1) True Love is always open and honest, even when upset, BUT fake love plays games, hides their feelings and tries to manipulate the emotions of others to gain the upper hand. 2) True Love is self-sacrificing, BUT fake love only wants what it wants especially free sex, money and vanities. True Love lets go of hurts, BUT fake love harbours resentment, bitterness, gossips, unforgiveness and strife.9) True Love gives you the freedom, BUT fake love is controlling, policing, manipulative and accusative. 10) True Love listens BUT fake love only talks and will be angry if you don't believe the false promises. You should be sensitive enough to know when things are going wrong in your love relationship. It take a time to discern if it's true love or fake love, and never be afraid to back out! Scientists have warned that parents should never put their babies in car seats for more than 30 minutes to avoid the risk of suffocation. The doctors stated that very young babies whose neck muscles are weak, which is not strong enough to stop their heads flopping forward could stop breathing. The manufacturers of babies’ car seats warn that babies should not be left in the car seat for more than 2 hours, but doctors have called for that information to be updated to reflect expert medical discovery with regards to young babies. Dr. Peter Fleming, a pediatrician at Bristol University, carried out a research that indicates newborn babies may be at risk in car seats. He asserted that “if you can avoid a journey, it's probably better to do so, limited to no more than half an hour or so. But try to avoid excessive car journeys with young babies.” “There have been reports of deaths of infants who have been left in a sitting position, including in car seats - both on journeys, and when parents have used it as an alternative to a pushchair or cot for the infant to sleep in,” warn the research authors. Phlegm (also know as catarrh) is the thick viscous substance produced by the mucous membranes of the respiratory passages, especially when produced in large quantities during a cold. Our phlegm tells us a lot about our health status. The color of the phlegm of a healthy person should be white, so once it starts having different colors, there is a need for medical attention. A white phlegm with black spring-like stuff trapped inside it is actually not a health problem. It occurs when dust is trapped in the phlegm and not within the nose area. Normally if there is dust in your nose, when you sneeze, it comes out with the phlegm. In this case, the dust has gone beyond the nose and is trapped within the phlegm. The phlegm comes out like a smooth ball through the nose or the mouth without causing any discomfort. It is common among people who usually sneeze when they are around things they are allergic to. So if you often experience this, there is no cause for alarm. I hope this helps, stay healthy. Source: http://www.rapportnaija.com/2016/06/phlegm-with-black-like-spring-trapped.html |
Sorry to say this, some people can kill others or make them even want to throw up with their mouth odor. Is it that this people don't have nose to perceive their own breath or they are just heartless? It is normal for the mouth to smell during fasting but it is abnormal for the mouth to stink, they are two different things. In the midst of people, one innocent person will be breathing in and another person will just come and spoil the air with mouth odor, the person breathing in would have inhaled a lung full before the smell starts erupting from within. Its not fair and that's why I am here to help. How to prevent offensive mouth odor: 1. Brush your teeth with toothpaste and tooth brush after eating Sahur, remember to WASH YOUR TONGUE too. 2. Rinse your mouth with plenty of clean water and gaggle before you spit it out. 3. If possible, floss after eating. 4. Be conscious of the odor in your mouth before you talk if it's still there adjust your mouth when talking or stay far from the person you are talking to. 5. When washing your mouth during the day make sure the force of the water movement in your mouth is enough to reduce bad odor. Thank you. I hope this helps. Stay Healthy! EQ (Emotional quotient) is the capability of an individual to recognize, differentiate and show feelings and also to use emotional information to guide thinking and behavior. Having low EQ is when the ability to process emotions and feeling is low. It is a problem that mostly affect guys, especially guys with average - high IQ (Intelligent Quotient). There is a big difference between "Not having feelings for someone" and "Low EQ". While the former shows complete disgust when things get emotional, the latter worry about you, don't want you to get hurt and they panic when you complain even if they don't show it; if you know them well enough you will be able to decipher their feelings. How to know you are dealing with someone with low EQ. 1. They usually try to solve every problem with science or nature by giving explanations that have nothing to do with emotions. 