You're right, and I'm sorry to say this, out of the big three ethnic groups in tropical west African (Akan/Ghana, Yoruba, Igbo) Igboland is the least accessible and least know, even places that are less developed are better known. My own case here are two major important submissions!!!!

Number one ... I want to urge every igbo business man to consider building fourth estate!! I have been hammering on this for soooo long... since 2011!!!!!!
we have a lot to showcase on the media to the world!! and we also have capable young men and women... that can do these jobs. I was so bitter when I saw psquare's mansion in atlanta! I was bitter not because I'm a hater but, they could have used the money on something better than the mansion, I remember them complaining of Sound city not playing their songs, I said to myself, if psquare is visionary, they could have invested in entertainment media and build a dynasty, that will forever remain a legacy... They have the financial muscle to be more influential than sound city, hiptv etc, but they are not even looking at that... most of the musicians from enugu to lagos are not seeing the opportunity to replicate what they see in lagos in enugu.. this would have helped the local artists in standing out, earning a living with out going to lagos...

Also lagos ibadan media gang, do not see our region as part of nigeria, their reportage and portrayal of our region seem to be We (nigeria) against them (us, alaigbo). They report only bad or gory activities of our region. For instance, the nation or punch, can only have a headline from southeast when it involves a crime,I remember one Emmanuel obe of The nation, the only thing he reports from SE is always crime, Nd gory activities, they continually flash these things to create a very bad image and impression on SE, I remember how this people took the okija saga, I remember how they did the otokoto, and kidnapping.. Even up till now, they still make it looks as if kidnapping still the bane why militants are in ND, while they will be saying that SW is relatively peaceful. Most of us do not know that kidnapping is so rampant in SW now, in ogun state the rate is daily, the bank robbery is very high!! Since 2007 till today, Awka has not witnessed high way robbery or bank robbery, I don't know about others, but I tell you, bank robbery is very rampant in SW now, kidnapping is thriving as I type now, but their media would rather deflect the attentions to what they feel that is important,

Can CNN be reporting a favourable news of atlanta while it portrays Newyork bad? The answer is no! CNN can not do that, because everywhere belongs to one country America! With the few people I've met and discussed with. These project should be strictly private. That will make it come to life faster because if we wait for the governors to do it, we're strictly on a long thing.

We brought out different ways to make these things happen. We need to initiate what's called "igbo and diaspora tax" system. This is a kind of tax system where igbos all over the place can donate an amount which is very comfortable to them with respect to their income every month. For a period of 5years. The diaspora tax system will be able to yield atleast 100billion every 3months if followed diligently. By the end of a year, we already have 400billion to do this project. With the Chinese already in the business of developing region and manage them for a particular time. We can partner with them and build the seaport together. We will only need to pay royalty to the state government when we finish it. I know its not easy but we're going to connect with our politicians in our region to bring this up in the national assembly and give us the go-ahead to fund the project ourselves, so that federal govt will not give us excuses. If we can build many major markets around the country, we can come together and build this thing with low import and export duty from people of igboland.

Another way make these things happen is to enrich our already rich men. We will enrich to billionaires in dollars. We will build home-grown billionaires in dollars. This will enable us not only woo investors but will see these guys as eye-openers that the region can actually give them money if they invest. Yes, enrich them but with a prize! If we enrich them, they'll have the capacity to build world class factories and outlets and manage them well while employing our youths in business. These people will not be given money but will be supported and given a kind of monopoly (not total monopoly), that will make them produce. They will control the manufacturing but other people will control the distribution and sales of what they produce. This will spread wealth among people and in a way they still maintain the wealth within the region.

We will need our brothers to bank in one particular bank and do transaction there, yes, that's what we should do. This bank will not only save our money but will also go into the research of new business opportunities and enlighten our businessmen on different businesses. This bank will also give payable loans to business owners that will delve into such businesses. We already have Zenith bank and Fidelity Bank. They're our best bet since its own by our brothers. This bank will also be able to fund many infrastructural businesses in the region.

Our government should continue using money to build infrastructure. But they also need to use money to do business abroad! Yes, our government shouldn't be a government of pay salaries and repair roads alone. If our state government can do business with state fund. That's a good one! The profit gotten this business done outside this shores will make us forever rich. We won't need to wait for federal government for allocation before we pay salaries and finish infrastructural facilities. Buy shares abroad, do business with the with booming economies. Sell goods abroad and build real-estates abroad. They will give the state money and they won't be poor.

You're not getting it. I am not saying each state will abandon other aspects of the economy, No. But developing what you have comparative advantage over other people will go a long way bring substantial development in the state. Other things will be there.

For economy to be balanced, it doesn't mean everything will be developed at the same rate in the same percentage. No one can develop everything together, at all.

What are we even talking about? The igboland is not too big that real development cannot cut across the different states easily.

I am happy that these things are happening anambra state as we speak, but if you really look at the state, you'll still see that we're still struggling to open it up. We're only enjoying what patriotic anambraians are doing for the state. What we should be looking at is making the region what is called "come here or your business dies". We don't need to woo these people.

I have worked with the chinese, I know what they think about our region. They knew igbos before they got to know the other people from other regions. They would've loved to business with us directly but we don't have what it takes to bring them down to the region.

Heavy machinery cannot be brought to the east without passing through Lagos port. Any resources we need to produce our goods must be brought through lagos port. The number of accidents we see on weekly basis will at one time stunt the growth of these companies. The number of containers being confiscated in wharf will make our manufacturers run out of business. Our brother drive our bought cars from Lagos to the east everyday. Some are being seized before getting to the east, some got destroyed on their way to the east.

If you want to see real drastic development, just create an opportunity for goods to enter the state through a neighbour seaport like that in Abia state. You will marvel
