Nnanwoyi:fashola is the greatest tribalist in Nigeria.. from hid governor days. A real igbo hater, that corrupt milipede |
Fulani is the problem we have in this country. They want to rule, they don't want any other people to rule them, they believe they are direct descendants of one mohammed, they want to dominate and take over your land, the preach violence . Infact, their outlook to life is that of capture and conquer. So there is a problem when they are in a multi ethnic state. The aye the problem in this country. |

Efriday1:Everything that is happening today is GEJs fault. His excuse for allowing the mistake to become the president was that "his political spiration was not worth the lives of any Nigerian".. Very lousy saying. I guess by now he will be appreciating how his political decision to hand over to this misfit has led to skyrocketing cost of living, army killings of thousands, ethnic strife and others. GEJ is too shallow and desperately tuned to his laughable idea of one Nigeria that he has allowed a man who will set Nigeria 30 years backwards to become the president. |
Both your monarchy and democracy are all messed up systems that have failed abysmally in this country because of inherent cultural flaws. Present day democracy in this country is even saddled by a serf mentality from most of the populace which allows the likes of buhari to get away with a whole lot of atrocities simply because most clans in this country have already been prepared for subservient existence by their default monarchical set ups. . Monarchies are atrocious concepts that should be left as a relic from a prehistoric past. Without a certain level of forced liberalism, most monarchies would still be busy stifling societal growth. Blunting the modernization of cultural tools has always been a political tool in the hands of monarchies desperate to outlast their usefulness. The job of a government should be the opposite. Democracy in this clime on the other hand is a 'feel good' tag that is defined and practiced depending on the mentality of the political drivers in any given society. A society is not there simply because she is tagged a democratic state. A state is there because it has conscious leaders willing to utilize power for common good. The password here is "good-leadership". Essentially, the good thing about democracy is the text book definition that allows you to think that you actually elected your leaders and that you can actually fire them if they don't do that for which they were elected. You are fooled to think you are in-charge. We most times run with this impression , yet, warped democracies provide for all sorts of interests groups, both local and foreign, with the opportunity to whimsically infiltrate the system, and manipulate with impunity utilizing all the vulnerabilities that periodic elections provide. Read Gambia.. Formation and maintenance of a party structure is not for the poor and yet the poor dominate the numbers in every society. So how can a costly venture that can only be dominated by the ultra rich carter for the poor? We get seriously fixated on what is supposed to be without being realistic most times. Democracy is supposed to be a government by the majority, right? But when elections are rigged, when the media takes money from the rich and unleashes an overdose of propaganda favoring a particular candidate against the other, when the umpire takes side, when a cabal gerrymanders its way through by calibrating the political constituents in a way that more districts/polling booths are allocated to sympathetic clans, do we still have a democratic space that can guarantee a government of the people for the people and by the people? Yet it was communism that brought endless trading surplus and better living standards to the Chinese, it was an army General that put South Korea on the part of technological domination, it was an emperor that made Japan a shining example of urbanization and development, a bunch of ultra hard-line Islamic fundamentalists created a regional power out of the wreck of shahs Iran, Libya was better under a "despot" that under a wayward 'democracy'.. We can go on.... What we need is a benevolent dictator. What we don't have is a trusted system that can routinely throw up such characters,. |
NNVanguard:Fact? He has not been convicted by any court, you know? There is that chance he is not guilty, right? |
How is that his business? Is he so idle to worry about Big Brother? Or is he a perv? |
Epic.. |
After collecting over blown "import duties" on goods bought with a skyrocketing naira, these funny looking trio will work into your 'shop' and start snatching the wares.. If they knew the goods were/are substandard, why did they allow them into the country in the first place? And all these snatching of goods and burning/tearing down the markets, is that the new fad? |

