all4naija: PPP is better indicator for per capital as income earner not for the total country progress and size. Nobody will use that to define any country economic progress. Lol...Hahahah, foreign companies will only come into your country if the are convinced that the is a market that can consume their product. PPP is a good indicator for that. It's true that Nigeria is moving just like SA is moving. The difference is that SA is focusing on sustainable growth(building infrastructure, educating the population, etc) and not creative accounting like Nigeria. |
all4naija: Where are you getting that idea from that India economy is larger than all countries in Europe? I can't seem to understand where you are headed with such bogus information. Indeed, Germany, France,UK,etc economies are larger than India's economy. Bwahaha... Forget about standard of living. It will get into place as soon as the economy advances. Hahaha...My bad, I should've mentioned that I'm using the GDP PPP and not nominal. PPP in my view is a better indicator. |
all4naija: Isn't it refreshing to have egos? It is like saying don't feel proud when you are talented. Yet, South Africans will mouth over their development to Nigerians in this forum all day long. You must be thinking by now you wish your country will remain the top economy in Africa. That has become a pipe dream for SA now. Bwahaha...India's economy is bigger than all countries in Europe but people in Europe consider themselves better than people in India. Same will happen with SA/Naija, You guys might one day have a bigger economy but our standard of living will always be higher and so we will continue to consider ourselves better. |
scipher: With great achievements and a world powerThe problem is that Nigeria has not as yet made any organic achievement recognisable by the world. Juggling economic numbers to make yourselves appear successful is not going to really impress anyone. |
all4naija: There is no problem with that. It makes us Africa's superpower. You are envying Nigeria, man! You guys can be the African power, we don't give a damn. SA has long accepted that Nigeria will one day surpass SA in terms of size of economy but as many economic analyst have said: all it will do is blow up your already inflated egos. |
all4naija: Do you mean just the way Zulus see Nigerians as African Americans? No it's only the Igbo in you that makes you think that. |
The way I see it is that Nigeria will just be the African version of India: a rich country that is filled with poor people. |
Moratiwa: Woolworths is a top class department store and would never work in a lower middle income country like Nigeria which is why lower class stores like Shoprite arw thriving in your country, there is no demand for luxury goods. You can beat your chest all you want but according to Worldbank data,Nigeria has no development. But Shoprite is considered high-end by Nigerians. |
lol sorry I wrote that in swati yazi.. Unjan kodwa
But Swatis don't know how to pronounce "z" they replace it with a "t". |
all4naija: Hillbrow is far better than the squalor of your Townships where you possibly celebrated yours.Happy new year to you too. Did fireworks light up the dark nights of Lagos? |
HumbledbYGrace: Happy new year brothers and sisters, m off to sleep in 2014.Everything went well, I'm ready for this year. Why did you sleep? You should've been celebrating the new year with Naijas in Hilbrow. They celebrate by chucking household appliances and furniture out the window of their dilapidated highrise homes in hillbrow instead of lighting off fireworks. Apparently it was voted the most coolest way to welcome the new year by a world body. |
all4naija: I never said you're all lazy but you go to the pub to drink 'STARLITE' beers early in the morning and go to the streets to make noise. That is not good of any citizen of any country. You guys can reengineer the numbers however much you wish, it will not change the fact that your economic output is weak even with the gigantic population. As things stand 50 million lazy people create more value than 150 - 200 million "industrious" people. Industrious meaning "glorified sales persons". You don't manufacture much, you don't build much. All you do is buy and sell value created by others. |
all4naija: Lol... @ masters of self-deception. That is a typical example of black South Africans. They would go to the pub to drink 'Starlite beers' early in the morning and go to the street to mouth about the country's development when they haven't contributed anything good to the society. What more is about self-deception than that? South Africans are as good as loud-mouthing as Nigerians. That is a complete fact!Yes we are lazy, we just sit down and do nothing but drink all day. That's why our economy is bigger than yours. You guys should copy us. I also want to write about alleged bad service at an airport that was upgraded by lazy people in preparation for the world cup. Nevermind the lazy people who run the airport. |
