I'm always surprised when, rather than focusing on the bigger picture, we dwell on the irrelevants. Meanwhile, it's democracy and everyone has equal voting rights. The 'mumu tribe' voted overwhelmingly for other Yoruba sons in 1993, 99 and 2003. They became a mumu tribe and your problem when they didn't vote Buhari and APC in 2015, 2019 and 2023 even though they had equally rejected Buhari and APC in prior elections inspite of the former having their sons as his deputies.

Instead of casting aspersions on an entire tribe because of the majority's political choice; why not look inwards and ask yourself. WHY?

I sent my wife to Australia in 2021 on student visa.

She has invited us, myself and our children aged 12 and 9 and our visa is out. I have also paid like 6 months fees for my children school which was a requirement for the visa.

Owing to her performance at her work place, the company she works for has promised to sponsor for PR. Infact, the process just began and we are sure of having the PR.

I am currently 48 and won't be able to support my family working in Nigeria. Wify has encouraged me that we will be fine that abroad is meant for 2 people.

My only constraint is my age, hence my question. If you are in my shoe, will you travel?

By the way, I work for a private firm here in Nigeria and you know what it is working for a family company.

Age is not a barrier, your mindset could be.

I'm about your age and made a similar move earlier this year, although with a slightly larger family composition.

See, with your work experience; you are good to go. One or two certifications on the side will be the icing on the cake.

We have just 1 tank of 3k litres. Bringing in tenants means we have to buy another tank but we don't have enough money for the renovations and the extra tank.

We either renovate, and rent out without connecting water. Tenants will have to fetch using the backyard tap. In that case rent will be 120.

Or we get a loan and buy a tank and connect. Then rent will be 180k.


What do we do?