FastShipping:That line about "government having no business creating jobs" has been so abused in this country that we need to start stoning politicians who wantonly use that dodgy excuse to gloss over their responsibilities,(And this is coming from a person who has never worked for government no another person since youth service!) Why am i saying that? While it is true that Nigerian youths have been so mentally derailed to always wait for government jobs instead of starting something on their own, we have to ask ourselves, how did we get here? The fact is that it is the job of the government to provide the citizens with the skills needed for them to be able to be competitive in a modern economy! Is the Nigerian government doing so? No! You cant claim to be doing so when what you have is a litany of wayward universities with mangled curriculum! You have to train the young ones to specifics and you have to draw up your curriculum in a way that skilled hands coming of the campuses can easily be meaningful to the society by having the necessary training to start off from areas within the society where their skills are badly needed. That helps make their jobs rewarding.. You don't do that by flooding everywhere with just lawyers and doctors, with sociologists and political scientists. We need more engineers in this country, more scientists, geologists, artists, and more importantly, more qualified artisans. How many mechanics or carpenters, or masons have you met that acquired their skills in a 'skills acquisition center' where there are set standards and examinations to meet quality skills training in order to insure optimal output? But when that mechanic that learnt his thread by watching his old uncle messes up your car engine, you start to curse and hiss. BOTTOMLINE: The government failed the citizens by not identifying areas in the economy where we need more hands, then building more schools to skill citizens optimally to fill in those areas and providing cheap funds through dedicated bank loans for start up thereafter! Simple! |
stinggy:Our dear governor is all over the place. Big ideas, wrong planning..My brother is a very chaotic character that has the best of intentions but he is grossly starved of the organisational skills to transform his gigantic ideas into real policy results... Worse still, he is too intoxicated with this irritating notion of him, somehow being the new Azikiwe of igbo politics that he seem to have little or no regards for seasoned advisers!.., surrounding himself with a retinue of APC henchmen and mediocre hands as commissioners (one of his commissioners was my junior in high school, and if the truth must be told, he was not bright) hasn't helped matters.. We need a technocrat in Imo state.., a real technocrat. The good news is that we have them in abundance. The bad news is that, Imo state being the headquarters of Catholicism in Nigeria, most of them feel that politics is too dirty and evil for their participation. And so we are left with these riotous band of desperate rabble-rousers with the likes of Udenwa and Ohakim fouling the atmosphere with their gaseous politics?.., educated but bereft of ideas on how to move the state to the next stage. Corruption being their favorite past time, they have been blundering their way through. |
Meanwhile they are still searching for money for projects in the east though they insisted that most should be PPP.. , essentially, whosoever dares to build in the east will go and recover his or her money by tolling the roads. It is still one Nigeria, right? |
sarrki:The real enemies of Imo state are those partisan harks who live in far away lands, who haven't been to imo state.., haven't even crossed Ore but will applaud every action taken by the government of imo state whether good or bad simply because of their desperate narrow minded attempt to show solidarity to a fellow party man. |
lovat:That guy is the most naive talkative i have ever read in my life... |
Propaganda goes overboard.. It is the media and their mind games.. You now have to start wondering if there was another reason for his removal.. He has to leave all those "evidence" for una to use and nail him when he is gone, abi? Kwqantinu.. |
StOla:lol, this guy, what are you yapping about? Ahbegi, swerve make i get some fresh air... I was just trying to nodge you away from here since you are fouling the air with your uncouth outbursts. It is a fresh morning here and i am getting set for work. I don't need an ewedu smelling upstart regurgitating all kinds of putrid zombie lines around me. |
Imo airline or made in imo plane This is the way he wastes money., unnecessary ballooning of the overhead costs. Where is the fourth tier government nonsense? When he was told that the idea was unsustainable, he stubbornly went ahead with it. Now he cant even pay salaries of the 2nd tiers. |
StOla:Why are you barking upandan? Are you quarreling with your wife or somethings? I haven't seen anything on this thread yet that will provoke you this much. Go out outside and get some fresh air.. |
Okorocha has lost the plot and it is very saddening. Since the APC win, he has gone AWOL and more or else started acting like he doesn't care. Many provocative acts, many rash decisions. It will backfire. Imo people take time to fight back .., but they always fight back. |
The guy you quoted has "Jonathan" as one of his names, so you must be IPOB ![]() |
cheruv:They have gone to sleep. just contractors.. |
Nobody will be arrested.., Nobody will be prosecuted and nobody will be jailed for this crime! That one you are VERY SURE of. Yet it is the heavenly government of saint Buhari. Elrufai is on his way to Niamey via Zinder to pay them to stop killing.. How many people have been killed by these people since their leader came to power? How many of them have been jailed? How many people have been killed by the IPOB people? How many of them IPOBS have been killed? It is not the separatists in this country that will destroy her.., this country will crash under the heavy weight of the enormous injustices and evil leadership that bedevil her.. |
