Spoilt and Tayo you can disagree with me as much as you want. I did not respond to you because of that. So I will still say follow the trend of the discussion. ADHD for adults, anyway its no sane doctor would prescribe Prozac to little children. I guess this is your way of showing you are intelligent. read up my friends. lastly I have typos, I did not think I was writting an essay for a test and you know better. lazy, immature, silly "AND" ignorant. two embodiments of it are tayo and the apply named spoilt.

Showbobo, see the level you had to sink to in order to express yourself properly, calling me a bitch? And you wonder why I think I have a better and bigger brain than yours? If I felt you were worth more than two grains of salt, I will asail your credibility and intellect right here. But you are unfortunately not worth, the effort it takes to type more than I am doing now. GROW UP.

Hynman,

In the first place you were the one who responded to my comment not I you so you are derailing your own thread. or you have a short attention span. they call it ADHD, if you still cant follow there are drugs for it.

No one said there is a perfect society. But other western countries which we believe we are better than with all their faults and flaws, have still managed to have simple clean public toilets in malls and train stations. do we have that in Nigeria even in public schools? even in public PRIMARY schools

I was referring to the rampant greed and corruption. but you want to cover it up. if you were american, I would suspect you vote on the republican side. okay I know there are hardworking Nigerians. God Bless their hearts, there is always a light at the end of any tunnel. anyway. You know my point. You are just to aggressive to accept it.

But maybe I should'nt have compared Nigeria to a toilet, but I wonder why all these other rich nations keep dumping their used clothes, their in-effective medecines, THEIR BAD MEDECINES, their cheap electronics etc in Nigeria?? hmmmm

Tayo Uk
Please follow the trend of the discourse. I need not say more than that to You

Dis-Guy,
I am not even a muslim. I just know stuff. its called studying. You usually have to open books and read words to achieve that. But that beeing said, You also need to follow the trend of the discussion. What have my bank account having interest got to do with what we said previously? obviously you are lazy. # two; In America there are two types of bank accounts, which one are you talking about? number three, follow the trend of the discourse.

am I relating with babies here. gosh I need to find myself a different post to comment on. such imbe, gosh let me just leave before I finish some people over here

NA2DAY,

the point is, if you dont want to be a fugitive for the rest of your life, give your wife allowance. but i bet you arent married. its not possible for a married man to even be thinking like you are.
Properties / Re: Why Are Nigerians Not Morgage Friendly? by Owugal(f): 4:23pm On Jun 09, 2009
@SPOILT

You said "Lets not conclude that mortagages cause depression. One thing I know is that the poor (who cant afford to have mortgages ) do not have healthcare coverage and therefore are not available for your depression studies. Trust me they are depressed too"

Honey, I study people of ALL income levels. I have a population sample of over 30 million people, trust me, I know what I was saying. You dont, so dont assume you know what I am saying. OK? good. You are apparently too spoilt to know better. I am sure you are a teenager, dont you have homework?

@ DIS GUY

Sweetie either you are not a muslim who has read a Quran, you are not a muslim at all, or you dont know the meaning of USURY. so therefore I will enlighten you. So that I do not enable you in laziness, check the dictionary for USURY. use google.

Now,# two check what it says here in the quran Al-Baqarah 2:275. After you have done that, come to this board and repeat what you said before. I bet you wont be able to. so ,

SHOWBOBO,

I have a bigger brain than you. I am most certain of that, seeing as you had to resort to insults in order to express yourself. In My experience, the more of an empty barrel the person is, the more aggressive. I am looking at you.

But the point is I am not dissing Nigeria. I lived in Nigeria before I started living here and nothing worked. Should we speak about lagos? when was the last times those of you who dont live in Victoria garden city etc, had light that was not generated by your private generator?

You send a car to Nigeria and you are missing doors, tires and all the things inside the car before you even claim the car. You claim the car and robbers will be tailing you to take the already skeleton of a car from you.

