omonnakoda: They are rejoicing because Eboes are disrespectful. When they come anywhere and do well they start insulting the hosts go and ask Ikwerres. They should learn to do business and keep their mouths shut and not offend local sensibilities. There are many families that have settled in Lagos from northern Nigeria and now accepted as natives a good example is the Oshodi family. Eboes on the other hand will always show themselves "Lagos is no man's land,Eboes developed Lagos,Eboes must rule................." Well the original hospitality shown to the Eboes will be withdrawn as they show their true colours. Back to the Ikwerre issue where Eboes lost a lot of property compared to Ibadan and Lagos after the war where their property was intact. There is nothing anyone can do to please Eboes they will never be grateful and their mindset is wherever they are they must dominate. In that regard I must confess Ahmadu Bello was right You are very silly! The person developing the place is still an igbo man. You hate them so much allow them to go,if there is any mass exodus of igbo out of lagos, yoruba will kill their leaders.... FYI an igbo man just wnt to develop the place, I know the man, He is a very young guy in his early 30s |

I want every discerning mind to read this report carefully, and tell me one, just one concrete evidence that requires all these backlash! I do not know herr neither do I care, but I'm telling those that care to listen not to join them nor imitate them, this has been the key reason for red zincs.....
Why Amosun is afraid of her - Why she is called ‘The Diezani’ of Ogun State By Kemisola Adebajo Careless talk costs lives. Sometimes, it renders a man a pitiful talkative and clown. As for being garrulous, well, at the age four, with colourful frocks and wooden dolls, most little girls are talkative. As they evolve, many of them grow out of it but not Kemi Adeosun, the Ogun State former Commissioner of Finance. Like an underage girl, Adeosun opens her mouth to blather not minding the pitiful words she utters. Curiously, however, Kemi has been telling anyone who cares to listen that she has been nominated by Governor Ibikunle Amosun for the ministerial position as the Minister of Finance or the head honcho of FIRS. Her friends have been popping champagne on her behalf. But pray, a careful consideration of her past utterances vis-a- vis her current actions reveals that she is hardly what she professed to be. Kemi lied. More worrisomely, the dark flame of her vanity is gradually rising to the fierce lure and perverted prod of high office. She hides her vanity beneath a veneer of humility...but at odd moments—in the exciting company of her bosom friends, in the folds of a wispy day-dream or the middle of a friendly and feel-good banter, she betrays her lust for reverence and acclaim. For instance, she hardly engages in conversations with her friends without making reference to the so-called nomination by Amosun. Interestingly, there is infinite wile in the heart and smile of a painted devil. When the painted devil is a gorgeous woman, it takes a discerning mind and clinical intellect to see through her plots and sidestep her maneuverings. The eternal coupling of the criminal and the hypocrite manifests in the soul of a woman with a dark heart. Such woman presents a colossal evil of sort; while her penchant for crime confront society with the perplexity of radical evil; her hypocrisy and flagrant disregard for the truth, establishes her as really rotten to the core. You couldn’t have forgotten so soon how she left Bolaji Balogun’s ChapelHill in a very controversial manner. That's a story for another day. If by virtue of her sass and unrivalled wiles, she wins the heart of Amosun, she succeeds in turning him into her parlour pet and gets him to wag his tail in utter submission to her craziest whim. If she is devious enough, she exploits her position to amass great fortune for herself, often at the state's expense. With unparalleled dexterity and finesse, she wields money like a utility weapon; sometimes like a hideous cloak, often like a deadly dagger. She adds inordinate vile to her already chilling nature and thus becomes terror to the most valiant of men in Ogun State Civil Service. She could ruin a man with an imperceptible smile. Yes, Kemi is as scary as that. And men and women who had been on the receiving end of her Machiavellian and ruthless plots have only gory stories to share. There is no gainsaying Kemi is manically haughty and high-handed. Many of her staff claim that she is a control freak who brooks no confrontation from anyone no matter how highly placed the fellow is; once you cross her path or incite her wrath, you are get in serious trouble and she is always supported by Governor Ibikunle. The Capital investigations revealed that so tenacious and suffocating was her hold on Ibikunle that the latter couldn't dare cross the former Finance Commissioner. She is to Ibikunle Amosun what Diezani Madueke was to former President Goodluck Jonathan. Mess around with her at your own peril. Top government officials catch cold whenever she sneezes. It seems that Kemi is on a mission to rub it in the face of whoever crosses her path that she is the favoured aide of an incumbent governor. In fact, commissioners and permanent secretaries are said to dread her so much that they avoid treading her path. Little wonder, they worship the ground she treads while praying and hoping that they don’t incur her wrath because her word is law in Ogun state.

