Built a couple of desktop and web based applications for top US telecom companies. Lately, built and donated a library management system to a Naija university using Remedy ARS 7.1 on Windows XP. Keep up the good job guys.
TV/MoviesRe: RMD & Dakore - Caught In The Middle On Bet Jazz by Panache(op): 9:43pm On Dec 20, 2007
Thanks for your contribution. I'm thinking about the pciture and exposure of naija work of art not really the movie itself.
RomanceRe: His Mouth Smells; Should I Tell Him? by Panache(m): 10:32pm On Dec 18, 2007
Give him constant supply of mints and mouthwash. Some people don't take this lightly, so be ready for a war. Depending on how bouyant he is, advise him to see a dentist for cleaning every 6 month. The average naija man won't go until e get toothache.
TV/MoviesRMD & Dakore - Caught In The Middle On Bet Jazz by Panache(op): 1:04am On Dec 17, 2007
Did any one see RMD and Dakore in "Caught in the Middle" today on Africana? A project Nollywood program on BET Jazz ,hosted by Naija's Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (inmate Simon Adebisi of HBO's prison drama "Oz,"wink. A couple of African - American friends called me to find out the meeting of "Shine Your Eyes".
Car TalkRe: Lagos Driving 101 by Panache(m): 12:56am On Dec 17, 2007
All said and done Lagos driving is crazy and funny sometimes. Some months back,  I looked stupid waiting for the light at the Eko Hospital Junction at Ikeja to turn green, at 11 pm. I was amazed and frightened with the way guys were passing a red light like it is green. I pray that the one way laws will be made tougher. Rule of law for visitors and JJC, always keep some change in your pocket for emergencies. Keep moving no matter what. My because learned the hard way, when his tires (tyres) were deflated by some alayes at Apongbon at 3 pm. He came down from the car, after driving about 1 block away.On getting back to the car, he met 2 heavy guys who cleaned his pocket empty. As they say in Lagos, Shine Your Eyes!

I still feel safer to driving myself in Lagos.
NYSCRe: Help Needed About Nysc. by Panache(m): 9:34pm On Dec 10, 2007
some of these items like laptop comes with 110-220V setting so you don't need to purchase another one. I doubt if your flat iron and little appliances will come with that power setting. I will suggest that you contact the nearest 220v store in your city. For the record, some of these things are readily available in naija, na the price go scare you. Best of luck
Nairaland GeneralNairaland Day Is Overdue by Panache(op): 9:31pm On Dec 10, 2007
Dear Nairalanders, I am suggesting that we come up with a Nairaland Event in 2008, so that Nairalanders over the globe can have an opportunity to meet and interact. Afterall, Nairaland is the Facebook and MySpace of Naija. What do you think?

Nairaland GeneralCorrupt Naija Men And Women In Uniform. by Panache(op): 6:57pm On Dec 10, 2007
Have you been harassed, illegally taxed, assaulted, exploited, molested by a Nigerian public officers lately? It's time you contribute your quota to polishing Naija's image. Post stories information about exploitation, harassment and likes from Police, Custom, Immigration, LASTMA, Army, Navy and Naija men and women in Unifrom. Imagine I missed my flight from LOS-JFK just because I refused to settle N5000 for a gift for my boss, that I bought from a malam at Yaba for N1000. Over to you Nairalanders
CultureRe: Nigerian Men and their Foreign Wives by Panache(m): 6:48pm On Dec 10, 2007
Yes, some of us can’t help with whom we fall in love; but to the extent that one can, I would rather a Nigerian. A Nigerian woman is not likely to throw you out of your home; she is not likely to call the cops on you based on flimsy reasons; she is not likely to drag you through the judicial system; she is not likely to throw the divorce papers at you at the slightest provocation; she is not likely to turn her backs at you in times of financial difficulties and other crises. In order words: Nigerian women are likely to stay and be loving and generous and supportive for the long haul! Again and again and again, they have proven that of all God’s creations, they are the very best. And indeed, they are!
Nice one, but I totally disagree with it. Live here in the ATL, Nigerian women are sending naija men to jail for no good reasons and living large from child support. According to a local survey, the rate of divorce between Nigerian/Nigerian relationship in the state of GA, USA is above 50%.Greed and decit is the other of the day.
BusinessRe: Bad Experiences You've Had With Your Banks? by Panache(m): 10:07pm On Dec 03, 2007
I use Zenith for my naira account (superb e-banking) and recently I have tried UBA NRN for dorm. The e-service from these banks is more than impressive. UBA will get your dollar to the US in less than  3 days, no stories. Good feedback from the account reps too. Kudos to Ms. Pat and Mr. Tope of UBA NRN. Keep up the good job. Even BOA and Chase can't offer a better service. I also have good words for them per face2face banking. Kudos to Zenith for their local money transfer, for just N210 you can send money to anyone anywhere in Naija. Bye bye to Western Union and Moneygram.

