Don't decieve yourself, mister. Even Ghana depends on ND natural gas for her electricity.

Pray tell, what's the IGP of each South Eastern state?smiley
igp without oil companies will show you that southeast is very productive!
mumu Anambra state has the highest deposit of Natural gas in nigeria.. their many untapped oil in igboland,.
just look at it this way, you will never see any igboman clamouring for oil whatever, that is is why most of you don't know that Imo and abia state are all Niger deltan.
i don't believe in oil! apple is way too richer than total, texaco, oando and all the oil companies in nigeria combined, mind you apple is not up to 20 years!

Honestly speaking I met with a guy from AKS now now, immediately i said "Chukwu Abiama bless you", the guy just looked at me and said "and bless all Biafrans".

The response got us talking and he said he is hardcore Biafran, so also are his townsmen.

I told him to join Nairaland and see things for himself.

And I believe he will.

The discussion went the way of "we now know everything, our eyes have opened my brother".
this morning calls from Akwaibom would make some people develop heart attack, you need to see how hard these people were sounding, and Director nnamdi kalu has soft spot for them, he prefers ibibio people to igbos,. he doesn't like to hear anything igbo alone this or that..
The issue is very simple, southern people are not happy with nigeria, most of them don't like igbos too, but if you ask them to point out wrongs collective igbo people have done to them they will be telling you what you can still accuse them of. had it been se and sswere together, Oil headquarters wouldn't leave Igweocha, never!! but the allowed the likes of Edwin clark to balkanize us. you would see Ogoni agitating for their own selfish interest, eket, ikwere, okirika all have different interest, and they haven't got any, they do not understand the power of unity! and I'm happy that's coming to the table now....
And for your information, Nnamdi kalu has made it open that if anybody wants to go after biafra the person will be allowed. he said it and I support it. we will never intimidate anyone.. I will never support it. it is on record that igbos do not oppress their neighbours.. we do not. they are only accusing us wrongly. I want to challenge any person from south south to come out state what igbos have collectively done to them.

We igbos have oil, we don't need them in any way, not that we'll depend on oil. When biafra comes and they don't want to come, we're not forcing them. We don't want another forced entity. When biafra comes, they either come or goto hell.
just wait let's US get approval to export oil!! and Iran by God's grace resolve their problems this week! Oil will crash further to 30dollar.. oil is worthless now! Apple and Google are human resources and they are bigger than nigeria as whole. apple has more money than nigeria!

Ask yourself what is the interest of a sokoto man? nobody said that! even Nnamdi kalu has made it clear to them, they can not get niger delta republic or efik ibibio nation alone, what they need to do is come together as a biafra dissolve this contraception thenceforth they can go if they want to. he has made it clear so many times, his interest is to dissolve this whitemanmade zoo, he sometimes asked why should we have yoruba in Togo Benin (speaking french)and nigeria speaking English! he called it madness! can this same anomaly happen in Europe. the answer is no, so why in Africa are you daft I ask you. PoliticsRe: Buhari Scores Another Point Against Jonathan, READ How by patrick89(m): 5:11am On Jul 08, 2015
ShoutNaija:
President Muhammadu Buhari, has yet again, proven that his election by Nigerians during the March 28 presidential poll was not a ‘fluke’.

This was the assertion of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who hailed Buhari for coming to the aid of the long-suffering Nigerian workers with a multi-billion-naira package that will not only ensure that all arrears of salaries owed by many states across the country are immediately paid, but will also make it easier for the states to meet their monthly salary obligations henceforth.

Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party’s national publicity secretary, stated in a statement issued Tuesday, July 7, that the president’s gesture has proven to Nigerians that he is indeed the father of the nation and an exemplary leader.

“We say this because when states were financially handicapped during the tenure of the last federal government, opposition states were hung out to dry while states belonging to the then ruling PDP got generous bailouts.

The PDP that spent the past 16 years plundering and pillaging Nigeria has boasted that the Nigerian people will soon come, cap in hand, to beg them to return to power. What delusion! What arrogance! Who presided over the looting and the mismanagement of public funds that made it impossible for the nation to absorb the shock of the falling oil prices?
“Who depleted the Excess Crude Account (ECA) without authorization? Who has degraded the standard of living of Nigerians?” the party queried via the statement isued in Abuja.

Buhari’s approval include: federal and state governments getting $1.7 billion out of the $2 billion remaining in the ECA; the sharing of about $2.1 billion sourced from the LNG’s payment to the Federation Account; and a CBN-packaged special intervention fund that will offer financing to the states, ranging between N250 billion to N300 billion, as a soft loan available to states to access for the purposes of paying backlog of salaries.

In addition, the president approved a debt relief programme that will help states restructure their commercial loans currently put at over N680 billion.
This implies that the life span of such loans will be extended, while reducing the states’ debt-servicing expenditures, thus leaving the states with enough resources (which otherwise would have been removed at source by the banks) to meet their monthly salary obligations, among others.
The statement therefore read further: “history is repeating itself before our very eyes. Some 31 years ago, Buhari, then as a military head of state, also inherited a huge national rot similar to what has been bequeathed to it by the NPN government and had to approve 480 million Naira for the payment of arrears of workers’ salaries. Truly, the President is a man of destiny.

“We thank Nigerians for voting the APC into power at the centre and for believing in us even when the horizon became hazy, not out of our making but because of the misdeeds of the past. By their relentless support for President Buhari and the APC, Nigerians have indeed demonstrated that what is worth fighting for is worth defending.”
In spite of all these, Nigerians are still unhappy with Buhari over his inability to stem the consistent attacks of islamic insurgents, Boko Haram, after their recent bombing left over 20 people dead in Zaria, Kaduna state.

