the technical partnership oF Denel. Oga henry shey this programs get future under the new government? |
MikeCZAR:why should he not mention Nigeria, have we not been buying from SA. did we not get our RHEVA'S and IKRI'S from SA companies. do you know the kind of publicity, advert and combat test that the Gazelles, the MI24, and super puma is getting from Nigeria's war on Terror(what the Rooivalk program so badly needs) and with the look of things these Nigerian Air Assets may be engaged against ISIS in Libya soon( this would have exposed the Rooivalk to the world on its effectiveness or ineffectiveness as a Combat Bird) All these will attract prospective buyers, expose technical flaws, and ideas for upgrades or future variants. what else can a combat bird ask for? or where else will the Rooivalk find that kind of attention? |

Centrifude:Fallacies. The aircraft that hovered above the synagogue church before its collapse was identified as a civilian aircraft owned by a nigerian air company. |
