Actually I will advice you do, normally it is not needed, but given the Covid-19 pandemic, they might ask for it at the Nig airport. Better to have it and you are not asked at the airport than to be asked and you don't have it.

It is actually not needed except you're traveling to other African countries.

Just to clarify, that means you didn't go back to qlife to pick up medicals?

Just the sealed package and your passport?

Yes sir. I didnt go back! However, I didnt use QLIFE. I used IOM in Abuja. I think people that used Qlife are in a better position to answer ur question

Bro thanks for your earlier response, another question. Did you go back to qlife to collect medical report before you travelled or you just went with the sealed packet from the embassy.

Please anyone else can answer me asap.
Thanks

I went with the sealed package from embassy

Zero issues. I presented my passport and the package to the immigration guy. After that, he took my fingerprints and referred me to someone else. I waited for some minutes until it was my turn, then the new guy asked for my address in the US. I told him my address, and he said we should get married before the visa expires. After that, he gave me my passport and i went on to check in for my connecting flight!

I tried my best o! I have paid but they are slow and the heat in Nigeria just too much. So I run lol

My bro just heed his advice immigration rules are changing, for graduates in the house if you are coming in kindly come along with your certificates and have your transcripts arranged to be sent down as its part of the important documents one must have before you can file for adjustment of status,it must be evaluated by WES(World Education Services) &sent to USCIS over here..... am in a fix /putting calls of how to get my three certifications down heard it was made compulsory effect feb 24th alongside the ban... anyone read about this too ?

When I said I was putting things in place, this is exactly wat I meant. I’m working on getting my transcripts sent to WES for evaluation. In my school, it’s compulsory to come in person to request for transcripts. When I’m done, ill join you guys

That's true. But don't wanna make her feel like I am marrying her cos I want to come there. Besides, she agrees to be coming here every six months or once a year depending on the situation until the ban is lifted.

I will review the option with her and settle for the best one.

Well, at this point you have to define what you want! I did distance with my fiancé for one year and it’s been really hard! You want to move to America so tell her in your own way. Just be matured and careful! Abi you no wan go Yankee?

The fastest and surest way to be with your fiancé right now is the k-1 route! Have a good day mate

We are getting married next month and she has not filed for any visa for me yet.

Do you think it is lawful to file for fiance visa even after marriage.

She was talking about fighting it using a lawyer since she is a citizen and work for the government. Don't know if that even possible lol.

Bro, don’t complicate matters! You will be under the ban if you choose the spousal route, unless you’re willing to possibly wait for another 4 and half years to re-unite with your wife. Put a hold on the wedding, or do traditional introduction and file for k—1 visa. The process takes less time. Mine took 7 months. Mind you, you won’t be eligible for K1 visa if you do anything like court or white wedding!. The ball is in your court.

The ban affects immigrant visa only. Since Spousal visa is in the category of immigrant visa, automatically it affects it.

We can only wait for the ban to be lifted soon. I think I am in the same shoes with you as I will be getting married to my fiance next month.

Have u already applied for spousal vis? If you haven’t, I suggest you file for Fiancé visa because the ban doesn’t affect it

Its ok. And yes, i will surely go yo yhe high court when im ready and make sure i get the cert from them at all cost but thats when im ready.
Im not even at rush and thats why im gathering the needed information towards when im ready
One of my problem is that i wish to go for the spousal visa but she is a nurse and cant afford to come here twice but once. From some info, they said for spousal visa, she has to visit atleast twice, so this is a blow to me

There’s an ongoing ban on spousal visa,so it makes more sense to file for K-1. I wish you the very best bro

Seriously i felt bad with ypur previous response after ive told you that i did traditional wedding and blessed with kid but i couldnt continue with my ex yet.

Anyways, i spoke with one woman at ikoyi registry and she said it wont be necessary to do high court since its not white wedding but with the deny to the customary divorced judgement, i will make sure i get that of high court judgement

As to how to go about it, i dont know because ive not done it before or had anyone done it before, so im planning of going to high court and explain myself then follow their instruction but im open to your advise

My apologies for my earlier response! It’s just that I’ve read about many cases of people that put married on B1/B2 applications and later say they are single after filing for K-1, without any proof of dissolution of marriage! Those embassy guys have no chill cus Naija is a high fraud region. Anything that seems like a red flag will likely lead to denial, thus it is important to do your homework properly! Your case is genuine but it still seems dicey! Go to the court and confirm how to go about it! And keep us updated; it is of utmost importance that you don’t present any misleading document to the Embassy.

Yh, I read on Vj that if you smoke weed it’s a one year ban, then you will redo your Medicals to prove you aren’t smoking again but this was another country I don’t know if they will give anyone that chance in Nigeria.

Just don’t smoke weed LOL

Yessoh! Some guys like to smart! They better heed my warning and abstain LOL! This goes for the girls too! Another important thing, when the doctor asks you during medical whether you smoke weed, shisha or any hard drug! You must say NO! If you go and accept that you smoke weed, just kiss goodbye to your visa!
Travel / Re: USA Fiancee (K1) Visa Thread by paosca20: 8:36pm On Feb 26, 2020
This group is now active! Thank God the ban doesn’t affect k-1! Y’all shouldn’t get over excited because you’ve not crossed the finish line yet! Be humble and prepare form your interview! I can assure you that you’ll be extremely nervous on the morning of the interview For those of you filling your DS-160, make sure everything you fill tallies with what your fiancé stated on the I-129f petition. Don’t contradict anything, and for guys, don’t go and sleep with any girl without CD oo! If Gono catch you before medical day, na OYO o! Enjoy guys

Me, I’m just stress-free for now! Passport with k-1 visa is cooling in my wardrope

Bro, this is what i mean. Let me use myself as example, in my last B1/B2 interview appearance, thats 2years ago, i filled in my DS-160 that im married but to a Nigerian.
Now, ive met a new love from US after i and my nigerian wife has gone our separate ways 6months ago
So, my question is, if i apply for K1 visa with a divorce certificate of my Nigerian ex, will i be denied?

Oga, if you’re thinking of presenting a fake divorce certificate, you’re only gonna cause more problems for yourself! If you lied that you were married, just continue with your lie and forget about K-1 visa!
