Blame it on government policies.Frequency license alone for 3G is about N140m for Lagos (tier 1). |
Inline with what Wallie said,it will be ideal if you can post your requirements. It will also help you to measure the effectiveness of your app. |
saddik:I don't know what you want to track/store but basically the following are ideal fields for table "Mosque Members": FirstName SurName DOB(Day,Month,Year) Sex Home Address City State Pry PhoneNumber Secondary PhoneNumber MosqueID (primary key - unique). You can add another table "Contributions".Add fields showing donation for month e.g Jan and link the MosqueID of the donator with that of MosqueID in the Meber table. That way you can query donations based matching mosqueID. If you want to make it a web application, you can use WAMP(Windows Apache MySQL Php). You can down a free one at http://www.wampserver.com/en/.I have an ebook that I can share with you, but the file is about 14MB.I can email it to you if you contact me. Feel free to let me know if I can be of further assistance. |

I'm not regreting my investment in Transcorp at all.Afterall they have other investment other than NITEL.The truth is that the FGN needs to hands off private entities,in order to encourage Nigerians in Diaspora to invest in the volatile Nigerian market. |
North American Airlines to Discontinue International Scheduled Service to Lagos, Accra and Georgetown Will Redeploy Aircraft into Charter Market JAMAICA, N.Y. (Feb. 19, 2008) – North American Airlines today announced that it will discontinue scheduled service between the United States and the cities of Lagos, Nigeria; Accra, Ghana; and Georgetown, Guyana. All flights in these markets will be completed by May 20, 2008. “North American has a long history of serving the New York-Guyana market, and we were the first U.S. airline in decades to fly non-stop service from the United States to sub-Saharan Africa,” said Rob Binns, Chief Commercial and Planning Officer. “We have been pleased that all of these markets have performed on a revenue basis as we anticipated. What now makes these markets untenable is the rising cost of fuel. We have seen our jet fuel costs increase 60 percent since we entered the Africa markets in 2005. “This was a difficult decision, especially in light of the continuing support we have received from the governments and the traveling public in our Africa markets,” Binns said. “We also have had excellent customer response to our nonstop service between Georgetown and John F. Kennedy International Airport since its inception in 1999, and we regret that economic conditions now force us to bring these flights to an end.” All customers currently booked on discontinued North American flights will receive a refund for the unused portion of their reservation or may opt to travel on an earlier date. For questions and refunds, contact North American at 1-800-359-6222. In Accra, customers may call 21-911086; in Lagos they may call 271-6380 and in Georgetown, the local phone number is 227-5805. Additional information can also be found on http://www.flynaa.com/. "North American's modern Boeing 757/767 fleet is in high demand and we will redeploy these aircraft profitably in the charter market," Binns said. North American Airlines, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Global Aero Logistics Inc., is a U.S.-certificated air carrier offering air transportation services throughout the world for the U.S. military and commercial customers. Founded in 1989, North American operates a fleet of 10 passenger aircraft. MEDIA CONTACT: Steve Forsyth 770-632-8322 |

A visa at any embassy is just an evident that you are allowed to enter a country. The country's representative at the point of entry usually determines how long you can stay in that country. For example, on entry the immigration officer at the point of entry can approve 3 or 6 months stay. |
A coalition of Nigerian residents in SouthEastern USA are gathering information on the quality of the new Delta's direct flight from Atlanta to Lagos. Landers, I will appreciate if you can post your experieince on the Atlanta to Lagos flight. Your feedback will be used as part of discussions with Delta Airline on how to improve their service. |

I normally offload my container at home. It cost about N25K (including the add-ons by my reps ). If you are doing it by yourself, you can hire the guys from the port and they will offload the cointainer for you. Best of luck. |
Jagunlabi, you do know this stuff. Good talk. |
Realpoint:Isuzu Rodeo or Trooper are not expensive and very tough and suitable for Nigeria roads. They are more rigid than the Honda CR-V. I won't recommend a Cherokee Jeep for use in Nigeria, except if you have someone that can help you with ordering parts from offshore, when the need arises. An Isuzu Rodeo or Trooper (2000-2001) will cost you at most N1.2m and N1.5m respectively. As for me, I prefer the Nissan Pathfinder or Infiniti QX4. Let me know if I can be of further assistance. |
Solakotan, I have a 2000 Odyssey with about 65000 miles for sale. Clean. Arrived Lagos in late November. See picture http://autoafrik.com/details.php?id=10. You can call Biola @ 08056013843 to inspect van. Price is very negotiable. Need the money to clear some new arrivals. |
A 2001 Camry with 110000 (176000km) should sell for less than 1.5 million naira. Assuming it has the 4 cylinder engine, then, the engine has already passed the midpoint of its life span. A 2000 or 2001 Camry with less than 60000 miles will definitely merit the price of 1.5M but not a car with over 100000 miles.
I'm glad you sold it! =N=1.5 million is a fair deal considering all the options and additional cost. M_nwanko, I will suggest you search ebay or autotrader and see what the Camry is going for. These things are hot-cakes, I had one that is similar to this and it sold for 1.55, after a week in Lagos. The regualr one without leather is going for 1.4. There is more to a car than the mileage. I have a 97 Toyota Avalon with 201000 miles, and I won't trade it for anything. I use it for my runs on weekends and the transmission is still pretty smooth. What matters is how you take care of your baby:good gas(petrol), oil, service etc. For the records - the demand for Camry in Nigeria has caused a scarcity at Us auctions especialy the 2000-2001. |
