Officially, Kogi state have sold their resources to Dangote.... No other governor will be able to fight this anymore....

Past Governors, and house of assembly members already sold their 10%, Bello just want a cut in the share, and was told no more space, that's why he was making noise upandan.

Dangote owned the company 100%, Kogi cannot even provide funds to finance it's own 10% at the beginning, they have to beg Dangote to finance it 100%, So sequentially they failed to keep their share of the company, and Dangote bought it over.

Only a Mumu Northerner will vote for Abubakar Atiku, a one term sitting duck President, We don’t need another Yar’adua Jonathan 2025 repeat saga again.

Bola Tinubu is confirmed 21 for the North, and the irony is that he benefits the interest of the Northerners as much as the Southerners.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a sure banker.

Southwest and the Northern part, is more than enough for Jagaban to be declared President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria.

5% inconsequential voters can go to Peter Obi, Abubakar Atiku is left stranded.

Confirm! Many donk know the core North, and South West are the deciding region In any Election.

Have you noticed it?

On one hand we are seeing an alliance between the South East, South South and the Middle Belt/NC.

On another hand we have the Core North and the South west.

We have four major Presidential candidates: Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, Ahmed Tinubu and Rabiu Kwankwaso.

Many of you think this Obi movement is a joke but here in the middle belt it is becoming a life or otherwise affair, literally. While three of the Muslim candidates and a VP are struggling for votes from their indigenous aligned regions making votes too saturated, Obi/Datti on the other hand seems to easily be the most preferred by the other block and even parts of South West.

Open your eyes people, Nigeria is changing and it seems an Igbo man is leading it now.

Obi isn't desperate to be president.. Igbo people aren't obsessed with government and government appointment like Yoruba people and Northerners.

Igbo want someone that can fix the economy so they can keep doing their business and be making money that's all.

Politics / Re: Why I Believe Pete Obi Can Win Next Year's Election by Paretomaster1(m): 9:21pm On Oct 11, 2022
Nazgul:
I believe the whole nation is bowled over at the growing popularity of the LP candidate HE Peter Obi. He was written off by political analysts earlier in the year when he joined LP on the basis that his party (LP) had no structure, but at the moment, he's arguably the most popular candidate in the election. The most talked about, the most criticized, the most hated, the most investigated...etc. Of all the candidates.

Obviously if he's opponents believed he lacked the political structure needed to win the election they wouldn't have given him kind of attention they're currently giving to him.

Social media activists like Reno has made attacking HE Peter Obi a full time job, his tweets about the LP presidential candidate comes in per minute, there are other candidates in other political parties without structure like LP, in fact a party like SDP in 2018 gave PDP and APC a run for their money in the gubernatorial election in Osun State, yet their presidential candidate despite having a visible structure in the SW isn't considered as a threat to the big wings...this should tell you that LP has become the last beacon of hope for the average Nigerian.

Without wanting to waste your time...I decided to give a forecast of how 2023 elections would look like based on the past voting pattern in the 6 geopolitical zones across Nigeria. And why I believe HE Peter Obi can win.

The core North (NE and NW) since 2003 when Buhari started contesting has always displayed herd mentality towards elections. No Southern candidate has ever defeated a northerner in these two zones. So whoever is projecting any southerner (Tinubu or Peter Obi) to win there is just deceiving them cos I don't see 2023 being any different from past elections in those two zones...they would come out in Mass and vote their fellow northerner.

The NC is divided into two the Christian part and the Muslim part...the Christian section which consists of Nassarawa, Benue, Plateau, Abuja tend to tilt towards Southerners and in this case Peter Obi. A clear example was how Buhari lost Abuja to Jonathan in 2011, 2015 and to Atiku in 2019. I believe the reason is because there's a high population of enlightened people there who aren't part of the herd mentality of the core northerners.

This leaves us with the SE, this zone has been a traditional PDP zone, therefore despite being a southerner, Tinubu wouldn't win any local government here, Peter Obi is projected to get Bloc votes here. The SS voting pattern would be similar to that of the SE only that Atiku would perform better here...but I see it going to Peter Obi, possibly with a very close margin unlike the south east where he would most likely have bloc votes. Tinubu wouldn't win any single state in these two zones.

To the SW, here would really be a political battle ground. Osun and Oyo are PDP States. LP would perform poorly here except in Lagos. And Tinubu won't be getting bloc votes in Lagos despite the high turnout of new registered voters cos he'd have to struggle with LP and PDP for votes.

So in reality tinubu is most likely to win minimum of 5 states and maximum of 8 states... which most likely would be Lagos, Ogun, Ekiti, Ondo, Kogi, and Kwara... possible battle ground that might flip might be Oyo but he wouldn't win Osun State.

