No real difference between humans and animals. Especially Nigerian humans. Nearly everyone thinks about themselves only, without a care about the effect of their greed on others. The most painful part is that we are deeply religious in this part of the world, yet so dishonest 1 Like |

Lol. Everything is strange to the average Nigerian because they know next to nothing outside of religion and superstition. That's how rats fight. If you watch documentaries enough, default animal behaviour wouldn't surprise you. |

DONADAMS:lol. Ronaldo joined Madrid at his peak. Messi didn't even play regular first team football for years after he started out at Barcelona. He only peaked in 2009. Hope you know that Messi has a better career goal ratio. Also he has more goals + assists despite playing almost 150 games less. It might also interest you to learn that in the period that Ronaldo played in Spain Messi scored more goals than him. That's despite the fact that Ronaldo dropped every other aspect of his game to focus on scoring goals while Messi combined playmaking with goal scoring. Abeg when it comes to sheer quality, they aren't mates. Not even close. |

pazienza:nonsense. Every year he plays in at least 3 competitions, and you guys pretend he only plays in the UCL knockout because he's usually anonymous in the others. This season he's already gotten his new team knocked out of their domestic cup. The UCL is a maximum of 13 matches from first league game to the final. The knockout to final has just 7 games. If a team plays just 13 good games in their local league, they can't win it! That's why Ronaldo hardly won La Liga titles. So yes, the UCL is more prestigious but it takes consistent brilliance to win your league after 38 games. Ronaldo lacks the consistency to be on the same level as Messi. Messi isn't a 5-good-games-in-a-full-season kind of player. That's why if you choose to focus on trophies, you'd be embarrassed to know that Messi has far more total trophies than Ronaldo despite starting football 2 years later. |

originalme1:lol, jokes. He had 9 years of first team football to be the best player in Spain, but 8 out of 9 gears, he wasn't even good enough. 7 out of the 8 was because of Messi. As far as Spain is concerned, CR7 and Griezmann dey the same level dey drag, with their once-in-9-years achievement. Messi no be their mate. |

Myself2:don't be silly, Ronaldo has not conquered any league. There's no domestic league he has played where has been the best player at least half of the time he played first team football. None! Ronaldo and Messi played together in the same league for 9 years and we know who was consistently the best player there. Forget talk, on the pitch with the ball they aren't on the same level. Same way Ibrahimovic is not better than Pele simply because the former has played in many different clubs in different leagues. Great footballers are usually either goal machines (like Ronaldo or Zlatan or Kane) or genius playmakers (like Iniesta or Xavi or Modric), sometimes even neither and hardly ever both. Messi is fully both! Better than the other top goal scorers, better than the other top playmakers. |

Myself2:this play-in-another-league gist is boring already. It's like telling Apple to use Android OS to prove that they are good at making devices. It's a pretty stupid thing to say. You know what it means to conquer a league? In which league can you call Ronaldo the best player ever? I dunno about EPL but he isn't even second best in La Liga history despite playing there at his peak. He had an inconsequential career in Portugal and won just one supercup. He did better in EPL, but where does he rank amongst the best EPL players ever? In the 9 years he spent at Spain, he was the best player just once (same as Griezmann), while Messi was the best for the remaining 7 years. In Italy, he hasn't done anything remarkable yet. The only competition Ronaldo has conquered is the UCL, and Messi is not even far behind. The only overrated one here is Ronaldo, always lurking around the box waiting to tap in a pass or head in a cross and disappearing from the game when he gets neither. Despite his focus on scoring, he usually needs more games and more shots per game to score the same number of goals as Messi who is more of a playmaker. They aren't mates jare. |