2. They are not usually the type that calls or text every now and then. It's more like a habit and they hardly miss you because they are too busy to. 3. When they are around you, they show love and affection but when they are away, it's more like "out of sight is out of mind" 4. They usually use their brains more than they use their heart in judgment. They believe infatuation and falling head over heels for someone is meant for children and teenagers and choosing a life partner, on the other hand, is more like a task. 5. They lose interest in people easily and sometimes their feelings go on and off like a switch. 6. Guys like that have high IQ and are usually geniuses, they usually forget things regarding emotions easily which is basically not their fault because they are too occupied with their IQ. How to deal with people with low EQ. 1. Accept them for who they are, deal with them with maturity, not emotion. 2. Depending on the kind of relationship you have with them (parental, marital, dating and friendship) you have to accept the fact that they are now your responsibility. Without that, you might lose them totally. 3. Accepting your responsibility is a great task, more like you are saying you won't easily get angry with them. 4. Be understanding and caring regardless of what they do, make them feel like you are the only one who knows them well. They enjoy that and will be scared to loose you. It's more like winning them over. 5. Give them emotional distance when they need it. Every once in a while, they want people around them to be something different, someone more like them, with high IQ, so that they can share knowledge. 6. Expand your field of knowledge and challenge them. Know the things they don't and the ones they know, it makes them feel like they need you every now and then. 7. Let them miss you once in a while. Test if they still care, be careful not to do it for too long so they won't forget you exist. 8. You have to gain their trust and confidence, you have to be the best person that has ever happened to them, it is not easy but you have to try. 9. Find a hobby incase you have a fight with them. It will give you something to channel your anger into and give them the space they need. Read more: http://www.rapportnaija.com/2016/08/how-to-deal-with-people-with-low-eq.html |

Ladies, most times it is your fault that MEN go after other Girls including your House-Helps. Oh really? (you may want to ask) and am sure you can guess my answer…"Oh yes". Education and being Learned is so good: all of us have chosen to pursue that nowadays and it is beautiful. Those Degrees, Masters, PhDs are excellent. Being a Manager, CEO, and all those big career jobs are all amazing, but please at home, you have a Husband and Children, so be a Mother and a Wife. Do not take your work home. Stop letting your children sleep without seeing their Mom and you should not be comfortable with it. Cook for your Man and take care of him. I don't care if you are the CEO or a Manager or whatever it could be at the Office. At home, your Husband is the CEO or the Manager in this case. Respect him, love him and be submissive! And oh please, do not treat your husband the way your friend(s) treat theirs. Your husband is your husband not your friend(s) husband. Don't take your work stress home. Learn to balance off and manage your work/job without affecting the relationship with your husband and children. What happened to the virtuous woman of the Bible? The God fearing submissive ladies? Treat your Man well so you don't end up regretting Sweetheart. Good men are hard to find, and they are also hard to keep. When you find one that loves you, please learn to appreciate him. Take care of yourself. Keep yourself neat and attractive. Avoid coming back at 12 mid-night then sleeping with a stocking on your head. Seriously! Come on gal, you can do better than that. A man is not a Dettol Advert, if you don't take care of your man, someone else will. The common truth is: remember if you die today, your boss will replace you immediately but your Family and your love ones will always be there for you, so invest in them now. Nothing can replace you in the lives of those who love you, no matter how crumpled and broken you are, you remain of value to them! Do you know that you born more calories when you sleep than you do watching TV? Haa! I know you like to see Game of Thrones, Empire, and Power movie series, but the truth is sleeping is far more beneficial than watching TV. Watching TV burns around 85 calories per hour while sleeping burns around 95 calories per hour. Calculate how many calories you can burn by sleeping for at least 6-8hours, that would be more than 570 calories. When you watch TV, the function of your brain slows down- this can lead to health risks such as obesity. Whereas, when you sleep, your brain functions in a manner which is beneficial for your body and