Just look at the way Ronaldo, Cavani and Bruno have been tearing defences apart with intelligent passes and runs.
Tearing defence? Isn't that overly exaggerated?

Conte to ManU is not a good idea If ManU board wants to build a team that will challenge for trophies without unnecessary issues, fallout and troubles.

Conte is problematic.

The only thing ManU fans will enjoy about him is his guts and audacity. He’ll bench Ronaldo, conte can’t work with a lazy striker.
Just like the way Conte benched Costa abi?

I'm going through United's board of directors any there is none with an actual football brain. Well you don't need to have football brain to be a board member but when you look at those people there, half of them are Glazers and they understand nothing about football. Na why dem still dey debate whether to sack Ole or not. All these Nitrogen people sha.

3 things.

1) A mob is only as intelligent as it’s stupidest person.

2) A vocal minority trumps a silent majority

3) Peer pressure is a thing

My friend has had a season’s ticket at the East Stand for about 10yrs now. He was there this weekend. He wants Amaka out. The people around him also want Amaka out. Most of those that walked out during the match want Amaka out.

Just happens that the most diehard and unrealistic/deluded section of any club’s fan base is usually also the most vocal section.
This is serious, herd mentality is a disease

I was not making a general assessment of Scholes. I was just pinpointing the specific prediction he made about being 4-0 down to Liverpool at half time.

On a more general level it is easy for everybody to pontificate about Neville, Rio, Scholes e.t.c.
99% of us would do the same if our close friend was going through the same issues. Even the suddenly wise Carragher would do the same if not worse if Gerrard or Hyppia was messing up as Liverpool manager.

Rather than focusing on pundits and ex-players who can't effect any real change we should focus on the owners who seem to have abdicated their duty.
Exactly, I don't know why fans want Neville or Rio to call out Ole, They aren't the custodian of United, their opinions shouldn't matter. I saw a clip on twitter; Ole was signing autographs for fans after an embarrassing defeat and the fans were singing his name, taking selfies with him. The standards have dropped badly.

One question please, are the fans in Old Trafford different from fans on social media, cos these guys still support Ole, what do they see in him?

Ole didn't start well last season but he steadied as the season progressed. If not for his madness too, he would have won the league. I'm not for or against him but if there's one thing he's shown in the past years in EPL is that he can give big teams real wahala

When people say Ronaldo don't press I find it funny in a way cos there are different ways to press. You don't have to chase opponents like a dog, you can cut off passing lanes. Ronaldo can do that quite well but then again you have a coach like Amaka on the bench.
This begs the question, when have we ever being a pressing team or did we even press consistently well before Ronaldo's arrival?

The culture is different in England. Passionate players are preferred to technical players. Xavi spoke about this in 2011 when he said Scholes was the greatest midfielder he had seen play in 20 years.

Meanwhile, in England Scholes didn’t get the love players like Gerrard or Gareth Barry had. English fans want to see enthusiasm, chasing the ball like a headless chicken. If Xavi was English, he would never have made it out of any academy. Scouts would have considered him too weak to be a midfielder.

Xavi was a possession god and when you peep some of his stats, it’s like we didn’t appreciate him enough and we gave too much credits to Messi/Ronaldo. Xavi should have won about 6 ballon d’Ors based on his talent alone.

How is this possible? 100% accuracy shocked shocked shocked
Rodri has similar stats too, I think 176 passes in a single match.

Too late for that. That kind of style can only be taught at academy level. Then you improve on it as a pro as you become more experienced.
Wow! What are those things Mcfred can work on and improve on with their current age.

There are levels to possession game and Xavi is at the peak. I am not surprised about this scanning stat cos I have mentioned it before.

When you watch him you see his head always moving in different directions every few seconds. The maestro was always taking snap shots of everybody’s position on the pitch so that whenever he was pressed he had passing options.

He is the only person I know that was averaging over 90 passes per game AND over 90 % pass accuracy for entire seasons.
Xavi scans a lot, he was at the heart of Barca's possession. Amaka, Fred and ghostimonay should watch him and learn from him.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Panther7(m): 10:31am On Oct 18, 2021

Xavi would impregnate all of them. Look at the other names on the list who scan less frequently than Xavi, markers couldn’t touch them too.

KDB or Gundogan for example. They were running riots against the likes of Kante or Wijnaldum and they have less awareness than Xavi. Xavi is too crafty - small but mighty.

People thought midgets like him couldn’t run a midfield because of the size. The likes of Edmilson, Vieira, Van Bommel and other human mountains were preferred for combative football. Xavi changed that notion for ever with his high level appreciation of time and space.
Fair point, I don't appreciate physical midfielders, I prefer technical and intelligent ones e.g KDB.
United don't have these types of midfielders that's why we struggle at times.
Xavi will be a great coach, his understanding of the game is magnificent, I learnt a lot from his coach's voice interview. How he broke down the possession concept is interesting. That's what we except from Amaka but baba go dey talk about DNA and passion.

My God, Xavi is the god of midfielders.

Of all players some research groups have filmed in the past 20+ years, Xavi Hernández is the one with the highest average scanning frequency in a full game (measured last 10 seconds before receiving the ball):

For those who don’t know, a scan was operationally defined as a player’s active head movement where the face (and hence, the eyes) is temporarily directed away from the ball, with the assumed intention of gathering information about teammates and/or opponents, to prepare for subsequently engaging with the ball.

Xavi’s head is always moving to check his environment before receiving the ball. No wonder United players were chasing shadows in 2009 CL final. We couldn’t get close to him. Fergie said it’s like he had eyes behind his head. If you think you have closed Xavi down, he just turns to the other direction he had scanned before receiving the ball and eludes his marker.

McFred in a million years can’t attain this level of awareness.
I read that article, it was very interesting but I have my reservations sha. I want to see how Xavi would have perform in this age where pressing is more relevant. (High press). Against the likes of Liverpool or City let's see how scanning will help him.

I don't get it? We lost today because our team is badly coached and our setup is terrible but some people are using this to drive a Mcfred narrative.
We conceded 2 goals from set pieces, Maguire's mistake but Mcfred would have prevented the goal right?
