The Premier League club have confirmed the striker will move to Stamford Bridge after paying his buy-out clause, with a deal costing up to £75 million including fees and salary Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid after meeting the Spain international's buy-out clause, the Premier League club have confirmed. As reported by Goal in early May, the striker's move to Stamford Bridge was tied up following Chelsea's Champions League semi-final exit to Atleti - with the Blues paying around £35 million including agent's fees. The Brazil-born Spain international will also triple his wages at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea to hand the 25-year-old a five-year contract worth £150,000 a week. The move has long been mooted, with Costa himself confirming the agreement exclusively to Goal in June : "Why would I have chosen to play for Chelsea? It is a thing that is about to happen. "Things are going in a direction and, if they keep going as they are going, it is the team I will play for in the next season. "I've wanted to play in the Premier League for a while. Chelsea are one of the greatest clubs of the world so there are many factors that make you take a decision like this." Costa becomes Chelsea's second signing of the summer following the capture of Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona, with Jose Mourinho also pursuing Juventus and France star Paul Pogba in a potential deal worth £60m. www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892/transfer-zone/2014/07/01/4928845/official-chelsea-agree-diego-costa-deal |

Good evening guys. Graciäs to you all for the participation cum contributions thus far. In lieu of this, our attention is turned to the second item in the quoted. While awaiting the posts of others we can start the collation which is expected to be at the homepage of this thread. Collation will start unfailingly tomorrow and we expect the item three to take place during the weekend preferably a day between Friday and Saturday. Let's have your opinion on that. The group tag dicussion is still open for discussion. Let's suggest a befitting tag. While doing all these, let's endeavour to continue creating the awareness and we should not hesitate to air our opinions. All is geared towards making this a success. "Collective effort is what makes a society, solitary effort could only stir interests"- that man (lol). PS:Further amendment of steps or rescheduliing of events may be done based on the conscensus reached or in case where adequate numbers are not met. Thanks papindinho: To achieve this, the following steps are to be collectively taken: |

FrancisTony: The problem is salary.the pay-check is still a crucial motivating part of being gainfully employed yet we will still have dissatisfied workers amidst lucrative pays |
FrancisTony: It should be corruption. Most of the teachers we have in Nigeria don't have the zeal to teach. They took teaching as an alternative to survive since they couldn't get a good job in a field they were trained on. Teachers are not paid well in this our country. So, you don't expect someone who has passion for it but got a lucrative job waiting for him/her to accept the profession of teaching.yet we have to trace that to their employers. Do we say their employer (government) has no good screening system? Or we say they leave the teachers to do what they feel like after recruitment? Teachers are humans so we should expect some evasive scented behaviours from them. |
kevoh: One does not even know who to blame anymore? It is really pathetic!Exactly bro. Do we blame it on the government as a result of the poor handling of the educational sector? Or the students for being way too lazy to do their primary assignments? Or laxity among teachers which paints them as a dissatisfied workforce? Or we blame corruption that has eaten deep to the fabric of our dear nation? Urrgh! |
oluyemisee: ...And you refused to help the girl/boy that asked you to pls help.you are not a good nigerian.lolhahahaha....... |
where do we go from here? The ship of country keeps sinking at every minute with the government unresponsive to the immediate revamp of most of the sectors that make a country. |