metabolism. So why not ditch the TV and hit your bed instead? Facts - Every hour you spend in front of the TV takes away 22 minutes of your life if you are older than 25 years. If you consider spending 6 hours a day watching TV, then your life could be reduced by 5 years. *scary huh? - According to scientists, watching TV on a daily basis produces the same effects on the body as inactivity, over eating and smoking (considering the fact that we often do these things when we watch TV). - Watching TV into late night affects sleep and reduces productivity the next day. - Couples who have TV in their bedroom have half less sex than couples who do not have TV in their bedroom. Quality time that should be used in bonding is used to watch TV. However, this does not mean that we should refuse to watch TV. What it simply mean is that we should sleep more than we watch TV, and for couples with TV in their bedroom- endeavor to set time to switch-off TV and keep to it. Avoid watching TV into late night. So watch less of Africa Magic Yoruba, Mexican sitcoms, Bollywood movies *winks* Source: http://www.rapportnaija.com/2016/05/watching-tv-reduces-life-by-22minutes.html |
Do you know that there are some words we use incorrectly and we don’t even know about it until today? Some of these words, you have used it incorrectly all your life that if you read about it now on this post, you would become embarrassed. These particular words actually mean the opposite of what we thought they mean to us, but they sound like they are not. Let’s look through these eleven words many of us might have been using incorrectly all our life and we have to get it right once and for all: 1. Bogus (adjective): This word does not mean “big or massive” or anything relating to size. It actually means “not genuine or true”, “illegal”, “counterfeit”, etc. Examples: i. Tammy delivered some bogus documents to back up his claim, but he ended up not been able to defend himself. ii. I didn’t pay him because that estimate was quite bogus. 2. Dupe (verb or noun): The way we use the noun form of this word is the problem. A person who dupes people is not someone who deceives or cheats people. A dupe is the real victim of deception. Do you understand? Examples: i. He was acting smart until he became the dupe. ii. When I realized I was a dupe, I wept uncontrollably. 3. Terrific (adjective): This word is not the synonym for the words “terrible” or “terrifying”, but it means “great”, “very good”, “tremendous”, etc. It formerly meant “to cause terror” in the old days. Examples: i. I had a terrific feeling at the audition. ii. He had a terrific performance at the dance competition. 4. Double date (noun)/double-date (verb): Many people believe this compound word simply means “infidelity” or “to have more than one love/date partner”. The actual meaning of this word is “a situation where two couples (say your friend and his/her love partner together with you and your love partner) go out on a date” or “to take part in such a date”. Examples: i. Tammy and Kenny are coming over to the bar, so it’s a double-date. ii. We have been friends with them for many years: we’ve even been double-dating since college. 5. Restive (adjective): If you think this word has anything to do with “resting”, then you’re wrong. It actually means the opposite of that. When one is restive, then he or she is “unable to stay calm or still” or “unwilling to be controlled”. Examples: i. She was so hurt that she remained restive throughout the party. ii. Let’s calm the restive ones before the issue escalates beyond control. 6. Talkative (adjective): I have also been using this word incorrectly. The word “talkative” isn’t a noun, so it is wrong to say Ibrahim is a talkative. It is an adjective which means “fond of talking a lot”. Examples: i. Curry is not very talkative. ii. She was so in a talkative mood the last time we met. 7. Impeach (verb): This word is one of the most used words in our political climate and in public service. In the US, to impeach someone means “to charge a public office holder to court for a serious crime”, such as fraud; while in British English, it means “to charge someone to court for treason or another heavy crime against the state”. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean the persons charged had been removed from office. This word can also mean to “to question the validity of a practice”. Examples: i. He was impeached for dereliction of duty. ii. The head of the department was impeached for not supporting the fight against corruption. iii. I think Nigerians should impeach the immunity clause for serving governors in Nigeria. 8. Blood money (noun): The money received from rituals after murdering someone? No! This term means “money paid to assassins to kill someone”, “money paid to the family of a murdered person”, or “money paid to someone who provided information about a killer”. Examples: i. Barack was a popular local informant who got rich through blood money. ii. Courtney received the blood money from the government. 