jmoore:It’s already 1,800 today |
People sometimes undermine the high risk in dealing with wild animals. “A beast will surely have its own day” |
The main solution to Nigeria problem is "REGIONALIZATION OF GOVERNMENT" Nigeria is already dead and not different from those bodies in the morgue, and not fixable by any politician that people are yelling for their support to power. Unfortunately the motive of people coming to politics in Nigeria is ultimately to get rich, become a billionaire, and aquire luxurious life of their dream. Politics is the target platform which material men go through to achieve their selfish desire. In developed country like USA and Britain, politicians don't have ambition to become a billionaire through politics. What we call democracy in Nigeria is synonymous to looters venture. There is no loyalty for the country in our politicians talk less of love the people that voted for them, which is the reason why most of the assets they embezzled are kept in foreign countries. Regional government will completely demarcate the Nigeria that is not fit for purpose and give people opportunities to leave to their dream without the anxiety of relocating to another country. People will take local politics more serious if political system is working and realistic and make the choice of leaders of good reputation and backgrounds instead of voting for unknown entities that will give a setback to the country. Regional government will also help to facilitate regional businesses whereby North will trade with south, and west will trade with east. Every region will be run independently by leaders of people's choice and the rule of law will work for every citizens under the umbrella of equality. Also policing and security system will be redesign by each region to suit their regional challenges. Pastoral preaching and consolation cannot put food in people's belly, or grant their children and grandchildren a good future. Unless a genuine action is taken. Are the people that we call leaders ready for the historical radical action that will overhaul government affairs of this country and safe us from Doom to Boom ? |
Our government like to copy cat the system in overseas, forgetting that their own government will give much to the public and takes little back in form of tax. Nigerian government of today just want to extort the poorest citizens by levying taxes on them. |
Twe ! Twe !! Na some criminal politicians go divert the release to their private custody and hoard them for second term campaign. |
Akwamkpuruamu:Are you genuinely one of us, or a living spirit.? |
Blakjewelry:There are fresh security challenges that call for military preparation. Three countries recently withdrew their membership from ECOWAS. They definitely have agenda and have the support of radical islamic nations in the Middle East, who are going to be funding them, training them and supplying them modern weapons. Nigeria as the engine room of ECOWAS may be a potential target. We have to be prepared and our forces need weapons that is required for modern battle. |
Throwback:It is selfishness that can make someone to say that high dollar won’t affect Nigerians because we don’t spend in dollars. Especially those who are spending free money or stolen government money will reason in such a foolish manner . Nigeria is a high importation nation. We imports most goods and essential commodities, so how won’t high dollar rate affect everything about our lives? |
Honestly, people at the corridor of power dont have a clue how terrible the situation in Nigeria at the present time. Virtually everything is rising in cost everyday, from food items to medicines, even a bottle of soft drink is now N300. Unfortunately everybody is not living a luxurious and comfortable life like Bayo Onanuga and Bola Tinubu. In reality, 80% of Nigerians are living below poverty level and look everywhere in the country, you will see and smell poverty. People are hawking items that cannot yield sustainable income, and surely crime rate will be increasing after inflation. President Bola Tinubu and his cabinet should be considerate of the extremely poor condition of people in the grassroot. They are the one that trusted him and brave the sun and rain to vote for him. However if they are confused about fixing the economy, it is advisable for them to resign and lets take this country through an alternative. Nigerians need the present and future of this country, our children's have nowhere to go, and it is a bad idea for citizens of any decent country to be so desperate to abscond to another man's land due to economic hardship. |
Emusan:Look, Good luck Jonathan administration was the most corrupt after Abacha in the history of Nigeria; God is a witness. Nigeria could have turn to small London during that administration with the amount of dollars made out of excess crude , additionally substantial Abacha loot was released to that administration. Sad to realise how greedy and corrupt politician looted huge money in dollars to personal account and some even kept money in underground and inside water tanks. Till today many of the governors and politicians who escaped EFCC arrest have not spent one third of their loot. |
anonymous1759:BDC are the problem, and find out who are the owners( Hausa ppl ) They will soon buy and hoard the whole dollars disbursed by government to take us to a new level of dollar scarcity. Commercial banks also partner with BDC with intent to maximize their profit instead of selling directly to individual people who need dollars. This problem will continue untill government overhaul the entire process and break the backbone of some greedy brokers. |
