PoliticsRe: July 1966 Counter-coup: Fajuyi’s Aides Knew About The Coup But Betrayed Him –sis by Paretomaster(m): 2:05pm On Jul 30, 2016
gartamanta:
Agu-Iyi Ironsi could have returned to Lagos with the same Helicopter he came with but Fajuyi assured him of his safety and he stayed. No doubt that Fajuyi deserves commendation for standing by his Boss till the end. But the tragedy of Fajuyi's death is that it exposed the Yoruba nation as a people who suffer from a perennial fear of the North. A Yoruba man and Governor of the Western Region is kidnapped and slaughtered but Yorubas did nothing. To this day, not one Yoruba man has ever called out the Northerners for killing Fajuyi. General Danjuma who killed Fajuyi is still highly regarded by Yorubas. 20 years later, again the Northerners kidnapp and slaughter MKO in a repeat performance. What did the Yorubas do? Nothing just as in the case of Fajuyi. Yoruba subservience to the North is so bad that the Yorubas will actually attack anyone who stands up the North such as Ojukwu, FFK and even Fayose. A fine Yoruba Solidier like Fajuyi was killed but his death was drowned out because it was Notherners that did the killing. If it had been Igbos who killed Fajuyi, that's when the Yorubas would have known how to talk.
I guess the Yorubas used their sense, Fajuyi sacrificed himself to protect his host...d soldiers never came for him...what transpired at the point the killed him is not known to u and I. so face your ppls betrayal....

Tunami:
you're the one getting it wrong here. As loyal aides who knew that a coup is about to take place and their boss is not aware of such thing, why did'nt they tell him (fajuyi)?, or do you think that the hausa/fulani men in the army started planning the coup the day Maj Gen Ironsi went to visit Fajuyi? No i guess. It was already a planned coup already by the hausa/fulani men in the army and Fajuyi's house was the best place to strike because his aides has already sold him out to their brothers in the army.
haba!...why are u b talking like this na, was the coup schedule to take place at Fajuyi's resident?....

the soldiers saw an opportunity and took it, besides they made it clear them only came for Ironsi....and yes the soldiers with Fajuyi might know nothing about the plan, unless u want to tell me all soldiers of northern extract were informed about the attack...which is not possible..

Almajiris are not loyal, no matter how much you care about them
loyal to who?.......are d soldiers coming for Fajuyi?...if u can read well, u will know the soldiers only asked for Ironsi...,but Fajuyi volunteer to go with them...

so go and siddon...Nzogwu was nurtured by an Hausa Man, so tell me who betray who?...
PoliticsRe: Why Kebbi Denies Dangote Land –bagudu by Paretomaster(m): 10:28am On Jul 25, 2016
Reference:
But this is what has been happening in the Niger Delta since oil was discovered and ordinary people question the agitation. Can you see how unfair Nigeria is. And to think that the population density down south is higher than in the north meaning more poor people per hectare of land. When Dangote is done they can still farm. In the Delta most areas are almost permanently damaged, never to be cultivated again.
what's the agreement between the Niger Delta farmers, and the FG?......this I think is a different scenario, as we are talking of farmlands, and mineral resources, which the constitution specifically allot to the FG.

besides whatever agreement the farmers, and d niger delta leadership agree on with d FG is there own making......plus we all know the NDELTANS are being compensated via the 13% but som few greedy elements are feeding fat on that at the expense of the ppl..

I roll u what very few in ND hav accumulated alone is enough to change the lot of the ppl.

this are the same set of ppl that will term the Northerners backward, daft etc......
PoliticsRe: Why Kebbi Denies Dangote Land –bagudu by Paretomaster(m): 9:52am On Jul 25, 2016
Kelvin3028:
Its simple. They don't want progress.
in as much as I agree the siting of the sugar refinery will create more employment, and boost the economic well being of the state, it is still not worth throwing the farmers into perpetual slavery.

will you part with a hectare of land for a mare 100k, and later lobby for your children to seek employment in d same company?

besides, the proposal predates the present Govt...and it's not all over, it's a negotiations process like the Governor stated below

*“We hope to convince Dangote that there are other ways
this can be done to have better security for his investment,
like agreeing that our farmers become his out-growers and
he buys from them for production in his factory.”*

more investment will be coming to the state, as the state is proving it's mettle in rice production, and it enjoy abundant power supply.

Lagos is estimated to have a population that is close to 25 million people. The entire North has a conservative population of 50 Million
according to who?....can u give me fact and figures, cos last time I checked the census out Kano as more populated than Lagos.

so until another census, it's all hearsay...

States are not based based on land mass, but on population. Lagos is like half the size of the smallest Igbo state, Abia state, but the same Lagos has a population of half the entire North.

Idealy, Anioma state should be the 6th Igbo state but powers that be have refused it. Anyway, whenever regionalism returns, we Igbos are going to dissolve all 5 states and end 'divide and rule'
hold it right there......lagos have the population no doubt..but half the entire North? are u kidding me, did u know d population of Kano alone?....
