Last season, Chelsea lost 3-0 at camp nou....
Now man utd have lost the same 3-0....
It's time to teach this small boys how to beat Barcelona at camp nou....
We did it in 2009 playing riise, a defender, as a striker.... We'll do it again. the same 2009 that Barca won the UCL? Or do you mean 2007? You were beaten at Anfield too. You know what happened the last time you faced a Spanish side outside the group stage. Keep making noise, you guys are the next to get knocked out. |

jelel6: Football is difficult to always predict because of the variables seemingly beyond human control. However, we must still try to analyze as best as we could.
All the juventus supporters here are not sincere to themselves if they think Juventus is one of the favorites for this season's champion league simply because they bought Ronaldo. Last season, juve were unbelievably fortunate to knock out Spurs. They don't have a very recognized way of playing, mostly in constructing attacks. Ronaldo can only help you finish attack, not start them. Hence, I was very sure that they didn't necessarily improved compared to last season.
Athletico Madrid and Juve play similar style and Juve just got the better of them. No surprises there. Ajax just showed everyone the benefits of a very organized style of play if you have good players to implement it. Team football always trump one man teams.
Not that I was certain Ajax will beat Juve but I was sure it was going to be an even game overall. Ajax was fantastic over two legs. But I think Man City and Tottenham are both different teams to Juventus. Both will pressure Ajax intensely like Juve never did because that's their own way of playing. And both can play football that juve can't. Man City, in particular could wallop Ajax because they both play similar styles, but City have way better players than Ajax.
Ajax vs Spurs. Generally even game Ajax vs Man city. City are already in the final. don't be so sure. That's how you guys were saying Juve isn't Madrid and they would easily beat Ajax. City couldn't handle Lyon in the group stages. They are far from invincible. Let them qualify for the semis first. Tottenham might just knock them out. I hope City qualifies though. |

vacanci: USA must also be backward when Obama's eligibility to contest presidency was challenged that he was not an American by birth even after election until he presented documents to show he was born in Hawaii. We simply need to change this constitution to allow all Nigerians contest presidency whether by birth, native or referendum. The backwardness is not about challenging birth, it's about not being able to focus on the more important things - after the shameful elections, we'd rather argue over a citizenship that should have been argued in court before the elections. In Obama's case, what was contested was whether he was truly born in Hawaii, not whether Hawaii qualified as part of the US. Even if Obama was born before Hawaii officially became a US state, he'd still have been a natural born US citizen. Some said the documents were forged, and that he was actually born in Kenya and taken to the US thereafter. Not even one person tried to rubbish Hawaii as not being a true part of the US despite it becoming part of the US pretty late. Here were are trying to make citizens from a Nigerian state second-class Nigerians just to distract everyone from the real issue about election irregularities and the claim of a stolen mandate. |

They had a sham of a presidential election but this is what everyone is arguing about - whether a past VP was born in Nigeria - even when his place of birth is currently geographically part of Nigeria.
This is why Africa is not progressing. We have a way of holding on to the most meaningless things and giving it full attention to the detriment of what is truly important. Plus illiterates wrote our constitution with its many holes.
Those who have taken a chokehold on power are trying to distract the nation and as usual everyone is distracted. When would the people in this country finally have sense? |

The opinion in question is that girls are 'less interested' in math and you guys are here talking about girls you know that are good in math. What's the relationship biko?
How many ladies do you see in mathematics and engineering fields? Also, many study CS but only a few are interested in programming.
In the end the presidency isn't quite well if this is what they choose to talk about, over more important issues. Everyone has a right to choose what they like. |

I think it's fair. In the end, everyone is in the sport for money. Truth is, even if the smaller clubs choose to keep their players, they can't compete with the tempting deals that the big clubs can offer. They don't have big sponsors or Arab money owners. |

