TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by Oyeyemidesign: 1:23pm On Apr 10, 2022
Hello guys, please can I use a domiciliary (dollar) account for Proof of funds?
TravelRe: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Oyeyemidesign: 10:53am On Mar 15, 2022
Hello room
Please I need your opinion: I studied History in my undergrad (graduated last year)and ever since I graduated I’ve been working as a web developer cos I have IT skills and I plan on getting a masters degree in IT field but cos I’ve been denied a U.S visa couple times (not sure if the career change was the reason) I’m thinking of applying to International Relation and changing my program to IT when I get to Australia.

Here are my questions
1- Do you think not being consistent with my program would affect my visa success rate at Australia embassy? (I heard it’s possible for them to go through my U.S visa application and since I applied to computer science with the U.S )
2- Would you advise I add my IT experience to my visa application even though I’m going for International relations or I shouldn’t
3- which one is better, applying to something related to my undergrad degree or what I currently do (the IT job is with a start up company I co-founded and it’s doing fine).

I’d be happy to hear from you guys

If I deferred my admission to Fall 2022 , can I still be interviewed in January 24,2022. I'm would go to Embassy with my Deferment letter cause it takes my school some months before issuing new i-20 to students .
You can only apply for visa when it’s 120 days to your program start date. For Fall you can only go to embassy for interview from April/May

God doesn’t do Visa miracles. Its the same stupid Nigerians like this that believes God can send Visa to your church under your Pastor’s shoes…

Again, God doesn’t do Visa miracles. If it’s a miracle, you shouldn’t even apply in the first place, you should not even visit the embassy. Your miracles should bring it to your room under your bed since it’s your time for the miracles.
Mr Man is better you caution yourself when it comes to God, either you believe or not. God is a miracle working God, talking about your visa you got under your Pastor’s shoe, that’s a magic and yes if you want miracle sometimes you need to prepare for it, Bartimaeus (The blind) wouldn’t have received his miracle if he didn’t try to call Jesus name to notice him admist the crowd . God work miracles not magic, maybe when you have an encounter with God then you would believe. Till then please don’t say nonsense anymore ✌

Sure... how is that "victory" coming along in the hell hole you live in where you have to grovel for a visa? Ridiculous.
Mr man I don’t care what you believe in and I don’t know if you’re an atheist or something. But picturing someone else’s faith as ‘pet peeves’ shows how disrespectful you can be. I’m not surprised tho, going through your post mehn and seeing how you have been moving from one travel thread to another just troll people shows how jobless people can be. As for the ‘hell hole you live in’, well no much talk on that, I’m too mature for that.

Congrats on getting your visa. However you committed a few of my pet peeves…

1. Obtaining a visa is not “God in action”. It’s simply satisfying visa requirements.

2. What you “noticed” has been standard practice for decades. Nothing new.
Lol this guy no know anything. Only God can give you victory my people, no mind this one

Stay confident and pray you don't meet the Dude. All the best to those having their interviews. Also, if you can help with next steps, that will be very great. Thanks
Sorry about that. I don’t know why Abuja consulate is like this recently, it wasn’t like that during Fall semester. This is your first time, please reapply. I pray God will favor us all

Good day everyone, I'm a new member here,I had my interview on the 27th of July this year but got denied.
I want to reapply, I filled a new Ds-160 and they asked if I have been refused and to state the reason why..
What do you all think about my response?
Just say that you were refused under 214b, no need to write the reason why you think the VO refused you cos you don’t know the comment the first VO left

I got approved today 9th November.
Abuja Embassy
First Attempt, no travel history.
School: Georgia State University
Course: French Studies
Funding:$36,140 (full tuition waiver + GTA)
Deficit: $15, 603.

V.O : Good morning.
Me: Good morning.
V.O: I see you're to Georgia State University to study French Language.
Me: Yes.
V.O: And I see you have a Graduate assistanship?
Me: Yes.
V.O: You have a deficit. Who's going to pay for it?
Me: My uncle. He is a pharmacist.
V.O: What will this course do for you?
Me: I will come back to my organisation (mentioned it) where I will seek to move to the Academy being built by ECOWAS to lecture. I was a French Facilitator at one of our training schools before being deployed to Abuja. (I can't remember if I said all this or it was in my head, but I already planned on saying it. So, I guess it came out fine).
V.O: So, you're saying that you will come to work with ECOWAS Academy, right?
Me: No. Migration Academy being built by ECOWAS.
V.O: Okay.
She typed for a while, maybe 30 seconds and then reached out for the white paper.
V.O: shd7dunxokjyyfghjj I-20 hdieijks safe js7eiejnznsj Corona virus djdururjzozxxbbt. I didn't hear anything except these few words. I was just nodding and smiling.

