5000 hours in a year is too much by any standard, except you sleep at your place of work and sit all day. Depending on your filing status, you are also paying about 1/3 of that amount as taxes if in the US. I have seen some in similar situations and the negative effects can be long lasting. Work smart. You dont need to sleep at place of work to get that shit bruh!! My hours last year was 5010hrs My W2 is $89,100 and my job still pay $20,000 to my retirement account. Unless you lazy from naija. Ypu will not fit in america Oya yoi want see my pay check? |

Oga, the police can search mobile phone only if Probable cause exists. Stop misleading. People. nairavsdollars: Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu on Thursday said policemen have no right to stop people on the road and search their mobile phones, saying it is an infringement of the law.
Odumosu who spoke in Yoruba on Lagos Television’s programme ‘Owurolawa’ also said it is a criminal act for policemen to arrest young people for indecent dressing, dreadlocks or having tattoos on their bodies, saying any policeman who engages in that will be severely punished.
He said people are free to live their lives the way they want as long as they don’t violate the law.
According to him, since the assumption of office, over 20 policemen have been arrested and detained for committing one offence or another.
” We will not condone any act of indiscipline from policemen. Any policeman who violates the law will be severely punished. The law that applies to citizens also applies to policemen”.
” The law that says motorists must not drive against oncoming traffic also applies to policemen. Any policemen or soldier that drives against traffic will be arrested”
” If you see any policeman doing anything contrary to the law, my phone numbers are available. Just put a call through and we will act promptly on it” he said.
The CP who also said anyone using explosives and firecrackers during the Yuletide will be arrested said he can be reached directly on 08169589826. https://www.independent.ng/police-have-no-right-to-search-mobile-phones-arrest-people-for-indecent-dressing-lagos-cp-odumosu/ |

Romanoff: We place a high premium on Marriage and shame a woman from 30-40yrs for not being married. This is leading to men getting away with randy, abusive and intolerant behaviour because las las, them go marry any woman wey them want and women will manage them like that just so they won't face the stigmatization of being unmarried.
The ones going through abuse in their marriage can't leave cause of the stigma attached to divorcees.
We need to change our mentality. It is a shame on our country, an ideal society by 40 you should be a grand pa or grand ma .Most of my colleagues at work in same age bracket are grand ma and pa. |

Daewoods: Useless Country! No child deserves to be born a Nigerian. The same way two sicklers marrying & giving birth is seen as wickedness & selfishness, that's the same thing as giving birth to an innocent child as a Nigerian, condemning him/her to a life of hardship, suffering and useless existence. I agree with you. |
Politics › Re: Minimum Wage: Obaseki Says N30,000 Not Enough To Take Workers Home by overseasnbeyond: 1:36pm On Dec 04, 2019 |
zakim: Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki, on Tuesday said the new National Minimum Wage of N30,000 is not enough to take workers home. Obaseki disclosed this while delivering his address at the 7th Quadrennial National Delegates conference of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) held in Abuja.
Though Edo state currently has a minimum wage of N25,000, he said N30,000 won’t be a problem noting that “N30,000 is not enough for workers as take home.” He also stated that strong institutions are the corner stone of any stable government in a developed country adding that for Nigeria to meet world best practices, “funding of education, healthcare research institutions and other social services are critical functions of the states; functions that must be prioritised because it is foundational to the organisation and the development of the state.” He added that Nigeria does not need strong men but strong institutions.
“As we strive towards becoming a developed country, the first thing should be more on what we create not whom we create, more on things we put in place for the future generation to see and utilise much more than what will benefit us today,” Obaseki added. Meanwhile, the NASU president, Comrade Chris Ani, noted that “as the statement that Nigeria’s economy remains in a state of comatose as a result of over reliance on revenue from oil cannot be overemphasized,” he called on the government at all levels to fashion out policies that will grow the economy of the country.
He lamented that over reliance on imported goods has turned the country into a dumping ground for all manner of goods and creating jobs for citizens of the exporting countries. To address the menace of unemployment in the country, Ani urged government at all levels to take note that no nation can develop when its active manpower remain underutilised.
