Telephone was supposed to be a public utility as at when David Mark made that statement. The issue here is how a mÀn decides to run his private bÙsiness. I see no hypocrisy here though Ben Bruce is more of a Twitter Senator than Senator of FRN.

there is no where in the world where telephone is purely public utility. Infact public telephones are even cheaper than private lines and it grant access to almost everybody! That's why some people will even prefer making calls on public phones to private ones! It isn't an excuse.

Murray Bruce would have made the same statement made by that former minister who said "telephone wasn't for the poor". I can't point any acheivement he made when he was DG of NTA for many years. I always smell hypocrisy in his speeches.