PoliticsRe: Who Else Smells Desperation From Boko Haram? by patrick89(m): 7:11pm On Jul 07, 2015
Sweetlemon:
Since May 29th, there has been an increase in attacks. Have you also noticed that BH usually do not strike during Ramaddan? But this ramaddan hardly a day has gone by without an attack even in mosques! (I’m sure this has removed any doubt about BH being an Islamic agenda because it should be clear to all now that it is pure politics)
Let me explain why I believe this BH thing is either a PDP project or an Arab thing.
During PDP rule, PDP kept on blaming attacks on APC, stating that they want to “sabotage their government” there was a deliberate attempt to blame northerners, and make Christians hate Muslims. I remember so well how they did this wrecking havoc and discord in the minds of gullible Nigerians.
Fast forward to APC rule, PDP is now saying that we will beg them to return. Please what the hell is that supposed to mean? What arrogance! Look at NL for instance; we can see I-regret-voting-Buhari inducing threads all over the place. Never mind that this started right from the first week of Buhari’s take over which is totally unrealistic no matter how and where you look at it. I'm also thinking that GEJ's Facebook remark on BH was also Is there a calculated attempt to make Nigerians "aww and eh yaa" that he's such a sweet man that we threw away. Definitely they are trying to make Nigerians regret voting APC and some gullible peeps will fall for this. Let’s never ever forget the Azizi “BH is PDP” saga just before the mysterious helicopter crash.
The only other suspect here is the Arab world, although I won’t be surprised if they are not directly involved. My main suspects are PDP and the traitors in the APC.

I give kudos to APC for not playing the blame game so far even though they inherited this mess from PDP. Instead, Buhari has taken responsibility and promised solution. Unlike PDP/GEJ who kept on blaming everything and everyone until the last weeks to the elections.
what an utter rubbish! smell whatever you like! I smell incompetent President Buhari of Daura land being with no single idea of what governance means. you propagandist have clearly exorenated APC and buhari from the horror film and the calamitous led government . you guys are the problem of this country.

However, this person, can be regarded as an illiterate thou, but the one that is somewhat educated also claimed that all the major oil marketers are yoruba, they have seaport, they have oil headquarters in lagos, and their is nothing GEJ can do about that. nextstep:
So they've started the first phase of terror:
1. steal arms and stockpile them
2. subjugate the local farms and steal food
3. kidnap and use ransom money to buy arms
4. find a sponsor to help buy bigger weapons
5. stockpile food and water supplies in hidden places
6. launch major attack.

This is where intelligence services should start:
1. plant bugs in the weapons and allow these fools to steal them, so we can start tracking them
2. Put secret service in the markets, some posing as traders and farmers, equip with hidden recorders
3. place hidden cameras at entrances of other stations so faces might be recorded
4. subpoena mtn and glo to provide cell phone data on all phones within the vicinity of attack around that time (yes, this is available).
5. track which way those phones went based on which towers they communicated with, and you can deduce a pattern
6. monitor voice and text communications of said phones, including who calls them and who they call
6. spring a trap
7. most importantly don't delay too long, thinking this is a small operation.

This, done quietly and within the constraints of law, will do much more than shouting about "crushing" and reacting to attacks after they happen.
you have little and outdated brain!
PoliticsRe: CALL FOR SACK OF CBN GOVERNOR by patrick89(m): 10:15am On Jul 01, 2015
Coolcash1:
I have watched and patiently studied various policy made under the leadership of the CBN governor (Godwin Emeifele) and how it has impacted on the economy. I have observed policy inconsistency an indication of poor thought-through process followed and how clueless the governor is. The climax of it was fatuous statement he made on his first international appearance, asking the elected president then to divest government's equity interest in the JVs with IOCs and Independents to improve government liquidity. Perhaps, his lack of economics background is playing out here. CBN might be a regulator of banks but it goes beyond having a banker head the institution without a sound and robust knowledge of the workings, interplay and complexity of economic variables impacting the fiscal and monetary landscape.

During the electioneering campaign when politicians almost dollarised the economy, Emefiele, felt the best approach to avert continuous depreciation of naira was to ban payment of dollar to local vendor across industry, peg the amount of dollar to be spent in a year on foreign purchase by individuals to US$50,000 and adopt technical devaluation of naira. He failed to realize that due to peculiarity of some industry, local contractors/suppliers require dollar payment in order to remain in business as most of their equipment and materials are sourced internationally. This is the case in the oil and gas sector.

After several complains by players in the industry, Emefiele bowed to their pressure and reverse his decision vide CBN circulars in MAy and June by asking banks to exempt oil and gas company and oil servicing company from the policy. This really shows lack of in-depth analysis carried out before coming up with the policy.

Again, CBN seems yet to figure out how to prevent continuous fall of naira against dollar. It appears the only monetary tool, emefiele knows is devaluation. As I write, CBN has further devalued the naira as a further remediation strategy to mitigate foreign exchange risk. I do not support this. This action will further erode the purchasing power of Nigerians and make basic necessities of life out of their reach.

Whilst I do not have any personal vendetta against the man, I am of the opinion that we need a focused, intellectually sound, and competent person as head of the government's bank in order to design and develop efficient monetary tools and policy that will revamp our ailing economy.