The Atletico's match over the weekend took it toll on us.
Kudos to Man United for keeping the GOAT at bay.
we go again !!!! keeping him at bay by giving him a bloody nose? They didn't stop him from setting up the only goal of the game. You guys should stop acting like Man Utd is some lowly second division club. Their fans are consoling themselves by claiming the helpless underdog and you guys are buying that tale. Those underdogs made the quarter finals while PSG went home. They are supposed to give a good fight in their own home at least. They are supposed to have shots on target. The young Ajax team had 6 against Juve. |

mcdreeezy: However you might want to put it, Barca need to improve in their away games if they want to win the competition. If we played a team with unforgiving forwards, it would have been a different outcome trust me. Remember that we did not score. We're just fortunate to win the game tonight.
I feel like it's time I stopped watching Barca knockout games away from home in the UCL cuz they only put in a good shift at the Camp Nou.
Sometimes I wonder how we did it back in 2014/15 when we beat City home and away in the round of 16, PSG home and away in the quarterfinals and then we put in a really good shift to draw with Bayern 2-2 at the Allianz Arena after beating them 3-0 at the Camp Nou in the first leg.
I wonder. yes we won away games in 2015. A goal difference (like today) away to City and 2 away to PSG, but no we didn't draw Bayern. We actually lost 3 - 2 at the Allianz but won on aggregate and went on to win the competition. If that away loss to Bayern had knocked us out of the competition, you'd have remembered it. To put it in perspective, we are the only team left in the UCL that have not lost a game. Also we are the only away team in the quarter finals that won this first leg. |

Your Barcelona will still find it difficult to beat any of Liverpool, Totentham, Chelsea, Manchester City or even wolve lol. It's really sad. A complete _shit-show. I think I understand this. We have become so used to Barcelona winning that just any win becomes boring. We want to totally dominate, and it's easy to think we have always demolished everyone home and away. Remember how we lost 2 - 0 away to Milan years back? Or 3 - 0 away to Juve 2 years ago? Or 4 - 0 away to PSG? Those weren't under conservative coaches. Madrid didn't win their UCL titles by beating everyone with a two-goal margin. Many times they were shitty and just managed to scale through with the odd goal, sometimes a lucky dying minute penalty or an offside not caught. Today, no one remembers all that. Sometimes just know how to win ugly or boring. |

Adiwana: I really hate our casual approach to some games and should really be killing off games to make life much easier for us.Our away games in the champions league this season has really lacked that spark. This was identical to the Lyon game only that we scored today. If we injected half as much energy we used in playing teams like Betis and Levante away from home,we should have really dealt with this Man utd. This Man utd side were so poor and only good player they had today was Mctominay.Dude was winning duels and putting in tackles.Pogba couldnt even pass the ball to save his life and Young was crossing like a player playing for under 12.Nice game again by Semedo was really dribbling the entire game.Best match so far by Lenglet.Good overrall performance but we should really be bringing our A game away from home if we are to win this champions league well, it's not just this season. We are usually better at home, and it stretches back to the Pep era. I wish we could be more impressive away, but then what I want the most is to go all the way to win the UCL. So I don't mind that we performed so poorly that Man Utd could not get a shot on target in their own home. |

afroxyz: weren't messi's best moments with xavi and iniesta? no. Messi's best moments aren't over, for those who actually watch him play. There are things he's doing now that he didn't when Xavi and Iniesta were in Barça, like the freekick expertise. I might be wrong, but I don't think Eto'o was ever Barcelona's best player in any season. He wasn't even remotely the main reason why Pep was successful in 2009. Unless you are talking about 2006. Even then there was Ronaldinho. Suarez has even overtaken him on the all-time goals chart for Barca. |

You don't know that, bro. I wonder why you people hold on to the stereotype that cheating is a male thing (and that women are the face of faithfulness) when women are simply caught less often than men are. Your lady could be cheating on you with multiple men and still be mad at you when she finds out you are cheating too. If you manage to catch her, she'd simply find a way to blame you. He was king then but now Messi is King.... simple. you guys probably didn't even read the post. He said he was behind Guardiola's success of the first season. Pep took over in 2008/2009, and in that season Messi was a revelation for Barcelona. How is Eto'o right? He contributed to Pep's success but he wasn't even Barca's best player. He played his peak football before Pep became coach, and his peak football didn't stop Barca from going trophyless. It's not a coincidence that Barca became this formidable when Messi had his first injury-free season and started to peak. |

TheGoodJoe: A decade at the highest level/performances. If not top quality. A young player like Messi when he burst into the scene had a Word Class potential. He could be excused when he won the World best three times. Same with CR7. Apart from these special instances. The likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Paul Scholes, Pirlo etc, became World class after a decade.
That is my personal yardstick. With that you can easily identify the World class players and those who are not.
De Bruyne isn't but David Silva is. seriously? De Bruyne isn't? That means someone like Salah isn't either. I think you are mixing up world class with having a legend status. |