The police is just a PC way of referring to Legally authorized state banditry or armed robbery. The polititcians are all drug lords who use assassins to off their opponents yet they are the biggest contributors to churches and mosques.

How dare you insult me Show Bobo, I look at Nigeria and see a country so weretched that I can not even think of it as the world's toilet, because that would be an insult to toilets.

The only thing I have hope in, is in the people. even as corrupt as many Nigerians are. I still hope People will change.
dont dare insult my intelligence again.

When I was in Secondary school My parents sent me a birthday card from abroad and I didnt receive it for a year and a half.

I know Nigeria and nothing works.

SEXY logan,

that is the worse advice you can give anyone. to always look out for flaws, like you dont have any. why dont you whip out the lie detector while you are at it? it will help to save a lot of time.

Have you heard the saying "wa pe nibe" it means you will be waiting a while. You get to know people through courtship. their flaws will reveal themselves eventually. I have flaws, but my husband still loves me. He has flaws too and I still love him. I saw his flaws before I married him and loved him inspite of them.

Yes one needs to be careful, but Mother Theresa is dead and Jesus is not trying to physically marry any woman right now, so we all imperfect.

@ HYNMAN, who said "What did you think they use ? Smoke signal?
See this one"

Sincerely, I didnt even think Nigeria was sophisticated enough for even smoke signal. I thought they just prayed that they could deliver the mail. or simply hoped for the person they wanted to deliver the message to just show up for a chance visit.

When I was in Nigeria, I did not think anything worked except armed robbery. though I never tried to practice the means.

Romance / Re: I"ve learnt, lol! by Owugal(f): 6:02pm On Jun 08, 2009
I have no real idea how to help you. but from what I have heard people say. Stop looking and the right one will come to you. thats how I married my husband. I just stopped thinking of going to church to find a man. I stopped using force to step outside the house and go to parties in hopes of finding one. I became myself and I dont like going to parties. My husband was brought to me. My car broke down in the middle of a town I did not even know and he helped me.

The church we married in is even adjacent to the place we first met. Stop looking. and also I heard somewhere that if you find yourself always complaining that everyone around you is a jerk, maybe you need to look in the mirror and you will see the real jerk. but I am not calling you any names because the guys you have described are every woman's nightmare.

But nkan ti mo fe ki o fa yo ni be ni wipe,, change your lifestyle. stop going to the same places you used to. go to a different market to buy your eggs. etc your man may come.
Properties / Re: Why Are Nigerians Not Morgage Friendly? by Owugal(f): 5:51pm On Jun 08, 2009
I do research work on health etc. Most of the people interviewed suffer from depression. Most also have mortgages. Please deduce.
Mortgage is not bad. But if American mortgage with 4% interest rate is enough to make a perosn die from heart attack, then How about Nigeria's own with 25% interest rate. If you are a muslim, you should not even be asking about mortgage because I know for a fact that the Quran warns all muslims that Usury ( interest rates) is one of the greatest sins. In medieval Europe, Usury was outlawed, but because they wanted to make profit they re-interpreted Usury to be excessive interest rate. Usury is Usury. Interest is not bad per se until you loose your job I guess, but I just dont understand. The first house I bought, at closing I realized that if I paid my mortgage every month for the next 30 years. I Woould have paid over 250,000dollars in interests. Gosh, if you dont need it, dont get it.

Events / Re: Is N75,000 Not Too Much For A Wedding Gown? by Owugal(f): 4:54pm On Jun 08, 2009
Ice- Angel,

Be a little more considerate when you give people advice. A wedding dress does not the happiest day of your life make. She will have another happiest day, the day she has her first child. and she will probably be wearing a blood stained hospital gown if not just a tattered night gown, to meet someone just coming to this earth. Ice-angel are you married? do you have kids? I went to a lady's wedding sometime ago, Her dress was a Vera Wang that means nothing less than 5,000 dollars. she said she invited 500 people. at the reception there were less than 50 people there and so many empty seats and tables. Do you think if she knew, she wouldnt have worn a borrowed dress just to have people celebrate with her.

