Just read that Woodward the CEO, Matt Judge the transfer boss/head of corporate development, and Richard Arnold the Group MD all went to university together.

So what you have is a group of 6 to 7 people (including the active Glazers) all of them with zero prior experience in football and probably zero prior interest in football as well.

They are all money men ( businessmen, bankers, accountants) who are interested solely in the books and have no idea how to go about the football side of things. This is why the decision making at the club is so poor in terms of footballing matters.

Any reasonable owner would have either taken Woodward completely off the football part of the decisions by now and/or sacked his campus friends.
The Glazers are complicit in this not only because they allowed the squad to be weakened in previous years but because they allowed these inept people to continue running (or ruining) our transfers and contract negotiations.
