GistMedia0: In a deeply emotional moment, the body of Herbert Wigwe, a renowned businessman, philanthropist, and beloved figure, has arrived in his hometown of Isiokpo, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, for his final journey home. The somber event was captured on video as the community gathered to pay their respects to a man who touched many lives
This is not a natural way to die ( husband, wife and son). I have never heard where the two engines of a helicopter shut down same time. There are sins which men commit in life that will trigger the wrath of God.
Mr. Adeshina is actually telling the truth, but those that we call leaders in this country did not help that vision. Greed, selfishness and disloyalty is the attitude in our leaders. Many youths are now giving up on their survival chances and time in this country and even getting radicalized out of hardship that they are so abusive to anyone in political uniform.
ovie8200: Hope you all can see life now....the frogeyes was tarnishing Jonathan thinking he was smart and knows it all. Jonathan must be smiling and laughing at Nigeria and Nigerians in general. Jonathan please enjoy the rest your life to fullest.
Jonathan is the creator of the bad economy that subsequent presidents inherited. Obasanjo left government in a comfortable condition for Yaradua, who died before completing his tenure. When Jonathan took over, there was oil subsidy during his time, and crude oil was sold at the highest due to surge in demand, large sum of Abacha loot was also released to his government, and our foreign reserve was fantastic. Reckless spending and irresponsible looting made history in that administration that he left government for Buhari with empty treasury. One thing about our past presidents is that they don't usually expose the negatives of their predecessors for the love of peace and unity, especially if they are of same party. Jonathan administration is the second most corrupt after Abacha in the history of Nigeria.
Sincerely, this man is right in his statement. We have some problems in Nigeria which is rooted to the personality and experiences of the people who are ruling us. Some will come to power to do little they knew, while some will come to do nothing because they knew nothing. Now, how do you expect the later to perform when it is glearing that he has absolutely nothing to offer the country, except getting to presidency and enjoy good 8 years of his life.
Chukwuka319: Am unapologetic Igbo but I must be brutally honest.Anyone with insults can direct them to his or her ancestors, and generation unborn. Why are they harassing Gowon? He spoke the truth about the civil war. Gowon never wanted the war to break out and sought peaceful means of settlement, but Ojukwu was reckless, rash and too eager to pull Igbos out of Nigeria. Well Gowon is still alive, healthy and bubbling in good health, while Ojukwu the war lord has long ago passed to the other Side. And Gowon is older than Ojukwu. Irony of life.
FG should realize that there is nothing that people of this country want to hear aside measures that will eliminate the ongoing poverty chain in the society. Public is not suppose to be aquatinted with daily dollar rate if government is taking good care of its citizens.
There is this question about this Japa thingy we've been wanting to ask..... Maybe we should create a thread about it.....
Below lies the question........
Update : Madam Ngo gave some good reply, We need more.
Aboki only japa to Lagos via truck.
Honestly, if I am Tinubu I will resign jeje , keep my dignity and leave Nigeria to his fate. He already has any amount of money to enjoy life in same standard he does as president. There are miles and acres of problems in Nigerian presidency this time than the enjoyment there. It was Goodluck Jonathan that enjoyed the last Honeymoon in the era of excess crude.
As long as everyone continues to use importer rather than local goods. The demand for fx will always stack higher than the naira....
From your gate to your living room to your bedroom everyone uses 90% imported in their homes. Even when local is available and cheaper. We all still opt for these imported items.......
We all know the solution but the fruit of corruption is to steal as to use all that glitters that is not gold.... This your comment is somehow.
Buy local to grow the Naira.
And it is still the same corruption that has our fx rising because our main trade partner is China and we should be concerned about the yen but our loans and corruption is in dollars.
Is there a nation that did not import? Even you import materials to aid local manufactured goods. USA & UK are large importers, yet their economy is rock solid. The problem of Nigeria is greed, corruption, and lawlessness.
Nigeria is a blessed country, but the caliber of people who are ruling us lack leadership principles and are finicky about acquiring wealth and luxury.
Solution is to suspend dollar circulation to public through BDC and enable those who need it for business and other genuine reasons to buy through their commercial bank.
Can someone tell me why those who need dollars cannot buy directly from their commercial bank in similar way that we access our Naira and let government suspend BDC ( middlemen )