Dont give people quixotic advice like that. . there is a reason America is in its worst recession since the great depression,, people spent more money than they had/could afford. you dont want to spend so much money on a wedding dress and you and your husband begin to fight over money during your honeymoon.

Wives cheat too. and it drives husbands to kill them, if you like dont give your wife allowance and then go and cheat on top of it all. You will be enjoying yourself in prison for attempted murder.

it depends on your pocket, but now after getting married, I wish I had enough common sense to have bought a cheaper dress. Mine cost over 1500 dollars and I know people who bought 5000dollar dresses. the reason being that I have never really seen a bride who looked better than another. I think women should consider borrowing dresses. but I know no one will listen to me as far as borrowing. the best way to look beautiful on your wedding day is by preventing yourself from having someone bad do your make-up. have a nice hairstyle and you dont even have to wear expensive shoes, just buy nice white or silver ones or even black ones. One of the best bridal looks i ever saw was when the bride wore navy blue shoes. If I could redo my wedding the only thing I would spend more than 500 dollars on would be the reception hall. the wedding bussiness thing in america felt like a scam after I married. cos I felt I spent so much money on things that I neednt have.

Here goes,
I ate Oranges dipped in soup
maccaroni mixed in thickened baby formula (this is nasty)
Goat meat and lucky charms
cake and fufu with no stew
Puff Puff dipped in palm oil stew.
Fish wrapped in pancake
Cheerios and soy sauce

I ate most of it when I was pregnant and yesterday I ate the oranges in soup because my son wanted to eat that
Family / Re: Is Marriage A Contract Or Covenant by Owugal(f): 9:56pm On Jun 05, 2009
Both.

Marriage is a contract and covenant. by the way the two words can be used interchangeably. When you contract out a job, you are giving the person your word/covenanting with the person that they will be the ones doing it. breaking the contract can be difficult. breaking the marriage contract can be difficult unless you are Donald trump. but seeing as no one but donald trump is donald trump, lets assume its a binding covenant
Family / Re: Guys Would Like Ur Wife To Be Tattooed. by Owugal(f): 9:45pm On Jun 05, 2009
This question has a lot to do with personal preference. It depends on if the guy likes tatoos or not and on if the lady is someone he would consider marry without the tattoos. In my shallow experience, a lot of the ladies I have met who have tatoos and are african, are the kind of women you really dont want to marry. they can be like those inner ghetto akata even worse. almost all the guys on campus have "dated" them. but maybe there are some ladies who have it as a remnant of the past or who got it, just cos they have a friend who they felt they were really close to and wanted to remember  forever.

The truth is, I personally wont consider marrying a tatooed guy (considering the biggest barrier being that I am already happily married) but for real, has anyone ever seen a Naija guy with tatooes, who looked decent with family values, didnt smoke, sleep around etc,
eh hen. sooo sometimes, people wear their tendencies on their arms or BUTTS in order cases.

Family / Re: How Can I Change My Husbands Corrupt Mind! by Owugal(f): 9:23pm On Jun 05, 2009
Gosh you are in the kind of problem I hope to never find myself. The recession hit my husband and I really hard too. I cant tell you how many times I considered Divorce. My husband is self employed, and bussiness has been bad. matter of fact he has closed the bussiness now.

But he is pretty determined. and like your husband bussiness oriented. If your husband is so desperate, why not start up another legitimate bussiness like my husband. we are going to be shipping cars and stuff to Africa and are going to open a spare parts auto mall kind of deal in different african countries. My uncles and Dad are in full support and even giving him capital. I suggest you let your husband know he has other avenues.

The emotional blackmail thing will work too, employ that alongside. also stop telling people you are WHITE. its annoying.

DO this everyday until you wear him down. make sure you tell him when he wakes up and before he goes to bed. and perhaps grumble about it when you wake up at night too.

Make it a constant subject and dont give up.persistence will pay off and work off any determination to commit crime.