all4naija: Yin,yinyinyinyin! That is my favorite Chinese words I have heard on the movies, I guess. The truth is that if Nigerians don't have the swags as I can deduce from your statement. Why are South African mamas so much interested in us?! Why do you feel threatened by our very presence in SA? For the fact that we have the richest black people on the planet speaks volume of what I am talking about. Please, don't get jealous of the Nigerians carrying this atmosphere of superiority around in your country. It is just in our blood and it can't be bought. If you keep on jealous perhaps you'll keep having frequent cardiac arrest. Hahaha...Y'all are masters of Self- deception, you convince yourselves that South Africans hate you but at the same time the SA women love you. Anyway, why would a South African be envious of a person who flees his own country? Most Nigerians who come here don't experience any hate. The problem is that Naijas come here expecting to get some hate which creates a self- fulfilling prophecy for the unlucky ones. |
Nigerians are the biggest whingers on this planet. We all know that most of them are all talk no lawful action. |
morpheus24: and the war continuesIt think your one dimensional outlook will expand a bit if you watch the full series by Ross Kemp on gangs(SA has an episode). You'll find some of the episodes on youtube. Once you are done with that you should watch some documentaries by Louis theroux, particularly Law and Disorder in Johannesburg and Law and Disorder in Lagos. Once done please come back to me I'll give more recommendations. One is about rape videos in Naija varsities, graphic and horrific stuff. Pots and kettles are black bro. iconize: SUMMARY FOR 2013 THUS FAR; HATE-CRIME MURDERS OF WHITES and OTHER MINORITY-SOUTH AFRICANS BY BLACK PERPETRATORS ACCOMPANIED BY EXCESSIVE VIOLENCE, TORTURE AND MUTILATIONStormfront material. Red flag! Red flag! They are killing us. Yes it's just a few hundred but still they are killing us. I know that over 15 000 blacks were murdered last year from the official crime stats but that's besides the point. What matters is that a couple of hundred whites got killed and that's wrong - so wrong. Who cares if 15 000 black people get killed? They don't matter. What matters is that minorities are being "targeted" and that's wrong - it's genocide. I went to the homepage of the website your sourced and I laughed at "BOER NATION GENOCIDE TRACKER", some whites in this country truly believe that we are on a mission to wipe them out but the rate at which it's happening should at least give them hope. I mean killing a couple of hundred white people a year would require about 10 000 years of killing to wipe them out(there are 4,5 million of them). I think that those stats are irrelevant, crime in SA is caused by the high inequality. When there's lots of haves and lots of haves-not in one place there will be plenty of crime, it's not race specific. |
Yes, people in this forum should stop thinking that South Africa is made up of Zulus only. This should help http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Languages_of_South_Africa |
Instead of flirting in the romance section, HumbledbYGrace and chris_villa have hitched in foreign affairs. I wish you two luck though and merry christmas |
reetasexy: When i think of an holiday destination, south africa is the last place i think about.i hate it with a passion, anything sa pisses me alot.their arrogance and xenophobic mentality. The annoying part is that the lazy blacks are the ones showing this characteristics...Good, stay far away from us. |
reetasexy: no ...what cracks me up is you being a slave in your own land. singing *apartheid is coming..... tomorrow* no matter the number of mandela statue you erect in your cities.I'm a happy slave. |
ZDee calling you peeps Nigger-areans cracked me up. Hahahahahahahahahaha |
Hahahahahahahahaha BCraig is on fire. Moffie I say give up. |
all4naija: Give me South Africa without white people, I will go there as a Nigerian and recolonize them . That is for sure!Hahahahahahahaha But why do you continue to forget that you were colonised by the Brits? |
xtervaganza: Wait a minute, are south Africans on this thread? I mean they really registered on a Nigerian website ? Are these guys obsessed with us or something. I'll never join a south African forumAny South African who comes across a thread on the internet that bashes South Africa will feel compelled to register on the forum so as to defend the homeland. That's how many of us landed on this forum: we were surfing the interwebs and come across a thread that was discussing our country. Surely we are allowed to comment on any discussion about our country regardless of where that discussion happens. |
There we go again. |
speedyboi: your wretched self might have nothing to loose....but south africans that matter like the odes who own mtn, shoprite, dstv etc will be very bothered.MTN, Shoprite etc, have all got back the money they invested in Nigeria. All they are doing now is collecting profit and shipping it back to South Africa. If South Africa vanishes the world leaders will congregate once again at short notice to mourn. Jonathan will be in attendance but will not be given the platform to speak. |
BCraig: Initially, I thought he was smart. But there's no one in the lighthouse. He used to be a smart guy but something terrible has happened to his thought processing. |

Paniki how's the view from your side?
No wonder!
