Foreign Affairs › 20 Priests Kidnapped In Nigeria’s ‘systemic’ Terror Attacks – Vatican News by panafrican(op): 2:10pm On Aug 04, 2022 |
The “Allahu akbar” terrorists of Nigeria are begging for a crusade. They might get it once for all. You cannot keep kidnapping innocent people, killing priests and think this will not get any response. The recent murder of Father John Mark Cheitnum in Kaduna is the latest in what has been described as a systemic terrorist attacks against Christians, especially against Catholic priests, across Nigeria.
Senator from Shehu Sani from Kaduna, who is also a human rights activist, described the killings as a systemic phenomenon. He said “the killing of Catholic priests in Kaduna, North-West Nigeria by terrorists has become systemic.”
At least 20 priests have been kidnapped in Nigeria since the beginning of 2022, five in the first week of July alone, according to Vatican News.
Father John Mark Cheitnum and Father Donatus Cleopas are the latest victims, kidnapped July 15 while travelling between parishes.
Father Cheitnum was murdered on the day of his abduction and his already decomposing corpse was discovered on July 19. Father Cleopas was able to escape from his abductors and has returned home, according to a statement from the Diocese of Kafanchan to which the two priests belong.
Both priests were kidnapped shortly after they arrived at the parish rectory of Christ the King Parish, Yadin Garu, Kaduna State. Father Cheitnum was Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Jama’a Local Government area, as well as the Coordinating Chairman of CAN, Southern Kaduna. Who Will Save These Dying Italian Towns?
Near-empty villages try to hold on to an endangered way of life — and some of the country’s most important artisanal traditions.
By Deborah Needleman The New York Times Sept. 7, 2017
THE FIRST THING that must be said about the ancient town of Civita di Bagnoregio, just two hours away from Rome and Florence, is that it is beautiful. From a distance, it looks literally otherworldly: The town sits so high atop a perilously steep pinnacle of eroding volcanic rock that it seems as if it’s perched upon clouds rather than tethered to the earth. Its very sediment is strafed with 2,500 years of architectural history: Etruscan caves, ancient remains, medieval dwellings and Renaissance villas.
Originally a center along ancient trade routes, Civita di Bagnoregio was prosperous from Roman times through the late Middle Ages. But after a devastating earthquake in 1695, most residents fled for lower ground, and so began the city’s long decline. By the end of World War II, nearly all of its inhabitants had left in search of work in cities or abroad. For the last half century, its population has hovered around 10 or so full-time residents. bn365: Poland does not agree to share gas with other countries of the European Union, said Anna Moskva, Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland. “Our vaults, as you know, are already full at the moment. We have secure deliveries. All needs are met, unlike the 11 countries of the European Union, which have already introduced restrictions today,” You don;t want to share gas with other European countries but you still fuel the war and push for more sanctions on Russia when those sanctions are destroying European's life standards. That is evil. |

SUFFERInSMILIIN: The European Union has just side massive gas deals with Egypt Mauritania Mozambique Ghana Angola Tanzania and Senegal. Nigeria was not included because Nigeria is not a serious country especially when it comes to production and also Nigeria cannot keep long-term gas commitments we saw what happened to P&IG This is YOUR OWN opinion which does not reflect the underlying reasons. Those reasons include but are not limited to 1. NO-one wants to see a BIG African country like Nigeria become a a strong economy that threaten France and UK influence in Africa, south of the Sahara. 2. The same who " refused " to include Nigeria in the deal were the same who implicitly supported Boko Haram and decided NOT to sell weapons to Nigeria when terrorism was threatening the country. |

Having answered this questions, remember any currency will lose its value when it is too scarce to obtain or own and also when it is too available. Those equivalences had tricky pitfalls for instance , they was a time $ 1 = 1 Gourde ( Currency in Haiti ). Still the people of Haiti were poor. When your economy is not strong and your currency is overvalued , there is high probability of seeing investors running away from you. |