9. Lousy (adjective): This word is often thought to mean “loud” or “noisy”, but it means “very bad”, “very poor’, “unpleasant”, etc. Examples: i. We had a lousy weekend. ii. Mr. Trump is such a lousy person. 10. Borrow (verb): This word should not have been included in this list, but its meaning remains unclear to some people. Borrow means “to take or receive something from someone and it is expected to be returned”. Borrow is to take, that is it has to come from someone or somewhere else. Examples: i. Can I borrow some money from you? ii. She borrowed my jacket but won’t return it – isn’t that unfair? 11. Lend: We all mix up this word with “borrow”. Lend means to “give out something to someone, which is expected to be to be returned”. The words ‘borrow’ and ‘lend’ are reciprocal pairs similar to give/take, teach/learn, open/close, etc. that shows both sides of a situation. Examples: I. I can’t lend you any more money. II. She begged me to lend him that jacket after he borrowed my bag. Never forget, borrow ‘comes in’, and lend ‘goes out’. You lend someone something by giving it to them; they borrow it by taking it. In conclusion, these are some popular eleven words we use incorrectly in our everyday conversation, but I hope they are all clear now. We should learn to get rid of common mistakes in our day-to-day use of the English Language. What do you think and which one do you use often? Hi fellow Nairalanders, Happy Sunday. Ramadan Kareem to all Muslim brothers and Sisters. A few days ago, I posted "10 Small Scale Businesses You Can Start With As Low As N5,000" here if you miss it: www.nairaland.com/3836651/10-small-scale-businesses-start And I promised to be back with ways you can make money online with skills you can easily acquire within 3-6months. These jobs can be performed from your home and deliver digitally, and you make quick money. Read below: -------------------------------------------------------------------- Do you know how to make online? Are you aware that there are ways to make money fast online? Yes, I mean the coolest, legit, and smartest ways to make money on the internet and social media - not international and local fraud/scamming (AKA Yahoo-Yahoo, 419). It's quite alarming that we Nigerian youths in this particular generation all want to be rich without hustling (legitimate hustle), we all just want to make something out of nothing. Many of us, at 28 years old haven't worked to earn any money in all of our life. I have seen kids who are just 14 years old sitting in Cyber Cafe and indulging in internet scams, carrying out petty crimes like pick-pocketing, local scams (419), robbery etc... and if unlucky, many ends up a criminal in the Police or EFCC dungeons. At 28, many of us still receive juicy pocket money from our parents and guardians. That get-money-and-blow-money-fast syndrome is so prevalent among us. Go to our campuses and see how most of us are worried about fitting in, getting acceptance from the in-crowd, yet only a few are creative with entrepreneurial sense. Where is the creativity? Creativity is just learning to do things with a different perspective. We can make 100s of excuses and rant about the poor state of our economy, but why should we always depend on the government? Why should we always depend on our rich parents, uncles, and aunties who's worked hard over the years? I know our Nigerian parents have got that my-pikin-no-go-suffer-like-me syndrome which makes them over protect and pamper us to the point where we become useless, but flexing around town because we got our parents money to throw around, oppressing salary earners. Open the door to talent and virtue, and they would do themselves justice! Ever thought of how we could use the internet and social media to our advantage is that we all sleep and wake up on the internet? Maybe you’re a young kid who wants to start a business or a university graduate who wants to create a job (rather than finding one), or perhaps you’re a corporate mouse who’s fed up with the rat race; you can make money on the internet. The internet has opened up a world of opportunities for the entrepreneurial-at-heart, and you don't even have to be a computer science graduate or a computer geek to engage in one. There are about more than 21 businesses that you can start today and efficiently run with just a laptop and an internet connection, even on your smart phones! I will name a few categories, and you can do your research on it. Millions of small businesses and blogs need their services. This is one surefire way to earn money online. There are a lot online colleges offering free classes online where you can learn to do all these yourself. there are also many physical tutorial colleges across the country. One of these citadel of learning is NIIT. Though, the training fee may look exorbitant, but I assure that you would reap all you spend quickly in the long run. 2- Graphics design- you can become a logo designer, web designer, computer-aided designer, book cover designer, mobile app designer, web theme designer, and videographer. This is another online making money sure job. If you have topnotch graphics design techniques, then you make money online. You can be designing cover or album arts for music artists. It could movies cover photos or book covers, to logos for businesses and so much more. You can find learning centres around the country to learn this for a reasonable amount. 