All praise to God because the sequence of questions were not followed, she was answering the questions she was supposed to ask me. Questions like why the US and not France I was expecting was not asked. I give God all the praise. I've been on this journey since last year. I got this admission for Summer 2021 but deferred to Spring 2022. I'm so glad to have a Graduate Coordinator who is understanding. She assured me my funding will be intact and that I can defer.
Thanks to you all that has been helping with tips, encouragement and transcripts. God bless you all.
If you believe in God, hold him tight, tell him what you want and stand on it. I nearly lost faith with all the denials here but I started speaking scriptures to myself. God is good don't put him aside. God bless you all.
Congratulations. The God that did yours will do it for us too. I’m happy for you

Visa Refused yesterday
Abuja Embassy @8:45am
COA 32,000
Fund: myself and my elder bro

VO: God morning pass me your documents
Me: Good morning

Vo: have you traveled before?
Me: Yeah to Cameron for a visit.

Okay place your fingers, I did my thumbprint

Vo: who is sponsoring you
Me: Myself and my elder bro

Vo: what does he do
Me: He is a business man, dealing on car and car accessories.... then he cuts in
Vo: Car dealer
Me: Yes, he brings in cars from Germany and US and also an interior decoration, he imports furniture from China.

Vo: Looks at my Sevis fee, Do you have a relation in US
ME: delays small, cos the question cut me off guard.... Yes, I have a step sis in Texas ( My sis address was on my Sevis fee because he is the one that made the payment) ( meanwhile we don't answer same surname and she is married also, answering a different surname again, I don't know if I should remove her name if I am filling another DS160. Why I included her is because when I filled Canada, I included her name in the family form) heard they share the same database

He started typing.. next you are not qualified for this visa, try again
It was the Korea guy that interviewed me.

The interview didn't even take up to 2mins, nothing was asked again
My company I work with gave me a salary loan of two years, that I will come back and work with them to offset the loan after my studies. I couldn't even present the letter. I am an assistant HOD where I work.

Please what do I do next
I want to pay for another Visa fee, scheduled for another date, to know if I will get a closer date or eventually request for EA again.
The Korean guy hmmm. Have only read one approval from him on this platform. What’s the relationship between f1 and travel history, assuming is b1/b2 now I would say he wants to know if you explored other countries and returned in the past. I pray you get it on your next try no matter the VO and us that are having our interview soon I pray God’s mercy locate us in Jesus name

The DS160 information I filled before canceling the appointment is different from what I’d use now…will the VO have access to the previous information?
N.B I didn’t go for the interview and I canceled like 8days before my appointment.
Please I need clarifications.
Thanks
No problem atall, the VO will only have access to the ds160 linked to your current appointment.

My question is that, when a visa is refused for spring 2022
and interview took up September 2021. When is the best time
to reapply? do i have to wait 6months or 2months before
reapplying and is it possible to reapply for spring 2022?

Thank you all
You can reapply anytime. If you get a date before the start of your program then you’re good to go

Does any of you have any idea how much it could cost to run an MSc program in say Pharmaceutical field in the US? I just need a range of amount to save for.

Thanks.
Nobody. It depends on the college. You need to do your research, use google, use websites like 4icu.org to search for schools

Please i just got admitted to Houston Community college for spring 2022 and have received my ds 1-60. But on getting to the website of the embassy to book visa appointment. There is a message that says applications are currently unavailable except emergencies. Please who can explain better for me. And is there any way around it.
Thanks
It means no available date. You have to be checking everyday. You can only request emergency if you are within 60 days to your resumption

Hello gurus in the house…so I applied for interview before now I.e sometimes in July but I found out July 20th was ileya day so I had to reschedule, wrote the embassy and it was rescheduled to 3rd of June…some weeks to the D-day,I received a mail that indicates it’s been shifted to 15th of June. Apparently, all interviews stipulated for 3rd was moved to 15th of June but I had to cancel still due to 1/2 reasons.
Now to the reason why I’m here, I got another visa fee since that one can’t be used (you can only use visa fee twice) but my appointment history on my CGI shows that I’ve canceled appointments 3 times
N.B I never went for any interview
1) Does it matter or I need to prepare to answer the questions on why I didn’t come for the interview?

