Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Can Good Grade Fetch You A Job In Nigeria? by overtlyderanged: 3:49pm On Feb 22, 2017
It may not guarantee a job (maybe due to a person not interviewing well or some other reason) but it does give you an edge, at least in entry level positions.

Seeing job ads where employers restrict application to graduates within a certain grade range is indicative enough of that.

Another thing is, when you have applicants for an entry level position who have little to no experience, or unrelated experience for that position, in a situation where all things are equal (i.e both have solid interviewing skills, etc), who do you think gets the upper hand? That's right, the person with a better grade.

Although there's a strong debate about the link between good grades and intelligence, you can't really argue that finishing with an excellent result doesn't depict hard work and dedication (of course there are exceptions to this, especially in Nigerian universities), which are excellent qualities for any job.

you discovered her age and now want to back out, am sorry but were you in love with her age or with her just curious

you would have simply confronted her to hear from her. . .I dont support girl and their misbehavior buh you shouldn't judge her cos of that. . .you are the man here think before you take action

Are you saying it is wrong for him to consider age as one of the important factors in the person he desires to marry?

We have some characteristics that we look out for in potential partners, be it a sexy body or intelligence.

Webmasters / Re: What Is The Function Of PHP And Javascript? by overtlyderanged: 4:02am On Dec 24, 2016
OmerianConsult:
Can I build a great site without PHP and JS?

If by great, you mean a site with higher functions like database interaction and such, that's a definite no.

But if it's limited to like a webpage with only images, text and other minor stuff, there are tools like drag and drop builders (weebly, wix, etc) and minor league WordPress for that. (By minor league, I mean just adjusting themes and what not as WordPress does have PHP as it's underlying architecture and could actually get a bit complicated)

Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by overtlyderanged: 5:02pm On Aug 11, 2016
For people looking for how to get flight tickets that won't burn holes through their purses, it appears the best bet would be to book a Royal air maroc flight to Montreal and then a connecting flight via westjet or air Canada to your final destination.

Endeavour to check the itinerary well o, make e no go turn to story.

Ahh...lest I forget, air maroc could get cheaper after midnight, say like around 1-3.

I am not sure. I think due to the current Naira Issues, people now book their tickets through Canadian travel agencies here in Canada and then forward the tickets to the person in Nigeria.

Bruh, abeg how far this way na?

I didn't need to make any transition as both courses are paramedics and very related.

Err...a couple of incorrect assertions here but I don't want to derail the thread. All the best in your application man.

I just received a mail from CIC that my account has been updated and I logged in immediately but no update on my online account. Application May 4 medical mail received and done and passed what is the mail all about please ?

Those mails come in from time to time, you may or may not get another email containing something concrete within the next few days. Word on the thread is people get these sort of emails when their applications are being worked on or something like that.

Personally, I got a similar email on a Friday, followed by an email for medicals the following Monday.

When I read it the cover was different. Ekwueme died from the injuries he sustained in a fight with Madume. Madume, the greedy lecher began eyeing Ihuoma after her husband died. I think Madume later hung himself on a tree after he went blind. The spirit husband came in the form of a snake and spat into his eyes, blinding him. He sunk into depression afterwards, and then committed suicide.

Truly an unforgettable classic... smiley

The concubine was one sick read mehn!

Asked d manager cos shes a family fwend, was told dt Buu Buu told CBN dt Nigerian citizens use dt visit visa means to flee d country, some for greener pastures nd others for school. Dt every Nigerian wants to study abroad,if all leave who will be the leader of tomorow,he wants to make it expensiv so pepl wont try to leave d shores of dis country, dat it wud minimize the number of Temporary Residence applicants not to mention PR.
Just see mentality! We mourn for d dead becos dey hav no acess to life,bt d truth is we shud morn 4 fools cos d have no access to intelligence. D lowest fee there is 48k for visit oh.

April 2011, The White House released copies of President Barack Obama's original long-form birth certificate Wednesday, seeking to put an end to persistent rumors that he was not born in the United States.

In Nigeria, Buhari gave this as his School certificate. See the picture of Buhari, is that how he was when he took WAEC?

Buhari went on vacation to London and could not even visit Cambridge to get his original certificate. Why is that? Because he has none.

Lol see how the "20" at the top right was even cancelled out...smh
