You can't use powder for nappy rash o, it will cake and cause more harm. Better to use sudocreme.
He doesn't need to rub powder to look fresh.

You can try to pour it inside another container or can as well leave it in the follow come sachet, while pouring it, stir at same time and don't stop until you get the consistency you want. If you pause while pouring it especially when it's still watery, you will get lumps. I do have lumps while making cerelac cos usually buy the big can and there is no how I can lift the can while pouring and stiring, I usually scoop with one hand and stir with their her hand but before I scoop again to pour it's already formin lumps. I think I will use the first method for my cerelac too. I will look for a small container, pour some into it and prepare the cereal from it. Another thing is if your water is too hot, it will become lumpy.

Imported, I get them from supermarkets and big shopping malls. You can also get it in next, games, Sahad, shoprite. I don't know where you are.

A cereal is any grass cultivated for the edible components of its grain. You are right, they are cereals but they are different cereals just like the name says rice, maize, nixed cereals etc, even the fruits cereals like their apple and banana are still cereal based.
I add milk to to it, even baby cerelac that has milk already, I still add my baby milk cos me no trust that their milk or know their quantity.
So if your baby eat rice cereal with milk in the morning, know it that your baby ate rice with milk and if he takes oat with milk as lunch, then he ate oak , same thing with eating banana and apple at night , maize etc. with that, he has eaten say 4 different meals a day and not same same meal for the whole day.

Omo mehn, Cerelac was beginning to be a pricey option, we have been drinking Weetabix and all was well. So I decided to try Golden Morn and she has reacted to it. Arms and bum covered in a nasty rash and she started stooling. Please Mamas, any other suggestions for cereal or do we stay with Weetabix and Quaker Oats?

Have you tried Nutribom brand of cereal? They are cheaper like 500-600 per pack for 350g and it doesn't finish fast like cerelac. They have rice, maize, oat, mixed cereal, banana and apple. I buy all plus cerelac so we don't keep repeating same taste. Dunno if the weetabix is cheaper dou.

I tried it yesterday and it came out real smooth and sweet...no water needed at all...downside was my preggie sis visited and insisted on peanut butter made by moi...that's how I became groundnut roaster and blender...you can mix with all sort of things, I mixed hers with olive oil and honey.

How exactly did you do this? Did you roast the groundnut yourself, what kind of blender did you use. Make I follow you dey chop home made gnut paste. Mine is finished and am not ready to send sis inlaw in this Buharised era.

My dear, there is both ceiling fan & rechargeable fan in the room, but DH says the cold & cough she has is cos of fan, so he insists I switch off both and wear her, her thickest pjays.

I think rotating standing fan is better than putting on ceiling fan for babies. I hope you don't put him directly under the fan, even the standing fan shouldn't be too close to him.

Sabi mamas, what's the difference between first and second name, can you interchange them without hassle in the future? (Esp abroad)
For eg, can I use my baby's 2nd name as his main name especially in school and certificates or i must put it in the real order ? If when just one name is required, can I use just his first name with surname alone?

/ekeminiabasi I guess you have read all that other mamas said. It really should not be a case, don't be surprised you will be given the while slot to name your second kid just like someone said.

And again, you shouldn't involve your parents on everything especially when you know they weren't initially in support of the inter marriage. It will add more fuel to the fire. I understand you may have involved them cos MIL was involved too but I don't think it will help the case especially when DH is already bent on going ahead with his plan.
