Education / Re: First Class Honours: Kini Big Deal? by Pasca07: 9:05am On Apr 09, 2016
DrayZee:

Don't bring UTME into this. Jamb has lost it's respect due to irregularities noticed and is no longer a credible evaluation. Some candidates who wished to study in public have to go to private.
Besides an examination is not a true test of knowledge. Private universities have better infrastructure and conducive environment for learning. Public students have to battle with cultism, over-packed hostels and classrooms from which they may gain no knowledge after each class, and lecturers who hold supreme and unchecked power to fail or pass whomever they wish to.
So don't say that private university graduates are not up to those in public because more people graduate with first class than in public.

Privates go to school and learn. Publics go to school and suffer whilst learning. Privates can focus on their academics. Publics have to deal with other issues.
chai see finishing abeg easy on public universities schools na

What is fresh in 21 years old these days?

Some begin doing it at 14. Is 6 or 7 years on the "odometer" fresh? grin cheesy

It's not about fresh or not, it's about chemistry/compatibility.

Don't just give reasons but convincing reasons.Make sure you have a good study plan.I think that is what he was looking at when he was asking me questions. The study plan is what will enable them to access you in the first place.I took time to package my study plan.I know why I am hammering on study plan.Remain bless.

Pasca07,you have to cram like two or three bible quotations.Cram them very well because the interviewer may decide to open the pages and check them. What divinity is all about? Why do you want to study divinity? Most importantly you have to give him reasons why you studying a course that is not related to your first degree.Very important bro..And finally what do you intend to achieve in Nigeria after studying.Make sure your study plan is well arranged. Those guys are not joking these days.
thanks for the reply I will work on those things....

I understand your point but the truth still remains that if you are coming here for Masters degree, you have good chances too and for those that has aged probably 30 and above, I know most schools here dont even accept language students at that age anymore, and the likes accept someone from 24 years and below and more of the people getting language visa has been on that age range.
Above 30 is the worst.

My observations from this last semester after visiting many schools looking for admissions and answers.

I still encourage anyone to try his so others can get heads up
hmmm like someone like me that just hit 30 what do you suggest I apply for?so far I have my degree?

It depends on what the money is for...if it's for tuition fees or medicals, please make use of the Form A at CBN rate....just did with stanbic, pretty easy, took only 3 days.
so if you want to pay school fees it is 200 naira to 1 dollar?

God is great!I was given study visa to korea.Thank you God.I also want to thank my good brother who i met on this forum sometime last year. His username is acadollar. The dollarman.Acadollar has been of great help to me since i met him here.He has been answering all my questions even some of them that look childish. He never got tired of me.Anytime i call on him he will always be there to clear me.I tried getting it last year but it did not workout.I started all over again.I contacted acadollar and he promised to be there anytime i need him.His advise and encouraging words helped me even when i went for interview.I was able to stood my ground when the interviewer was firing questions at me and never pitied me for more than90minutes.All because i have known what to study and the information that is needed.Acadollar is very honest man.I dealed with him for like 9 months now.He never lied to me.He never cheated me.He never insulted me because of my questions.Because i ask question alot.Thank you my brother. My good brother swonpon i thank you too for being there for me.God bless you.Our oga justwise thank you for your wise counsel. You are doing a good job here.God bless you.My big sister nkechimma ,you are just good.May God bless all of us and grant us good things in life.Love you all
