Nonsense. I still remember the 6 - 2 thrashing of Madrid in 2008/2009. Messi and Henry scored braces, even Puyol and Pique scored but this dude was just misfiring Yes you were an important player for Barca, but your best moments were with Ronaldinho. 121 Likes 4 Shares |

The mother of the man handed him over to the police? Nice! I thinks that's one area we need to improve on in Africa, 'this blood is thicker than water' thing. So we try to cover up the crimes of loved ones even when we know they did it. Sometimes just help cage the monster, even if it's a family member. There's no guarantee your favourite monster wouldn't turn on you someday. |

Oblak na keeper sha. Dude saved so many shots that Messi took it personal Suarez remains an enigma. Missing a sweet 1-on-1 only to score a screamer afterwards Great game. Can't wait to catch Man Utd! |

Isomerizm:In my opinion, we aren't doing badly although we can improve. We are still in all competitions we started in this season. How many clubs in Europe's top 5 leagues can boast of that? In the end results matter, and all the more so for simple minds (the majority of fans everywhere, actually). Messi has played well with Argentina, but many think he's flopped because of that missing final result. |

jpmoriarti:lol. Forget it, even if we win the treble some would still slander EV. I can understand sha, he doesn't look very inspiring squatting at the sidelines (looking overwhelmed). People are easily swayed by their own interpretation of body language. I think we'd win the treble though. Hopefully we've learnt from last season. |

Kingblingz:I don't think this is because Umtiti and Lenglet are both left-footed. We've had two right footed CBs and heaven didn't fall. There's a lot Pique offers that Umtiti couldn't quite replicate, likely because he's not back to form yet. The midfield didn't offer much in the way of defense either. |

Frantic end to the game. You could almost taste the hunger for the equalizer. Glad we didn't lose. Our defence was so shitty though, and Umtiti was our weakest link today. Busquets also was below par for me. Hated how the moment Roberto goes forward and Umtiti tries to cover the middle is blown wide open. |

Travel / Re: Truckload Of Beer Crashes In Akwa Ibom, Residents Get Free Beer by Ozkar: 1:18pm On Mar 30, 2019 |
ThothHermes:if you remember my first post (which you tried to shut me up for), I started out by saying there's no real difference between humans and animals. At their core, they both follow base instinct which is mostly greedy and selfish. A goat walks by your house and sees a tuber of yam lying on the ground, it doesn't think twice. It doesn't care whether you bought it with your last money to feed hungry kids. All it cares about is that it wants to eat and it likes yam. The point of that post was that every human has that tendency, however we give in (to that tendency) more in this part of the world, despite all the religious and cultural influence. So you haven't even said anything different. My comment about exceptions wasn't about humans generally. It was about the Japanese and bad behaviour. The example of the post-earthquake looting is one such exception. The fear and despair that natural disasters create is enough to turn the best behaved person into a scavenger scratching and clawing to survive. Take away the natural disaster and you'd be hard pressed to find another instance of mass Japanese looting in this century. The persons that looted the bottles of beer had no such extraordinary circumstance. No pressure to try to survive. It's just who they are. And it's not like it's something as valuable as money; ordinary drinks they probably don't even need. With another truck on another street in another state in Nigeria, the result would hardly be different. People would come to loot even if it's fuel that can explode at any time and kill them. It's just like the goat and the lonely tuber of yam. With another goat on another road in front of another house, the goat would go for the yam every time. No second thoughts. Humans... Animals... Little difference. |

ThothHermes:because they have strong traditions deeply rooted in respect for and kindness to others. Unlike in Nigeria, bad behaviour is the exception and not the norm. Here, is normal for the majority to try to exploit you the first chance they get and then try to justify it by saying it's your fault and you weren't sharp. Same way you are here claiming it's normal behaviour. |

pazienza:lol. Messi crumbles under pressure when it matters most? So how come Messi has more total trophies than Ronaldo despite starting professional football 2 years later? He brings the best out of his teams? How come Ronaldo hasn't won every competition he's played in, even if just one season? How come Madrid went trophyless in a season that they had Ronaldo? How come Messi consistently had more MOTM performances even in the UCL seasons Madrid won? How come Ronaldo has never played even third place game in the world cup? He drops disasterclasses because they aren't high pressure conditions? That explains how he manages to have just 4 - 6 great performances in a season of more than 50 games. So far this season, a hattrick against Atletico is the only awesome game he's had, in more than 30 appearances for Juve. |

pazienza:Ronaldo that didn't even play anything in the final of the Euro (2016) that Portugal won. His team won without him on the pitch against France. The best he has done is helping his team get to the final. Messi has done that multiple times, even in the world cup. Unlike Messi however, Ronaldo has not even been outstanding in any international tournament he has played in. Portugal lost the previous final he played in. Lol. Unless you are a Madrid fan, your favorite team has not won the UCL after Messi won it with Barca in 2015. Oga, if La Liga was easy to win and dominate, how come Ronaldo only won it twice in 9 years? How come he was the best player just once in 9 years? How come he couldn't bully the small teams and win the league every year? Ronaldo is like the kind of player that gets 98% in maths but less than 70% in all the others, but likes to think he's better than his classmate whose average is 90% because he got like 92% in maths. Go and compare their average ratings across different competitions and seasons. Abeg dem no be mate. |

DONADAMS:being a starter is not the same as being at your peak. You can also be a top 3 player and not be at your peak. A player is at his peak when he's playing at his best. You mean Messi was at his peak in 2008 when he scored like 16 goals in all competitions? Ronaldo scored 42 goals in that same season. Messi only peaked in 2009 which incidentally happened to be his first uninterrupted season. For the first time, he scored more than 30 goals all season. He was very injury prone before then. That said, you can see why it's silly to compare goal Ronaldo's 9 years of peak football in Spain with Messi's full stay in la liga? You either compare their football in the 9 years they were together in Spain or compare their full career stats. Either way, Messi has the better stats and has played better. |

Yuceeluv:lol. This is precious! Who would have thought that people measure the worth of their sad lives by access to something as basic as satellite tv? Satellite tv o! No, I hardly watch TV at all. pazienza:lol. Dude, Ronaldo has just one more UCL title than Messi. Just one! You mean Ronaldo was also a flop before Bale's goals helped him win his 5th last season? No, not just anybody can win the league. It's the most consistently brilliant team over 38 games that wins it. Messi's consistency is a big reason why Barcelona has won the treble twice, and Madrid couldn't. Thanks to Messi, Barca even cleared all 6 trophies available in a season. That's the peak of consistency. Ronaldo could never. Ronaldo simply has like 5 great games all season, and is either average or totally disappears in the other games. Please don't bring the world cup into any Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo debate. Ronaldo has 7 world cup goals across 4 world cups and has never even played in a world cup semi final. He has played first team football for Portugal for more than 14 years but has never won an individual award in any international competition. They aren't mates jare. |
