Frankrobbn1: 1. You can proceed to undergo a medical exam after you have submitted a study permit application.
2. Once you have undergone the medical tests, you can send across the E-medical slip via - IRCC WEBFORM NAIRAOBI.
3. According to IRCC, a medical result is valid for a year (12 months).
4. Q-Life charges 35k for an adult from the age of 18 and above. It takes 5 working days for your medical records to be transferred to IRCC GCMS Database.
5. The medical exams are generally confined to a standard physical exam, including blood tests (HIV, syphilis), urine tests, and x-rays, prior medical records and the individual's mental state are also examined.
I hope this information satisfies your enquiry.
It will end in praise Hello Frank. Is one meant to provide a bio data form for the medicals at Qlife? |

Pee2Jay9: I don't know if upfront is REALLY no longer required, or applicants just want to scale through the first approval stage before doing medicals. Anyways, send an email to canadamedicals@qlifefamilyclinic.com.
I had long booked with them for 30th of July but may not make that day.. Whoever wants my space should holla. Hola |

neverlosehope: Good day All,
I will like to encourage sometime with a little about my story. I graduated from a Nigerian university with a second-class lower division degree in STEM at 24 years and finished NYSC at 25 years. Unfortunately, as peculiar with Nigerian environmental, I got my first job at 28 years after 4 years in the wilderness. The delay in getting a job was my mediocre degree (i.e., finishing with 2.2) and lack of working experience at 25 years (how will I get the necessary work experience when I have never been employed).
Fast forward to a decade later, after working for over a decade, got frustrated with Nigeria society placing a limited to what you can achieve, I decide to make a change to my family situation by returning to school in US/Canada. Initially, there were few obstacles, I got admitted into a fully-funded master’s degree program in the US with an average stipend by God’s grace. I left the shore or Nigeria with my entire family and started the program at 40 years. I graduated with a master’s degree with a GPA of 3.56/4.0 at 42 years. Fortunately, I was admitted into a fully-funded Ph.D. program in Canada’s top university with a very generous stipend and started the program at 42 years. I have currently completed the program required coursework with a GPA of 4.0/4.0, passed candidacy exam, five publications, and 3 manuscripts under review in top peer-review journals.
What is my point? Despite where you might have started from, the environment you live might not be favorable to you, age or family commitments might be barriers. However, do not give up, please hold on to your dream. The grace of God will see you through. If you quit today, you have failed tomorrow.
Please note My story is not unique; I have seen many tremendous journeys of beautiful people who do not quit/give up and achieved great heights. I am sharing my story to encourage you that no barrier is big or strong enough to stop you from achieving your dream.
I hope to challenge someone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I needed this. Quite inspirational considering many of us are in this position expecially with regard to age. |

jelmusboy: Submitted application barely one month ago and this is what I got this morning
Dear Bleep,
Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of: your qualifications, previous studies, missing mark sheets, academic record, level of establishment, language abilities, financial ability, and/or your future prospects and plans.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.

Hi All,
Would it be an issue if one has an active Express Entry account when applying for a Canadian study permit. Would it be advisable to delete the EE profile?
Am asking cos the spate of denials are worrisome and one cannot be too careful. |

I will sincerely appreciate! Hi Tanisure, Is the upfront medical examination still ongoing? I thought Qlife stopped it a while back and only attend to people referred to them by IRCC? |

Drahl: Brothers and sisters,I have finally been liberated from the clutches of IELTS ooooo.I know that it is neither ITA nor PPR,but I just have to share this story to encourage others in this IELTS quagmire. NOV1 2018 BC- L7.5 R9 S7.5 W6.5 DEC15 2018 BC- L6.5 R9 S7 W7 JAN19 2019 BC- L8 R9 S7.5 W6.5(EOR Unchanged 15k waka) MAY 11 2019 MOD- L8.5 R9 S7 W6.5(EOR Unchanged 46,214k waka) JULY 27 2019 BC- L8.5 R9 S8 W 6.5(Requested for a remark) AUG 17 2019 BC- L8 R8 S6.5 W7(this result made me to start believing that village people actually exists)
After failing IELTS 2 consecutive times,I decided not to write again.I was tired..but when the job I was searching for in Amsterdam went south,I knew I had to go back to re-writing IELTS.I came to this platform to seek for help in listening(my weak point)..and the wonderful people here gave me tips on how to pass it. I want to thank @NanaF for introducing me to Cambridge series and convincing me that band 9 was very feasible in listening.God bless you abundantly ma'am.I also want to thank @CheesyTee,@adeptonlin,@ifeoma77 and @temas for their tips on how to ace listening.God bless you all.i am indeed grateful. I finished cambridge series 1-13 and started passing listening with a minimum of band 8 but I started failing writing.I failed twice consecutively that I had to switch to MOD(which i still failed). At this point, I knew I needed help in writing.I had to contact Johnnybravo..I told him that I wanted to unlearn and re-learn writing. That guy is very good and thorough..he can scrutinize..we booked 2weeks session..everyday I would write an essay and he would review it..I started seeing why I was stuck on 6.5..He would review it word for word and give me appropriate synonyms to replace the ones I had written.on one occasion,he told me to use the word 'rationale' to replace 'reasons'.. I said ok..and he says spell it for me..I didnt want to tell him that I had a doctorate degree in engineering analysis and that spelling error is not the reason why I am stuck on 6.5(lol)..he probably thought I would spell it as 'rational'.I am indeed grateful to johnnybravo(we actually attended uniben together{my hall 3 guy}) ..God bless you and I pray your PPR arrives very very soon. I booked 27 july and still got 6.5 in writing despite Johnnybravo's review...I say na lie..I nor gree..results were released on 9th august..I ordered a remark and booked another test for august 17th,results were released on 30th and I got 7 in writing but (6.5 in speaking)..How on earth can i score 6.5 in speaking? As I was lamenting on my speaking scores,I got a mail that the remark for July 27 was out.I was in Ikoyi today to collect the test report and behold my writing had increased to a 7.0..I almost sublimed..so i stand with: L8.5 R9 S8 W7. Finally, I want to thank @yemblaze who advised me to seek help for my writing.she is a wonderful person.she would send me mails asking about my IELTS result and the outcome of my EOR'S.God bless you ma'am. I am also happy for @venorite..I read your story and it was very inspiring. Contrats Bro. Can you send me a mail on owee2003@yahoo.com as I will need your help on the materials used for reading and writing. |