You also need to let him know how much you love him. tell him you are afraid of loosing him

But as insurance, you will need to write down what he is about to do and keep it somewhere in the house and then let your husband know you have plans on blabbing to his family and pastor. ( You can also get life insurance on his head)

You will need a lot of hope that this works. I hope it works for you. I dont believe too much in prayer but I believe in Hope, and prayer is a show of hope,so pray if you have to. hope constantly. You need this spiritual part because it works.

Also I want you to tell your husband that I personally have plans to expose you and him as fraudsters. I intend to alert the FBI in about 24 hours. so let him know this so that he can know that someone is watching him.

I know this is dangerous for me as I dont want your husband to panic and send killers to my house, so I will also tell my husband and all my family that I threatened to expose someone online who can trace me if they wanted to and that they have intentions to. I will also call the police in my area and report you and your husband because I dont want to die.

why dont you send me a private message. I have something to tell you
Family / Re: Should A Housewife Demand An Allowance? by Owugal(f): 8:26pm On Jun 05, 2009
MICHELLIN89, you cant be married and have ever said that. SO you are therefore single.
Yes ohh. a housewife should be given an allowance apart from the cost of domestic upkeep. I think any man who isnt doing it yet cant say he is happy with his life. I am married and my husband really 'enjoyed' himself last year when he forgot to buy my birthday present. He 'enjoyed' himself even more this year when he forgot to take me out on valentines day. He will keep 'enjoying' himself when he forgets dates like those previously mentioned untill he gets old. So any married man who wants to "enjoy" himself like my husband should experiment by not giving his stay at home wife an allowance.
Family / Re: Why Do Most Nigerian Men Treat Their Wives Like Maids? by Owugal(f): 8:17pm On Jun 05, 2009
CHUCK BA$$,

By your rationalle,

Your mother was a maid. (assuming she married your father)

Your father's mother was a maid

Your Daughters will be full-time maids one day because right now they are training to be maids until they marry their boss

You are a maid service provider or potential one because you will have daughters one day perhaps

Any girlfriend you have who is of marriageable age and not yet a wife, is a prostitute because she is not living up to her real ambitions as a maid

You are therefore a love-vendor because you are using this woman, not as your maid as you should, but as someone who provides "services" to you without marriage and payment.

I hope your father paid his maid well,

I hope your sisters are well paid maids

I hope your daughter will be well paid too

I hope you will pay your future maid well

I hope you earn enough money to even "hire" a "maid"

I hope a "maid" somewhere will even consider you as an employer

I hope the rest of the maids in your father's household threat and are threating you well

I hope the "Double U"-H- O - R-E you are dating now, will open her eyes and leave you to become a legitimate maid

VIVA TO MAIDS, Because without MAIDS, people like Chuck Bass would never have seen the light of day after he was dumped by the roadside by the original maid who bore him.

Boss's like you make me sick

I believe deep in my heart that I know this guy. I think I have dated him before. and he used to say the same exact thing" sebi you are my wife". He used to tell me how much he did not mind being a house husband. Gosh. Girl, leave him ooooh. for your own good, so you can move on and find a man that is worthy of you. (unless you are uselessooo, but I doubt that). It has been many years now since I dumped his broke self, but I still think of him and begin to mutter curses. its only because of him that I ever wished I was a witch or could do juju so as to harm him. wo, leave him.

its probably true. I am not rapata, but I have some meat on my person and before I married, all these skinny guys found me attractive. It was funny cos I never liked anyone of them. My husband was not skinny thank goodness.
has anyone ever though that what kind of men do women like when they are hungry? Me myself I always liked big men, not fat, just tall and muscular. hunger never changed the fact for me

I started eating Fufu because of my husband. before I met him, I had only eaten fufu twice in my over 25 years of existence and I hated it. I didnt hate it totaly, It was palatable because of the soup. I try to avoid eating it now and whenever I have made it for him and he wants me to eat with him, I tell him, I am no longer hungry. I have tried weird foods in the name of love though.
