The sad fact is that another aircrash is bound to happen again in the future. The question is when, where, how and who will be involved. It is the harsh reality of mordern travel since man has sought to defy the laws of gravity. RIP to the dead and those in time to come.

Dear All,
Instead of arguing and trading blames, let's take out time to meditate and reflect. A lot of lovable and nice souls perished in that ill fated crash. We even had some fellow nairalanders on that flight. My heart bleeds. I'm taking a break.

Since when did linda connote snake or serpent? Why are we so intellectually lazy even with all the cheap access to google? Why are we like this? Why? Even maureen does not mean darkness! It simply connotes black. Are Africans not black? God help us! The real agents of darkness are those that distort facts and prevent access to truth and the freedom to engage in critical reasoning. One of such people are the so called 'pastors' of this age!
Politics › Re: Cia And Mossad To Divide Nigeria Soon by Pain(m): 2:59pm On Jun 02, 2012
Another loosely put together incoherent conspiracy theory aimed at brainwashing the gullible and those too lazy to research or engage in critical reasoning. At least we can now track a potential subomber.

Beaf: Where can I buy the "Unilag brand" buba ati sokoto? grin
It seems quality of education counts for nothing these days when schools have become brands!
What a shame. You have exposed the depth of your IGNORANCE. Quit dabbling into areas where you are grossly deficient. You are only disgracing yourself. Simply "Google" and discover what the concept of branding is all about!

Beaf: I keep hearing this brand nonsense! angry angry angry angry
Are universities jeans trousers like calvin klein or some other sort of fashion statement?
Brand, my foot!
"Brand my Foot" It appears someone is in need of a Brand Name for his "Foot" Any suggestions?

At least Jonathan has shown that he has some competency in the area of re-branding. Watch out for a Name Change for Nigeria soon. It's just part of the "Transformation Agenda"

Imagine changing the name of Oxford or Harvard overnight? Is that not Brand Assassination? Take it or leave it, branding plays a key role on human psyche. Imagine having to explain yourself outside Nigeria. The coversation below may shed more light:

Foreigner: So which University did you Graduate from?
MAU MAU Grad : Moshood Abiola University?
Foreigner: So which University is that? Never heard of it!
MAU MAU Grad : Oh, it was Formerly University of Lagos.
Foreigner: Oh, now I get it. Have a couple of Friends that passed thru UNILAG. Just learn to add "Former" to it. Okay?
MAU MAU Grad : Noted.
Foreigner: By the way, what was that name again?

papatosibe: of what relevance is this to the matter at hand?
Not relevant because it hits deep into your conscience?

papatosibe: How many people pay tax in Nigeria?
Please ask the FIRS

papatosibe: Whose commonwealth? The one God put there or the one your papa put there for your future use?
See how they reveal the depth of their intellect?

papatosibe: That is not a bad way to look at it . . . After all, GEJ is a venture capitalist by nature. And you know what venture capitalist do, they rename schools. Its their money, the can do and undo with it. Imagine me telling you not to spend your money on that ashi you've been eyeing for the past 5 yrs, how would you feel?
Some rants indeed reveal the innermost recesses of the poster's heart. We indeed have a lot of pseudo-intellectuals now in NL. Pretenders substituting brauns for brains? I'm indeed filled with nostalgia of it's pristine past when we had quality men like Davidlyan et al. SMH
Politics › Re: Wole Soyinka Opposes UNILAG/MAU Renaming by Pain(m): 6:05am On May 31, 2012
Beaf: When did anything ever get funded with taxpayers money in Nigeria? How many pay tax anyway?
The funding is from oil.
Is Oil not a Commonwealth?
Beaf: Ridiculous. I have never heard of dictatorships being voted in.
So you have never heard of elected leaders in Africa meta-morphing into Dictators. Okay, I guess you live in Iceland. The Land of Raw Beaf Eaters
Politics › Re: Wole Soyinka Opposes UNILAG/MAU Renaming by Pain(m): 5:59am On May 31, 2012
My Only Joy is that No Blood was shed on Democracy Day. Have you noticed that GEJ is fond of overheating the Polity to draw blood on Symbolic Days? Jan 1st, Oct 1st etc? I wonder how he will appease the entities that put him to power since he was unable to draw "fresh blood" from students? I'm so sorry for him because he would have to sacrifice a member of his household now...Doubter..watch-out and see shocked

Olumba-Olumba..Patience was an Usher there!!

With all these noise about Abiola's philanthropy and the Fed's right to rename any federal school, can anyone throw more light on the following quetions?

1. What was the source of Abiola's wealth?
2. What is the place of due process and rule of law in a democracy?
3. How is the Fed Gov funding UNILAG? By Tax Payers Money, Commonwealth or Private Funds?
4. Are we still under Dictatorship Rule or Pseudo Dictatorship?

I wonder when the likes of Edwin Clerk will wake up from their delusional slumber. Something is his decaying grey matter is deceiving him that he is a king maker. Someone needs to remind him that Dumb Joe was elected on a national albeit sentimental mandate. The earlier his folks put him to eternal sleep the better. One fact is that neither PDP or any tribal lord was totally responsible for the misfortune that brought Dumb Joe to power in the last election. The unfortunate thing was that Nigerians were largely driven by sentiments rather than objectivity. I can reassure u all that won't happen again. Not with what I saw with the Occupy Nigeria Saga.
