Having less rest is not an issue here.
Remember Liverpool has less competing opponents to deal with on their road to taking the EPL.

And Gurgen Klop sure knows how well to manage his army.
Barca may be good at their tiki taka game, but Liverpool swashbuckling style will kill them off in no time when M. Salah, S. Mane, R. Firmino gets the needed supply from their midfield.
And it is good they are going to camp Nou for the first leg.
If Barca fail to get it right there in their backyard , believe me, they will be roundly beating by Liverpool when they set their foot on Anfield.

It's is Liverpool's to lose.
Manchester United fans made similar boasts weeks ago, before they were slaughtered. You EPL fans and noise. Even the ones that haven't won any title in a decade.

This season you lost to all 3 teams in your group including an unknown Redstar. You also bottled a 9 point lead in the EPL. Were your 'swashbuckling' front 3 sleeping all those times?

When you crumble before Barca, you guys would look for one of your players to blame as usual.

It's unlikely that picture is accurate. It's not a great attempt at recreating the supposed accident-because-of-shorts story.

He has never done it to LFC, even Ronaldinho couldnt
Remember when they used to say Messi has never scored against Chelsea? Do you also remember them saying he can't score Buffon and Enyeama?

If you watch La Liga, you'd probably hear of the Anoeta curse - Barca had not won away to Real Sociedad for years.

Maybe you heard the one about never having won at Old Trafford.

Or perhaps how Real Madrid has always won more games h2h.

Even the one about Messi being unable to score in the quarterfinal.

All those claims sound stupid now and rightly so; they have been rendered invalid. That is what Messi and Barca enjoy doing the most, breaking curses and rewriting history.

Oga is this Barca team better than the one that had Ronaldinho, Deco then? If liverpool beat them what makes this time impossible. You forget that true Messi can score but Ronaldinho had everything
Man Utd also beat Barca (in 2008 the next year) after Liverpool did. Go find out if they have been able to do it again.

Liverpool seemed to be all conquering last season until they met a Spanish side in the final and buckled under the weight of their own hype.

Liverpool is a good team but Barcelona is better. Also Barcelona players would get more rest ahead of the games as they are well ahead in La Liga.

But then nothing is impossible in football.

D match is one d 1st of May, and of course, its Barca vs Liverpool @Camp nou.. Juxtaposing both teams in d following
(1) number of goals scored so far... Its Barca
(2) highest goal scorer.. Messi (barca)
(3) number of losses in all categories of games.. It's equal because both teams Av lost 4 games in a roll
(4) team with greater pedigree according to history...its Liverpool
(5) team dat plays well away...liverpool
however, its an open game.. Liverpool can win and Barca can.. But I guess history might repeat itself...YNWA#
3) neither has lost 4 in a row.

Barcelona has lost 4 games in all major competitions - 2 in Laliga and 2 in Copa del Rey. All 4 times, they did some squad rotation

Liverpool has lost at least 6 times this season in all competitions - Chelsea, Napoli, PSG, Redstar, City, Wolves. Half of it has come in Europe, while Barcelona is unbeaten in Europe.

Barca would be fresh for Liverpool as they are leading La Liga with 9 points. They can afford to rest players. Liverpool has no such luxury as they are chasing EPL with City that is no longer distracted by UCL.

Face it, you guys would likely go trophyless. You won't get past Barca and City might not drop points.

Hello, that 2b... Which app are you talking about that can help one save without touching it??
Piggybank and Cowrywise are two of the most popular. Alat (by Wema) also has a customizable saving/stash feature.

I really wish we'd test ourselves against Juventus.
Liverpool is by far a tougher test than Juve. Liverpool has a fluid attack, has more than one player that can hurt you and aren't a 'cross-into-the-box-and-hope' team.

I'd very much have preferred to face Juve than Liverpool. But it is what it is, let's win that title one match at a time. Just 3 more games left.

These are the teams i wanted to avoid in order;

Juventus.
Man City.
Liverpool.

Good, the top two are out.
Similar to mine, City and Liverpool. Was disappointed when Liverpool drew Porto (easy passage) but was glad it wasn't us. No Juve on my list though. I don't really rate cross and nod teams.

