I got an interview invitation last Friday with one newly established company around Airport road, Rukpoku, Port Harcourt(name withheld). I was over-qualified, and I answered their questions perfectly, but what shocked me was when the interviewer asked me what church i attended.

I proudly answered "Catholic". His facial expression changed and he said "whoever doesn't pay tithe can hinder the growth of a company."

He even tried backing his statement with biblical quotations.I was very shocked so I can't even remember all the crap he said.

I brought this here to tell Nairalanders what religion has turned our people into.

OP, am a catholic and i pay my tithe.

Having known her each time I visited my mum on holidays (who had divorced my dad since I was 6years old). In December 2006 we started dating. Her parents have also been seperated since she was 9. Her mum raised her and her 3 other siblings to SSCE level & couldn't help again. Life was not easy for me too as I sponsored myself through the University. Please advice me!

I was called this afternoon to go and check my name at the notice board of Federal secretariat. At first I was thinking it was recruitment exercise into the federal civil service but I saw a heading titled list of successful candidates for natforce recruitment. Please house, what is it all about,the pay package and any other thing in need to know. It's urgent.

CrazyMan: If you weren't given any official or temporary identity card, or offered an appointment letter, and the pay is poor like you stated, worst of all it has zero skill acquisition in regards to your field, then what in heavens name are you doing in such place?

I have been working in this company for a year now without no employment letter nor any form of I'D card. I work as a Service Engineer in this company, and it's a tricycle assembly company. To be honest, I don't seem to get much experience that will help push my career to the next level and besides the pay is poor for a graduate. I am thinking of attending this IDPE training. I want to ask if the certificate is recognized in the oil and gas industry and my chance of employability. I studied Mechanical Engineering in school.

You are very correct. I am from that place. He only place some selected few in positions. If you want to join the Nigerian armed force, if you are not his candidate, nothing for you. He has done virtually nothing since his fifteen(15) years in the upper legislative chamber.