Some have even said by that statement they will not vote for Carson. I wonder why that fact pains you so much. It is such a shame that an educated man like you who campaigned for change in Nigeria to bring about a muslim president in Nigeria will try to smuggle politics of hatred as practiced by PDP to the US. To even think you used the word "rule" is just so sick. Just in case you have not noticed, America don't elect rulers, they elect LEADERS. When his boy child grow's up, i bet you there will be a fair child in the family since he has the recessive gene due to his father's white ancestry. I have seen this argument several places, if you see my grandmother from my paternal side, she is like half caste with a curly hair, she died at 90. Only one of her children took after her. I remember her saying that their father was very fair the called him nwokorocha... so I think it has nothing to do with mix breeding.... If you read about Red Eboe slaves" you will understand that its natural. VickJames: Igbos are something else. The way we got here, its only God that knows. God just single-handedly blessed us and make us what we're today. It is important that our past can be transformed as strength of the future. If only we can get a good television station that can permeate through different important parts of the country, we can sell both our state and other igbo states too.
What we don't understand is this:
1. We're the highest population of people who had a republican system of government. The western media has turned it to under-civilisation but what people don't understand is that we can turn into an asset. Republican system goes a long way to show that we have been breeding people who can think for themselves, fend for themselves, protect themselves and still become successful without being ruled over.
2. The various wars we fought with the british i.e the ekumeku war and others can be sold as asset too. It will be shown to the world that we're strong and can make things happen when we put our minds to it.
3. We can buy this Equaino's book and try to rebrand it in such a way that it will buttress the fact that the igbos are strong were open to western education and seeking freedom since the time immemorial.
4. Germany, Russia and Poland still sell their war experiences and have used it to tell the world how they've grown past the destruction of the war and where they are at the moment. They show you war sites and call many people to tell war stories and how they ran for their lives. We will show people various videos of then and now, and tell people that many of the kwashiorkwor stricken people of yesterday have become billionaires in their own right. This goes to show how we've come to light after many years of darkness.
5. We sell the image of our greats. Tell the world what they have achieved but academic, business and other facets of life. Show the world how they were home-grown and what they've been doing.
6. We'll use this medium to shield the crimes in the east and bring the governors and senators to light. Show them the manufacturing power of our people.
7. Sell the image of our indigenous manufacturers and businessmen in our land. Show the world what we can manufacture and what we can do with our resources in the east.
8. Change people's perception about the east being an erosion site and show them what we can do in art. This will make our art and culture sector of our states wake up and this will make that industry boom too. If we have programmes in the week that can highlight our artistic prowess, we can drag development to the region.
9. Publicise awards in the east and for people from all works of life. Give awards to many of different regions and country. This will make us less tribalistic and more open to people. Give them award for no reason and make people see us as open people. But this award will be one thing everyone will be looking out for.
10. Make emotional documentary on how someone from grass to grace made it in the east through investing in the east. This will boost the image of the people.
Media is like light beaming on a particular people. When light is shown on you, you will behave well. This will make our youths behave well because light will be on them.
The east shouldn't breed mediocre station and mediocre journalists who can't "go there" or do something crazy to get reports. The east can be a stronghold of development if only we can get these things right.
They may think they won't get subscribers, the opposite will be the case. guy permit me to call you a "thief" cos you stole my ideas and views... |

BuddahMonk: GOVERNOR UMAHI OF EBONYI STATE DONATES BAGS OF RICE AND OTHER RELIEF MATERIALS TO INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS AND TROOPS IN THE NORTH-EAST: The Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi, yesterday donated some bags of rice and other essential relief materials for the upkeep of the internally-displaced persons(IDPs) in the North-East geopolitical zone of the country. Governor Umahi made the diclosure during a courtsey visit to the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Gabriel Olonisakin. The Governor, who also donated some items to military troops in the area as a mark of his support in their battle against Boko Haram insurgency, noted that for the military to win the war against insurgency in the North-East, it was imperative for all Nigerians to give them( the military) their support and encouragement. Governor Umahi said that in addition to individual and corporate supports, the military would also require the general public to champion the campaign of effective isolation of the terrorist elements in that part of the country. The Ebonyi State Governor also used the occasion to commiserate with Chief of Defence Staff and families of those gallant soldiers who paid supreme sacrifice in defence of their fatherland. In his response, the Chief of Defence Staff, thanked Governor Umahi for his pledge, support and encouragement, and assured him that the presidential order to end the Boko Haram violence before the end of the year was a task that must be done, adding that the military had gone back to the drawing board to actualize that mandate.
