Shame! Shame! I don't see anything African about this. Instead i see folks trapped in postcolonial mentality. Many dressed in flowing european gowns, and fake hair.

What is African about this?

Crime / Re: Man Who Witnessed An FRSC Official Smashing A Man's Car Explains What Happened by owo2000: 3:32pm On Jul 13, 2017
I read some of the comments here and I'm not surprised why Nigeria is not progressing.
1. FRSC are not sworn law enforcement police officers. They are road safety officers who can't use any form of force to restrain or detain anyone.
2. They could radio the next checkpoint or nearest police detail in the area.
3. The FRSC officers were compromised the safety of the driver, passenger's, other road users, and even themselves.

Now to those juvenile comnents I've just read. All I can tell you is to think outside the box.

Why do some folks on this forum disrespect this activist? He might not be a perfect man in your book but at least, he is bold enough to stand for something.
Politics / Re: Police Plans To Arraign Me In Court On Phony Charges - Omoyele Sowore by owo2000: 4:09pm On Jan 12, 2017
Please stop making reckless and irresponsible comments even if you have no clue about activism and civil rights.
I can understand that many folks on this forum are young and don't study nor understand history.

5 Questions for Nairalanders

1. Do we have a President in this country called Nigeria?
2. Do we have senators who were elected to represent us in the senate?
3. Is Nigeria really still an independent nation?
4. How do foreigners view us?
5. What do we do?

Religion / Re: Why Pastor Adeboye Should Hand-Over Now by owo2000: 3:37am On Nov 03, 2014
The writer has a great point. We need to snap out of this African mentality and start applying Christ like attitude. The Lord Jesus himself made plans for the continuity of the commission he didn't say until death do us apart. I think the G.O should consider imparting new leaders. Wisdom is calling! Who is Wisdom? Our Lord Jesus. Selah!
After all said...In no way must a servant of God be disrespected in anyway shape or form.

Accountability!
Lets be more proactive great Nigerians we need to ask more questions from our government. I personally have written and called my Representative to seek answers to critical matters in my community.

We cant remain Passive forever! Ask your governors, senators, pastors, mayors...etc

God Bless Nigeria
Health / Re: Health Worker 2nd In US To Test Positive For Ebola by owo2000: 3:11am On Oct 13, 2014
Ebola is no Hoax. Here in my hand i hold a copy of the PATENT US20120251502 A1 this is owned by the U.S Government. Check this yourself online. There have been around 800 Ebola deαths this year and at no time was a drug treatment for the disease offered to African patients.
In fact, 2 U.S (whites) were treated in San Diego, CA.

Eric Duncan an Liberian national was not given the same care and treatment given to the other white folks infected with the Ebola virus , guess what! He is dead.

Nigeria! Shine your EYES

I'm surprised more Nigerians are not educating themselves on matters of government conspiracies, from the U.S to the corridors of Politicians in ASO ROCK (FCT Abuja Nigeria). SHINE YOUR EYES NIGERIANS......
TV/Movies / Re: A Mile From Home - Nigerian Trailer by owo2000: 5:10pm On Apr 10, 2013
Hmmm! foolishness. Another idiotic and propaganda for violence. You folks complain of cults in your Universities, armed robbery and all unhealthy and sadistic activities.

When will you open your eyes and renew our minds to the fact that all these type of movies promotes violence subtly. As a matter of fact the Western world you copy; a good example the U.S, is making every effort to control such gun violence.

I strongly believe in the right of free speech, but Nigeria is gradually embracing an epidermic from the ghettos and alleys of certain cities in the U.S. The celebration of murder and mayhem is nothing to glory about in our movies. Nollywood needs to do a script check or else......

Foolish followers and lazy leaders.

When will you folks wake up? This is nothing but propaganda that the foolish calls progress. God in heaven is not happy about this.

Ladies and gentlemen of Nairaland, I am really impressed with the amount of brainstorming that goes on here.

I have hope in you Nigeria, I have hope in you. Many of you have proven that amidst this epidemic of corrupting we still have folks with a heart of flesh pumping warm blood.

Let it be known, everyone that is involved in raping Nigeria will pay for it, either in this life or the one to come.

I read all these comments and my heart aches as Nigeria cries in agony.

Once again her children are being raped and left bleeding.

A Civilian Servant "governor" has taken the role of a bully. Yes! He was voted in supposedly by these same people. See what Civilian Servants do to my Nigeria.

And to you folks that think this is the right way to go. I pray you experience the same thing. If not you your children will.
Someone will come in and takeover over your property, I pray you loose your jobs, my your businesses be taken over by your enemy. Say amen if you believe this is the best way to do business.

Hmmm! Fashola think about what you are doing. This is not right.

Politics / Re: UK Fights Abuse Of NHS By Nigerians by owo2000: 10:02pm On Aug 27, 2012
The U.S has been implementing this subtly. A lady was denied entry through the JFK Int. Airport because she was owing the state of New York some thousands of $$ during a visit to one of the county hospital. The U.S Consulate granting a VISA does not guarantee automatic admittance into the U.S. Its left to the discretion of the U.S Homeland Security and Customs service.
Foreign Affairs / Re: South African Police Kill Striking Miners! by owo2000: 12:39pm On Aug 18, 2012
Ladies and gentlemen, with all the new technology available. They could still have been subdued with less force. These people had the right to ask for a raise. Death was not the solution. Where are the bean pellets?, the rubber bullets?, the lachrymal agent(Tear gas)?

This was excessive force. Let's not gloat over destruction, waste and unnecessary violence. Especially you folks that believe these folks needed to die.
Come on!

Religion / Re: Slaps Giving! By Bishop David Oyedepo by owo2000: 5:43am On Dec 19, 2011
Calm down folks! Our father Bishop David Oyedepo is a servant of God and a man. In John 2:15 Jesus had to to display some measure of physical authority.

John 2: 15 So he made a[b] whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.

I am so tired of all you whining, weak and fruitless folks. The woman claimed she was a witch. The Bishop must have reacted out of disgust on hearing her.