Our government are so passive in making laws that will affect the influential and the rich citizens, and consequently keeping the masses suffering and chastised to the benefit of the few rich ones in the country. It could have been so pragmatic for the federal government to scap the BDC and disable their association from having sway on the rate and distribution of hard currency, and allow commercial banks to fill the gap. Nigeria is a huge consumer of Dollar and we largely import many things into this country i.e drugs, electronics & computers, certain food items, textiles etc . But we are also a nation known for corruption and that is why their is no honesty in the way BDC operators are handling forex business to the consumers. Also majority of our SME institutions are in the category of importation. If government continue to turn a blinking eye on overhauling dollar distribution, most notably the prices of drugs and foods will keep rising and that will make our already fragile economy to be at risk of collapsing, and kill the prospect of growing the SME which is a key sector In building a strong economy. |
JasonScoolari:He is nobody's Dad and unfortunately, doesn't know if anyone exist. Leave your life, pray to God to help you. Don't look at politicians, but jesus Christ our savior. |
JasonScoolari:He is not your Daddy, so don't expect much from a man who doesn't know you. |
Scholace:The reason is because Nigeria is a lawless country. A place you can do what you like. So don't expect much from anybody. If you are hungry; it's your problem, if you are unemployed, it's no man's business......m |
Poll23:Boss you sound like peson wey dey carry spoon follow politicians chop. I beg sort me out bro. |
Amudeneogu:You need no experience to rule Nigeria, as long as you know how to enjoy a flamboyant live. |
Le France LA enjoymente . Mr. Presido dey flex for obodo oyinbo while the heat of inflation is killing Nigerians slowly. |
I am an importer and can tell you that we have seized importation due to the surge in dollar rate. There is no how you can make any profit when exchange rate stands @ N1,410/$ . The bad financial time is the reason why prices of commodities keep rising outrageously, Meanwhile there will come a level where prices will reach peak that Nigerians will not be able to afford product anymore. Government should do something urgently to safe SME institutions from collapsing totally |
Its time for government to take a responsible measure to assuage the perpetual surge in dollar rate. Continuous fall in Naira may lead to more serious economic disaster and the earlier action is taken, ; the better it is. |
tsephanyah:You think so when dollar keep increasing everyday. I hope you are aware of prices of foodstuffs in the market and perhaps you are pleased with the way SME are sinking as a result of unfavourable financial time. Look, if you are enjoying a piece of cake, know that it last for a while and our children's future depend on the Nigeria that we can build today. |
I may not be an advocate of criminal behavior such as yahoo boys, but with the current state of Nigerian economy and the level of hardship chastising people of this country on daily basis, DOLLAR standing @ N1,410 / $ , small businesses collapsing, prices of food stuffs and essential commodities triples within a twinkle of an eye, have led to an inevitable surge in criminal behavior in thus country, especially among youths. Unfortunately our government are totally insensitive to the devastating effect of inflation in the society. They blow siren and ride in convoy in expensive attires, but there is no action to rescue the ship of this country from sinking. As they says " when building start blowing up, peoples priority tend to change. Many Nigerians have fled for their lives to relocate to other countries for survival in recent time, but what becomes of those who are unlucky to stay back in the country? We have come to a state whereby every Nigerian should forget if we have government and raise the antenna of their survival instinct to the highest. |
He could have let the drugs jump out of the window instead of him jumping dead. |
Godoverevery:There is no how he can rest in peace when he choosed to died in pieces. |
Luckily it can buy you a third hand tuketuke wey you fit dey ply short distances. |
Neither you are solution to this country problems. Nigerians don't trust any politician in this country again. The most important document a Nigerian need now is International passport, not a voters card anymore. |
They have finished this country called Nigeria. It doesn't even look like a country anymore. The suffering here pass slavery self. Nigerians should vote for re- colonization by the west instead of voting again in any election. |
Solidkay:Most foreign investors are likely to make choices to withdraw their investments from Nigeria now with the looming economic disaster. |
Honestly the best thing to do is to sell this country, and let everybody collect their cut and walk away to where ever you want to resettle. Otherwise politicians will keep feeding large on the bone marrow of the poor masses. Nigeria is not fixable by any politician. |
Nigeria is finished in the way of corruption. |
They never torture the bastard well. |
Only an impotent will appreciate this writeup. |