3- Writing- This category deals with a lot of creativity, and this is where I am particularly sharpening my skill. Authors, copywriters, editors, transcribers, language translators and bloggers are highly needed. This is where I make my own money online. There are many freelance sites like Fiverr, Freelancer, UpWork etc. all looking for freelancers who can write. In Nigeria, there are many adverts in Nairaland's Writing Adverts sub-category looking for good writers. Some Nigerian writers charge for as much as 5 Naira per word, so if you write a 1,000 words article, you would have earned N5,000 - quick money! There are online courses that would teach you the basic way fro writing for the internet if you want to write for blogs. 4- Internet Marketing- Here, you can learn social media managing, affiliate marketing, search engine optimisation, search engine marketer, content marketing, and email marketing. Many firms are looking for people who can boost their companies in this field. This video is about an Igbo woman who sells Ogiri on the streets, and the unique thing about her is that she market her Ogiri (Fermented oil seeds) with a nice British accent. When I saw the video myself, I was like, maybe she once lived in the UK, and her village people used jazz to change her story to Super Story, dragged her back home and gave her destiny Ogiri to sell, or she is probably a good actor who has watched too much Hollywood movies. This is the funniest thing I have seen in while, I hope this gets to FP https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwZbFEEodWE Listen carefully, the way she spells Ogiri 'O-G-I-R-I' and then use it to sing a primary school rhyme. She is fantastic! ![]() CC Lalasticlala Mynd44

I have been seeing No Job threads on Nairaland, and I thought, with this recession, the most many of us who can't find a suitable job is to equip ourselves with small scale business. In my next post, I would share skills you can learn in 6-12 months that would supplement your university degree and make you lot of money. -------------- If you are looking for small scale businesses to start with as low as 5,000 naira, you have reached the right place. Do you know why a lady who's not a virgin won't make-out with you as soon as you two hook-up? Have you been in such love relationship where you try to get past the third base, knowing fully well that your lady isn't a virgin and she would give in sooner or later, but she just won't? There are so many reasons why a non-virgin lady will refuse making love with you, below are four of the reasons; 1. Lack Of Comfort A cute lady could be massively attracted to you, but that won’t lead to sex until she feels a certain level of comfort around you. Firstly, she needs to feel safe alone in your presence. You might be handsome, but still, a stranger who can not trust yet. Secondly, she needs to feel some sort of emotional connection. Sex is an emotional experience for her, so you’ll need to touch her heart before you touch her body. Don’t try and take her home the minute she shows or admits she’s attracted to you. That’s a great way to make her uncomfortable. Instead, spend some time alone in public. Share stories, take her places, get to know her more. 2. Slut-Shaming It’s unfortunate that slut-shaming exist I'm this present time. Society shames girls who sleep with men they’ve just met, and most girls will place their reputation ahead of even the most gorgeous guy. She’ll rarely admit she wants to have make-out with you, so be subtle in your attempts to get her into bed. A great first step is to get her away from her friends, where she’ll feel more free to release her sexual side. As for pick-up lines, "Wanna have sex?" doesn’t work anymore, even if she's a slut. "Wanna come to my place for some food and movies?’ may work for a lady who likes to sit at home, eat and see movies. 3. Bad Logistics Our slut-shaming society also tells her that getting sex should not involve any effort on her part. Hence, she’ll nearly always reject a 90-minutenight bus journey for sex. She won’t walk home in the rain or vacate any mates she’s looking after. She won’t mess up any important plans she has in the morning. So, get your route and your excuse (for her) to go home (with you) sorted beforehand. Read more: http://www.rapportnaija.com/2016/08/4-reasons-why-non-virgin-lady-would-not.html |
True Love lets go of hurts, BUT fake love harbours resentment, bitterness, gossips, unforgiveness and strife.