Why do many ladies have this victim mentality? They mess up and still manage to make it the fault of the nearest guy. If a man messes up, it's his fault. If a woman messes up, it's a man's fault. So much for wanting equal opportunities as men, when you cannot even shoulder responsibility for your own actions. 1 Like |

cr7lomo:lol. It's now motivation. What is the use of a coach if it's the job of a player to motivate fellow professional footballers? Higuain and Palacio needed motivation to just score with the passes Messi gave them in the world cup final? Face it, Ronaldo drops so many disasterclasses which you guys overlook because his team can even win titles without him. You can as well keep quiet now, cos you have nothing meaningful to say. You are a Ronaldo stan but you obviously don't even watch most of his games. |
Sports / Re: Lionel Messi Returns To Barcelona After Argentina's Loss To Venezuela (Photos) by Ozkar: 1:35pm On Mar 24, 2019 |
Topmaike007:yes. The Portugese team has a better keeper, a far better defense and a better midfield. Argentina only has better attackers. I hope you know that Portugal is currently leading their group (that includes Italy and Poland) in the UEFA Nations League. Ronaldo didn't play for them at all. I suspect some of you don't actually watch these games. Your attackers are useless if they don't get the ball, and even if they score it wouldn't matter if the defense keeps conceding more goals than the attack can score. That's why the Portugese team is better, when Ronaldo drops disasterclasses like the last one, it might not matter because their defense wouldn't concede unnecessary goals. |

Sports / Re: Messi Leaves Argentina Team After 3-1 Defeat To Venezuela by Ozkar: 1:06pm On Mar 24, 2019 |
cr7lomo:Not the same place Ronaldo was when Atletico beat them 2 - 0. Messi never vanishes in a game like Ronaldo does. He could have a quiet game by his own standards, but then his standards is not the same as those of other players (including Ronaldo). He's always tracking back, orchestrating things, creating chances. In which match have you ever seen 3 players marking only Ronaldo? It doesn't happen, because he's just the guy that lurks around the goal to nod in the crosses or tap in the passes. That's why he drops disasterclasses a lot, when he's not scoring he's pretty much useless on the pitch. For Messi however, he usually ends up being the best player for his side even when they lose. Messi never gets a 5.x rating out of 10, ever! Ronaldo can play badly many times and Juve would still qualify from the group stage or Madrid would win the UCL final like they did last season. He can even leave the pitch and Portugal would still win a Euro final against France. His contribution is usually just a bonus - overhyped when it happens, inconsequential when it doesn't. When Messi isn't at his best, even a Roma can cause an upset like you pointed out. Or his Argentina can run the risk of not qualifying for the world cup. That's how important he is for his teams. Keep on pretending Ronaldo wouldn't go missing again when his teammates do not feed him crosses and he doesn't get penalties. We both know Portugal has never won a final (in any competition, Junior or Senior) with Ronaldo on the pitch. 1 Like |

None of them masturbating to the Argentina results even watched the game. Ronaldo has a few good games toward the end of the season every season and they compare him with the most consistent player the game has ever seen. 1 Like |

olaolaking:see this one shifting goal posts and displaying selective amnesia. First you said "a great player makes the difference when playing with a bad team" because Messi's Argentina (whose players we don't even know) lost a friendly game. When I reminded you that Ronaldo was the worst player in Portugal's own game (and there are more games like that than you fanboys are willing to admit), you quickly said it happens to all great players and everyday is not Christmas. When Messi loses a final game in which he was even the most creative player for his side, you guys rubbish everything else he has done in the tournament and make stupid statements like "what does it profit a man to drag his team to the final and lose it?" When Ronaldo goes anonymous in a final and his teammates win the trophy without his help, you guys remember that the journey to the final is important also. Look in the mirror and ask yourself if you have sense. 1 Like |

Sports / Re: Messi Leaves Argentina Team After 3-1 Defeat To Venezuela by Ozkar: 9:40pm On Mar 23, 2019 |
ozilo1chance:is this supposed to somehow justify the disasterclasses he dropped after returning? He's had just one outstanding game in 7 UCL games, and the other guy is arguing that he ALWAYS makes the difference for his team and that the poor game he had with Portugal is a one-off thing. You guys simply notice the games he plays really well, because they don't come as often as the one's he's either just average or really awful. This is how people explain away his bad games and hype the few outstanding ones - "he scores when it matters most" |

olaolaking:You clearly don't watch Ronaldo often. Lemme remind you a bit with just UCL this season. Let's not add the Juve defeat against Atalanta that knocked them out of their domestic cup. No need to add the last UCL final that Bale had to come from the bench to rescue Madrid. In this year's UCL, Ronaldo played 6 games before the Atletico game in which he bagged a hattrick. Guess how many goals he had across those 6 previous games. |