That question is perfect for you. Got any pointers from supporting opposing teams for three straight seasons?

Simply because you guys were given Lyon and Manchester United, you're foaming in the mouth... We'd see how you guys would play against Salah/Mane/Firmino!

Moreover I'm rooting for Tottenham against Ajax.

-Lord
nobody cares who you're rooting for in the other semi tie that doesn't include Barca. In the final you would be forced to root for Ajax against Barca.

Lyon and Man Utd aren't small teams. City couldn't beat Lyon and Man Utd knocked out PSG.

Of the 4 teams left, only Liverpool had an easy path to the semis. However the road ends here for them, as Barca is a team on a mission this season. If City doesn't mess up in the EPL, liverpool is going trophyless again.

Nice SF draws. Already compiling troll data and waiting for the #ValverdeOut movement to resume because we all know you guys are just managing him. Funny team was hoping for Porto.

-Lord
that's how you'd wait and wait (becoming a Liverpool fan and then an Ajax fan) until we lift the UCL. Next you'd run to Copa America and start supporting anyone playing against Argentina all the way to the final.

Don't you get tired of being the one who never wins anything and so spend a large chunk of his life hoping others become like him?

Man city really wanted to score goals. There was no other way Man City could have done it. Ugly or beautiful way.

So your argument about Pep always wanting to win in silky-beautiful way doesn't particularly hold water, as regards tonight's match.
wanting to score doesn't make your football less beautiful. I'm talking about being a rigidly possession based attacking side taking pride in outscoring the opponent.

They defend by holding on to the ball and are prone to losing the ball in dangerous places when they play quick attacking teams. How many other teams do you see scoring so much and conceding so much at the same time? They once played 6 - 6 with Monaco years back.

Believe me, Spurs aren't as spectacular as they looked. City simply were vulnerable at the back as usual.

even own goal, I go accept. Who cares about beautiful football, anybody I hear beautiful football from Thunder!! Imagine Man city with all their rubbish beautiful football, Tottenham has eliminated them
hehehe... Exactly what I was telling someone. Pep's biggest strength is also his weakness. He's a perfectionist that believes football should be played in a certain way - silky and beautiful. Sadly, sometimes you either win ugly or lose.

Next scene and act in my script is for City to drop points against Tottenham this weekend. Liverpool to win.

I very much doubt the dropping points part. City would rather die in that game.

Ajax go fit handle Spurs based on wetin I see today.....For Liverpool...one more tango for Messi.
it's not that easy. I see a tough semi final tie with Liverpool. Somehow my mind keeps reminding me of 2009 and Chelsea in the semis. It might not be Messi that would make the difference. Might be a Rakitic or Dembele or even Pique.

Whatever the case, I just want us to go through and win this thing.

In other news, the two teams that qualified from our group made the semis cool

don't be so sure. That's how you guys were saying Juve isn't Madrid and they would easily beat Ajax. City couldn't handle Lyon in the group stages. They are far from invincible.

Let them qualify for the semis first. Tottenham might just knock them out. I hope City qualifies though.

if we play Anfield 1st leg, I think Valverde will adopt the same strategy he used against Man utd, score early and lazy in possession. And I believe my defense too, Pique be giving me joy
isn't it settled we are playing home first in the semis? Not sure the Man Utd/City thing applies to Liverpool.

Mane is damn deadly, of all Liverpool's forwards, I fear Mane the most even though he has this penchant to miss glaring goals. Ahh Liverpool will be our toughest match in UCL
yeah, I also think Mane is the most deadly Liverpool forward this season despite how underrated he is. Has been the most consistent this season too.

I hope we bring our A game for both legs, especially away at Anfield.

You clearly haven't been paying attention to De Jong's overall play.. I tell you bro De Jong na baller.
The plan would be De Jon, Arthur and Busquets.
Busi is ageing.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Ozkar: 3:05pm On Apr 17, 2019
I like that De Jong can easily slot in for Busi. Cos as much as I hate to say it Busi is no longer what he used to be. Still classy, but in his prime he hardly ever lost the ball when in possession. I guess he still has a season or two left in him.

Buy De Ligt, but nobody should sell Rakitic o. Umtiti money can cover it.
