MANGAM:
The lost was too much to bear. But am back from mourning my dead melons
Eeyah, sorry MAGNAM. This attack looks like a fungi related type. Z-force spraying would have addressed it. Then, pls try a disease(anthracnose) resistant variety so as to avoid labour loss. Lastly, your soil, I hope it's well drained. I wish you all the best. You must bounce back pls. However, I will continue to update your thread, it will not die.

I think you may have to do some research about this @world1 before you utter such words to him, honestly you need to know him.His feat is far beyond online. Pls go to Lala village in Abeokuta and ask about him. When it comes to product packaging ,I was impressed when I got to his office last year and saw the settings in preparation for NAFDAC approval for one of his agricultural products. Don't just talk to people anyhow, so that you won't destroy your help channel. That guy world1 can take you to places in terms of agricultural based knowledge. Keep cool and make more friends rather than enemies. We are here to help each other. Don't be surprised if he refused to exchange words with you, he's a cool man to the core.

Pappyshoes.
See me see trouble o
I posted here that I can train on crop but this guy didn't read it. When I advice him the next thing is abuse. Well it so unfortunate that someone in this time and age still thinks learning is cheap.
Pls, refuse to be discouraged in showing the way. It is well.

They charge 20 to 25k, certificate inclusive & govt approved. They host people from home and abroad. Hope this helps.

Sutsillac:
Ok next question:
1. Frm ur experience, how much can u harvest frm a plot of land of 60ft x 120ft.
2. How much can u sell the said produce on the worst market season.
3. I believe the market is very lucrative cos I see d way Its usually rushed. so how do u sell it or price the melon (is it per bag, per dozen or per melon) And does size matter?
Thnks ince again

These will be transplanted by this weekend. By then, they would have developed secondary leaves. These are the Kaolack variety seedlings, 7day old.
I adopted this method (transplanting ) in order to beat the planting time expiration, though this weather/rain is becoming unpredictable.

The thread is going nice. We should remember we are here to help ourselves and not accuse one another. Please between F1 Koloss and Kaolack which one is bought most by customers. I ask because every business is for the customers, while you may breed a water melon that's large, if your customer don't like it then you might have wasted time and money satisfying yourself, not your customers!
Kaolack is the commonest, it's the light green type you usually see around. Your production depends on your target and your choice. The WM in this pic is Kaolack variety.
