Nigeria has refineries but it refused to use them and they keep doing TAM, all the Ministers of Petroleum under Buhari promised to get the refinery working, they gave us different dates, it never worked. NNPC promised us that the local refineries will work before 2023 and then we discovered that Dangote, a private company will be rescuing Nigeria. So Buhari made sure he commissioned it before he left because Dangote did not want a repeat of what happened under Yar DUA in 2007. The government did not hold anyone responsible for its failure, no one was punished and corruption kept running. The state refineries aren't working. Now let's go back to subsidy. Let's agree that Nigeria cannot meet its local demand due to corruption. Then the government granted some marketers license to import the product then it found out that these people were inflating prices, they were not importing what they said they would do, they cut corners and some of the importers are just on the list to collect government money, what do you do as a government? Say we will close this program because we cannot punish those who are taking advantage of the system? Sir, the government can tackle both if they want to. The corruption they allow makes it look like the problem is bigger than it is. Some analysts said Obi would not have the balls to deal with the cabal like Asiwaju has, please tell me, is he afraid to call their bluff? Are the refineries still working? Is he scared of them? Isn't he the same person who can remove a democratically elected governor but all of a sudden, will be scared of a so called cabal? They should tell that to the marines. Government is complicit in the issue. People can now see that subsidy itself was not entirely bad because it was a social contract. What was wrong was to cancel subsidy without appropriate replacement. We don't have local refineries producing and we still prefer to import. The corruption showed its hand when Dangote started refining. We didn't punish those who take our oil outside Nigeria to sell, we didn't punish those selling our unrefined crude and security personnel that could be complicit, it's ordinary Nigerians we said must be punished for the sin of a few. This is a poor post and another indication that the moderators are compromised Seun. This post provided no detail, it just said Abbott has revealed the outcome of the meeting and a video, which we know is the main reason it's on the front page. Lifestylecom:The topic says "We are waiting for Tinubu in 2027". Nothing in the post talks about that. A video that wants clicks and views through Nairaland. That itself is not entirely bad, but it's a poor job to just dump posts on us. There's another one that always says their videos are viral, which is not true. Seun look for a better super moderator to reign in the compromised mods. This post is in poor taste. |

If you are a couple, let this thread teach you to be careful of what will people say. You can see most comments are suspicious about the man and the woman. Outsiders damage your relationship more than you two. They poison your mind with what comes from their mind. Some of them may be true or not but it is very easy for them to spread weed in your garden. Instead of growing your flowers, you will spend your time watering weed. Roger3D:It's funny he predicted the future. PDP imploded when the G7 went into alliance with APC. G5 repeated the same thing in 2023. Atiku was the G1 in 2007 because of his desperation to be President. Today I hear that the opposition alliance has Saraki and Amaechi in their plan. Amaechi that just served this APC government and Saraki who served this APC government as SP, both were formerly PDP governors. I always post the video of Akpabio when he was in PDP.
