having a strong league is totally different from having a lucrative league. The English FA have always had a better marketting ability than other leagues. Even as at the time the italian league had a stronger league, the Premiership still had a better financial standing than them. u are getting it totally wrong. Monaco became an attractive destination to many big name players when Monaco had the money. PSG took over from Monaco when the money came. Mancity also became a centre of attraction when unlimited owner's finances started flowing. We can't also forget how chelsea became a big name in football.

it seems u don't know the meaning of the word "afford". Whenever u use the word "afford" in such a situation u used it in your statement, it is only in financial terms, it has nothing to do with whether a club plays in the champions' league or europa league. Also, NO league in the world is more lucrative than the English premiership. It may have a lesser quality of play than maybe the La liga, but when it comes to financial power, it dwarfs every other league in the world.

It is your statement that "only mancity can afford him" that I was countering. Others clubs can also afford him. Messi at his age won't be more than 300 million pounds, he may not even be up to it despite his talents. Just that other clubs will prefer to use such money to buy several players instead of putting it on a single player like Messi.

Mancity cannot afford Messi. If u separate Mancity's finances from the owner's finances, mancity won't be able to afford any big players.

this isn't hatred as u make it to look. Sharia laws are being preached in most northern states especially sokoto, the place of the sultan. They lay more empasis on sharia laws even more than the Nigerian constitution. Why didn't sharia laws catch up with these people? Our govt can end this bokoharam issue within one month if they want to but unfortunately, it is a money making business. Only the low ranked security personnels are the losers. Up to now, no sponsor of bokoharam has been caught. The govt keeps releasing captured bokoharam members without keeping track of them after release, all in the name of "they have been deradicalised". The govt keeps on paying ransom to terrorists to free victims. These actions keeps empowering the terrorist group.

Also, how can somebody already "convicted by the law" according to OP, still be standing trial? It would have been more appropriate to say " she was already standing trial" or "facing the law" instead of that statement above. Thanks

We are always our own enemies in this country. There are top govt/customs officials benefitting from this and that is why they look aside and do nothing about any evil being committed against this country.
