For example “Baleba progressive passes is low so that means he not good enough”. Baleba's job for Brighton isn't actually to progress the ball forward; quite often, it's to be the person receiving the ball in advanced positions. That doesn’t mean Baleba can’t progress the ball, what he does or what he is being ask to do is different.

Understanding what a player does in relation to stats, gives proper context to the data. Data is only useful when it is turned into information.