Peter Obi if the SS and Christian Bloc of the NC stands behind him should win about 15 states. 5 from the SE, 6 from the SS and 5 from the NC (including Abuja)

Atiku would want to pocket the 6 NE states and 7 NW states which should give him 13 northern States. If Kwankwaso intensifies his campaign and grabs like at least 3 NE states, Atiku's hold would reduce to about 10 states in the bag. This now leaves us with the NC which has 7 states. Of which Tinubu has already grabbed two (Kogi and Kwara) and Peter Obi 4 which are Benue, plateau Nassarawa and Abuja... Atiku would definitely win Niger state making his Total 11.

So at the end of it all...

Peter Obi would have won 15 states

Atiku 11 States

Tinubu 6-7 States

Kwankwaso 3 States

If Peter Obi can concentrate his efforts on this zones where he's sure of winning it would be better for his campaign. He can't win the core North so he shouldn't wast his resources there, they don't vote Southerners and wouldn't change their mindset. He should solidify his hold on this zones that are winnable and enuse he doesn't loose them as the day goes by.

Source... myself.

It’s unfortunate when people don’t understand issues and just read from head line. How can you support a government that brought thugs to illegally invade a company instead of going to court to settle matters. What moral justification will a government have from a business that took so much loan to build a factory from scratch , and when the business is booming , government now suddenly say’s its there’s. In a country we’re business are finding it hard to operate , you are now frustrating the little they have.

But who is right on this issue between the Kogi State Government and Dangote?

The Kogi State Government state that Dangote acquired the cement plant illegally

They also accuse Dangote of not paying tax and also claim the Kogi State Government have a 10% stake

October 08, 2022
WE OWN OBAJANA CEMENT 100% — DANGOTE CEMENT

The Management of Dangote Cement Plc. yesterday firmly declared that the Obajana Cement plant in Kogi State is owned 100 per cent by it and that the invasion of the plant last Wednesday by armed vigilantes “on the orders of the state government” was illegal. In a swift reaction, the Kogi State Government said the state “has all the relevant documents to prove that the purported acquisition of Obajana by Dangote is null and void.”

Dangote Cement Plc, in the statement signed by its Group Managing Director (GMD) Michel Puchercos and titled, “Illegal Shutdown of Dangote Cement, Obajana Plant”, declared the firm’s full ownership of the Obajana plant, while berating the attack on the plant.

Puchercos said: “The Management of Dangote Cement Plc. wishes to inform members of the public, especially its customers and other stakeholders of the recent invasion of its Obajana Cement Plant, Kogi State by armed vigilantes on the orders of the state government.“The vigilantes, led by some officials of the State government were apparently acting on a resolution of the Kogi State House of Assembly on controversial tax claims; claims that the state governor had also contradicted when he said the shutdown was due to an alleged invalid acquisition of the company by Dangote Industries Limited.”

He said in the process of forcefully evicting the company’s workers, to enforce the illegal shutdown, the vigilantes shot at 27 of the workers and also destroyed some of the company’s property at the plant.Puchercos declared: “We have taken steps to get the hoodlums apprehended by the law enforcement agencies, and we will ensure that full legal action is taken against them.

“We therefore appeal to all our staff and our esteemed customers to remain calm while we explore all possible legal steps to address the situation. The welfare of our staff remains our key focus as we work hard to minimize further impact on our people and operations.“While we reiterate that Obajana Cement plant is 100% owned by Dangote Cement PLC, we remain resolute in transforming Africa, while creating sustainable value for our people, communities, investors and customers.”

Several workers of the Dangote cement plant in Obajana, were shot on Wednesday during a faceoff between the state’s security outfit and workers at the plant. The vigilantes forced out the workers, before sealing the Obajana plant.A statement by Dangote Group said the vigilante group was led by the state Director-General of Lands, Commissioner for Solid Minerals, and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, Commodore Jerry Omodara (rtd).

“Others were Chairman of Kabba/Bunnu LGA, Chairman of Ijumu LGA and the State ALGON Chairman, Alhaji Taofeek; Senior Special Assistant on Job Creation, Mr. Dele Iselewa, and Chairman of Lokoja LGA, Alhaji Mohammed Dansabe,” said the statement.

Meanwhile, members of the mining and host communities have condemned the Kogi State Government for what they described as an extrajudicial and unlawful deployment of the vigilantes to cause chaos in the Obajana community.Spokesman for the Oyo Mining host community, David Oluruntoba, condemned the act, stating the company had established a cordial relationship with the local community.

He said, “They called us to join them. But I told them that the company has not offended us. We just signed a Community Development Agreement (CDA) and the company has been helping us and providing us with jobs. What has the government done for us, nothing. There is no basis to support the government.”A staff of Dangote Cement, Jibrin Abubakar, said the company’s workers who were shot during the invasion were currently receiving treatment at a medical facility.

Abubakar said, “They were hired by the government, the hunters. They are like the Amotekun of Kogi State. The workers that were shot are currently receiving medical treatment.