This is my candid opinion based on my relationship with these banks. I don't work nor intend to work for any of these banks.
RomanceRe: Can Adultery Help My Marriage? by Panache(m): 10:00pm On Dec 03, 2007
According to medical experts, doing it during pregnancy eases delivery and hasten labor. My candid advice is for you to talk to your wife and do it for YOU. Best of luck
Car TalkRe: How Reliable Is Kia? by Panache(m): 9:05pm On Dec 03, 2007
The Kia brand has no second hand value. Also, the body structure is not rigid for naija roads. The parts are also very expensive to buy. Same goes for Hyundai, in fact the parts are interchangeable. Just my 50 cent worth.
TV/MoviesRe: Whosayufitdance. New Dance Show Coming Soon by Panache(op): 9:03pm On Nov 29, 2007
Guys, thanks for your postings. The guys have been on this for about 4 years now. They are working round the clock to bring back the good old days of John Player Dance Championship and Elopee Dance Contest, sauced with modern Naija dance steps. Nigeria is really blessed with potentials. This is 100% Nigeria, no unnecessary foreign flavor. Strictly E - for everyone.

ProgrammingRe: Where Is Nigeria In Software Technology? by Panache(m): 6:47pm On Nov 21, 2007
I truly agree with FemiATL view on this issue. I have worked with Western Europeans, Asians (Indians,Chinese & Japanese) and Americans. The only edge is that these guys are ready to share and learn new things. I once partnered with an Indian to set up a recruiting firm and most of the Indians we recruited had no fore-knowlegde of SW dev and we were able to place them after 6 months. Nigerians are very good developers and ready to share but the problemn with us is that some of us wants the easiest way out. The home system is not encouraging too. Why go to India when you can invest in some college students at home. I knew an Indian guy who had 15 years Oracle experience on his resume and couldn't figure out how to login to a dbase.

It is not too late guys, nairalanders can lead the way! Happy Thxgiving
TV/MoviesRe: Cost Of Making A Music Video? by Panache(m): 6:32pm On Nov 21, 2007
I think HDV is the in thing now. Using a 35mm is a misplaced priority. YOu can easily rent an HDV camera for 10k a day. The shooting of the video is not as important as the cooking, saucing and baking of it. By the time, the video is cooked you won't believe how the environ will look. We just shot 2 videos for one of our artistes and it cost N250k and N800k respectively.
TravelRe: US Visa Lottery: Is It Genuine? by Panache(m): 4:13pm On Nov 19, 2007
It's very real. I know a lot of people who migrated through the DV lottery. However, it doesn't worth it if you have a good job in Nigeria e.g. making about $30,000 and you are over 40 years old. For guys who are unemployed, it's worth trying.

FoodRe: Mr Biggs' Fried Rice by Panache(m): 7:11pm On Oct 26, 2007
Mr Biggs, lost it all after they opened some outlets and left it for greedy hustlers to man. When I was in Lagos in May, despite my sister's effort I went to the one by Beesam (Local Airport Area) to remember way back, when Mr. Biggs was the bomb. Allah, u need to see how bad the rice and chicken tasted. On the other hand, I ate at another one in Minna, Niger state and it was nice. So watch out!
TV/MoviesRe: Yoruba Actors And Actresses In Nollywood Are Better? by Panache(m): 4:36pm On Oct 18, 2007
I'm not a Yoruba guy, but the truth is that the Yoruba actors and actresses seems to be more professional than the so-called English acts. I'm a professional movie critics and I get tired of watching a Nollywood English movie because I'm tired of straining my eyes to hear my fellow countrymen and women talking. Sometimes it seems like a jam of Haitian/Jamaican born in NYC, raised in England schooling in T & T. They just mess everything up with their "fone"

AutosRe: My Anti-theft Cd Player In Honda Bulldog by Panache(m): 8:53pm On Oct 12, 2007
If you can't find it in the glove compartment as recommended by Sultaan, then check your manual if you have one to see if the code is there. Otherwise, remove the CD player and write down the serial# from the back of the unit. Paste it on this site, with the year and model of your car and I will call a US dealer for you.
