kefmawin: I think the moderators here are up to something by their unreasonable repetition of what has since been laid to rest.
I smell foul in this whole discussion.
Even though I do not encourage people to exalt a denomination, I must say that this looks like a calculated attempt to rubbish a church that sincerely follows the word of God to the best of their understanding irrespective of who is hurt. Though we may all have our different views.

This thread was earlier discussed on this link :
https://www.nairaland.com/1341869/pastor-kumuyis-son-apologises-deeper-life/18

Here many comments were made which should have ended this matter. I sense mischief and it seems Nairaland specializes in posing affronts to the ministers of God and the church of the Living God.

Remember you may answer for everything you say or do.
The so-called christians who take delight in all these and bring up threads that encourage others who no nothing about the christian faith to blaspheme should beware as this is not healthy for their spiritual and physical well being.

What is the purpose of bringing up this discussion again after it has been trashed out on the below link? :
https://www.nairaland.com/1341869/pastor-kumuyis-son-apologises-deeper-life/18

Could this be joblessness or calculated attempt to defame a church known for their emphasis on The totality of the word and Holiness without which no man shall see God?

Enough of this absurdity.
The most important thing is for everyone of us to evaluate our personal stand with God. Should you get to the end of your life here on earth where will you spend your eternity?

The one who go to church and still practices sin is doomed (Revelation 21:8,27; Ephesians 5:3-7 ).
The one who is wise will examine himself and where in doubt quickly repent and accept His grace and mercy by putting faith in Christ for real salvation and life transformation.

Be wise friends so that you do not begin to cry for mercy when it is too late. This is the day of salvation. Let the scorners and scoffers continue but time shall tell.

Love you all
With your fanciful message, Nigeria should have been the pacesetter of holiness. Don't you smell your own hypocrisy? What is the biblical definition of righteousness to you? What do you define as sin? Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach. Why do you lot wallow in wanton hypocrisy? Why? Do you even weigh matters of life with the word of God before believing every BS a fellow human being like you spews out to you in church?

I am serious. The dude was trying to make everyone see that it is a form of beastiality. Only animals suck the private organs of fellow animals. He even went as far as saying that.....women, if your husband is disturbing you for blow-job, come and report him to the church! I quietly left the keyboards I was playing and never again stepped into that church or any of its branches across the UK and Europe.
Christianity EtcRe: Deeper Life Suspends Kumuyi’s Son, Daughter-in-law by Pataki: 11:05pm On Jul 02, 2013
I remember once attending a worker's night vigil of a Nigerian church in Europe. The head pastor stated that it was in the marital constitution of the church that married couples must not give themselves blow-job! That was the night I finally decided, never again will I be a member to any so-called Nigerian church!

Bunch of hypocrites!!

PoliticsRe: Patience Jonathan On An Illegal Podium - Guardian Editorial by Pataki: 9:31am On Jun 24, 2013
percipi1: Yes, when an office not provided for in the constitution is so designate and provided official funding, it become legal. The office of the a First Lady is a designate of the Presidency, therefore, it is legal and entitled as such.

Financing militancy or espionage is never official. There is no official funding for such activities. Any funding is unofficial not recognised by the National Assembly.
Where and how did you derive this legality from? Is this within our constitution? An illegal office not recognized by the constitution of our land is being funded by the presidency and you think Nigerians will eat this codswallop of yours?

Who made the office of first lady designate to the presidency - the constitution? Why do you people enjoy lies and deceit this much?
PoliticsRe: Patience Jonathan On An Illegal Podium - Guardian Editorial by Pataki: 9:12am On Jun 24, 2013
percipi1: I do not agree with your argument. The office of the First Lady may not be recognised in our constitution but it is provided official funding which is backed by constitutional authorities, -Presidency and National Assembly.. In line with this recognition by constitutional authorities, especially the Presidency, the occupant of the office is entitled to an official podium backed by all the paraphernalia of the Presidency. I do not fancy the present occupant, but that does not mean we must deny her the privilege that is attached to her office.
So if the office of the presidency decides to finance an office not recognized in our constitution, that makes it legal? Your argument makes me nauseated sincerely.

I suppose the presidency officially financing militancy, espionage, and their respective office holders is also permitted within our constitution - no?

I can see the moral and religious point of view of the OP. He is indeed right.

However, my own point is that what are the various rich religious institutions in Nigeria also doing to foster the kind of rich youth empowerment idea this OP has?

If some hormone driven youths have decided to turn themselves into loose moral beings, are there no other bodies who can promote your positive idealogical ideas for the development of Africa?

Focus inwards OP.
FamilyRe: Does this Make Children bad? by Pataki: 10:27pm On Jun 21, 2013
coogar: explain, how?
a child is reluctant to wash his plate and he's throwing tantrums. the mother wants me to deal with the situation and i go to the kitchen to talk to him.

i went: "junior, if you wash the plates without complaints, i would get you a big gift". how's that spoiling? every human needs some sorta motivation or bribery. as long as the job is done with minimum fuss, everyone wins!

motivation is not spoiling......
as you can see, you bribed him in the end and he promised to be good. kids are the most manipulative set of people in the world. throw them the offer and watch them change their mind almost immediately. he would have washed those plates that day if you had promised him 5 cones of ice cream!
You have made the situation so simplistic. Lol. This is a kid who is the headboy in his school, very respectful and never jokes with his books. But in other aspects as relating household chores, he is deficient. I was in my room when he started crying about washing a simple napkin. All I did was to ask why he should be crying and the next thing he did was to hiss. Yeah I did overlook at that time, but soon afterwards, I did feel I would let his mom down and also make the kid feel his behavior was allowed. Hence I later decided to discipline him.

I am truly against spoiling a child, but also not of the mindset of excessive discipline on a child. Kids are very manipulative esp, kids who are raised by single parent and in most scenarios by their mother.

biolabee: Pataki, did u not tell her
ban no omo ni, kode inu olomo

na u dey wan turn to enemy...

ur tale is a good illustration of not allowing kids do wat they want

how can a grown boy be crying over washing napkin...
the mum wanted a strong hand n felt u could be surrogate daddy during ur stay
You are very right. I realized the position I was being "entrapped" in. But considering that this kid has always been respectful, but was starting to develop the teenage rebellion years, I needed to let him know he cannot always have his way.

The mom sincerely appreciated the discipline I gave her son. Just when I was about leaving Nigeria, that anytime he misbehaves forthwith, she will apply the same punishment on him and also draw him closer afterwards to explain to him why he had to be subjected to such discipline. And quite honestly, I find beating a child very very demoralizing.

I almost fought with a woman inside a taxi in Abeokuta when she kept on smacking her child giving her "abara" repeatedly! I was shocked! But once I spoke up.....she stopped. The innocent girl was not even crying, but I could feel the moral strength of that child fading away with every slap in the public space.

coogar: headmaster, pataki!
today's kids are complex and my biggest peeve is having to endure kids wailing in my ears. when the mum is not looking, i bribe the kid. people say it's spoiling but it's much better than the drama you would encounter while trying to straighten them up!
Lol! I think you are simply compounding the problem for another day.

Spoiling a child could have repercussions for the future. I did punish the kid (12yrs old), but I drew him closer thereafter and explained to him why I did punish him. And I bribed him with goodies just before I left Nigeria. So he promised to be a good boy forthwith. cheesy