2) The earliest dates I’ve seen for an interview in Abuja is June 1st and Lagos, August 25th…my school resumes classes January 6th. Do I pick any of these dates and wait for 60 days to resumption then get an expedited date?
Please don’t ignore
I’m open to every information I can get
Thanks in anticipation
For your first question: No it doesn’t matter how many times you have cancelled or rescheduled.

2. Yes, choose the available date and request expedited date as you need a regular date before you can schedule an expedited date

You’ve just rolled out an epistle full of foolishness.
What’s this platform for again, you people want to hear things that’ll feed on your emotions. I’m not responsible for how you feel. That’s your business and your priority. And that’s the problem with Nigerians, you want people to sugar coat things for you. The truth bites you all and you this tantrums when your ego isn’t being massaged.
Would you rather advise someone to go for community college when you know that these consulate can be biased with their judgement.
Why do people advise applicants to go for courses related to what they’ve studied or related to their job, why can’t they say, apply for whatever course you want. I say to you again, getting a visa approval for Assiciate degree is 1% possible. Even though people have different experiences snd profiles. That’s a fact you can’t swallow and I can’t sugar coat for you dude. Another consular won’t even give her a chance to defend her choice, OR YOU DO NOT KNOW? Get over your feelings. I don’t care.

AND CONGRATULATIONS ON CHECKING OUT MY PROFILE, you can F yourself for all I care, as for my experience, come to my house for the deets lolll. And again, GET LOST.
Bro you need to rest. You can’t just write people off or discourage people going for Associate Degree that they have very low chances of getting the visa. Most Community Colleges partners with universities which you will easily transferred to. I used to think students that go to Community colleges have low chances of getting the visa but after joining this forum, I realized that was African mentality and because we don’t have much people here going for such degree doesn’t mean people don’t go for it or they don’t the visa.

Have read so many transcripts on this forum and I can tell you that is not just your profile that matters to the VO but your Story and your God. Have seen people going for phD (full funding) and even good transcripts but still get delayed also on this forum have seen someone going for a course that doesn’t relate with what they studied in their bachelors but still got the visa. Everybody has different story and I don’t think your focus should be who get or not. Just wish people well, and they will congratulate you too. Anybody, any profile can get you a visa.

grin grin that Twoods guy?.

I almost committed suicide in 2018 when this dude quoted me and said "you are failure, just forget about American dream and re-enroll afresh in a Nigerian University to get a better grade", "what were you doing when your mates were making 2.1 and first class".

As God will have it, walspring came to my rescue for TOEFL and GRE 50% discount as well as sevis payment. Fairheart came through for mocks. He was calling me with his credit days to my interview. Lagosismyhome came through for motivation and mentorship.
To the glory of God and shame of Twoods, I will be graduating next week Friday July 30. With an estimated cgpa of 3.7/4.0.

Also got several honors including Beta Gamma Sigma which is the highest honor any business student can receive in the whole world.

Your few posts on NAIRALAND has only been to troll and to make some jokes on Fairheart. You need to focus more on your life, and develop yourself so that you won’t have any reason to troll people that are ahead of you. I will be justified if I say that you are hiding under a troll account and do not want to reveal your self with your real account. You should get a life bro.

To prexy1999, if your PhD specialization requires common sense, you should know that Fairheart has been on this thread for over a decade. Ofcourse you are still very new to NAIRALAND and the thread. If not you won’t be asking Fairheart where he is studying in 2021 just as you won’t be asking Lagosismyhome, walspring, or twoods where they are studying in American.

Only a dingbat will not know that twoods criticism comes from a place of envy, Schadenfreude, and some egotistic pride. The same man who said that someone can never study or go to the US. The same person who derive joy from other people’s failure but he (twood) himself is in the Us married to a white woman(not lady) for the paper and claiming the saint moses or saint Banabas. Anyway, only new people on this thread will take him serious.

Back to your unfortunate queries about Fairheart. You can signify yourself if Fairheart has requested a fee from you for the basic help he has rendered for you. He has been on this thread for years helping people both online and offline but you think it’s a problem for him to open a study abroad consultancy even though majority of his students are not from this thread?

America is a relatively simple place to navigate, students also have their program assistants and ISO to help them with issues like transportation, housing, on- or off-campus jobs, visa issues, etc. I think we should encourage students here to take advantage of those resources. They are there to help them. Asking students to "please mention me here" is ridiculous. What "little" can you do for them when you are not a citizen yourself, obviously for a fee?
