Open grazing and farming is like trying to run fireworks on same field you are exploring oil - they will never mix. If you are not a farmer, you won't understand what it means for cattles to graze past your fields. Their footprints leave trails of hardened soil not so good for tilling in a long time. We must learn to separate the two, and do so with modern trends tenable elsewhere. We can't be openly grazing our lands 30 years back.

Where, for God sake, are they useful in Nigeria? I am from the middle belt region, but it is still the same extortion, bribe collection, drinking beer and sleeping with call girls around. If there is any other duties they claim apart from those, educate me on them please. This is not about region, I think, it is about a systemic failure that has overwhelmed the nation.

You make no sense. Believe Messi and Aguero using their real age at your own peril. Age cheating (football age if you like) has been in the game since it became competitive especially in Southern America and Africa. Even Europe has a way around age fixing when it comes to the round leather game. If Nigeria weren't successful at this stage (of course, it is the most successful country in the world at this level of the competition) this MRI scan wouldn't have been an issue in the first place. The politics in football is more complicated than the one in government.

Summing up what the Police in Nigeria does is easy - drink alcohol, molest Nigerians (in most cases the innocent ones), womanize and collect 50/100 naira from hustling motorists. The people who are meant to enforce the law end up breaking it. Our forces need a total overhaul. That is what you see when tribalism, nepotism, religious affiliation are used as prerequisite for recruitment. I met one military man (I guess a Fulani man from his accent) recently who couldn't communicate in English. This country needs a check through and through.

No nation can build, progress or at least become a developed nation with a foot pedalled on falsehood. As a country, Nigeria has evolved like many nations but this progress is greatly hampered given the many resources the country has that can get it to the promised land.
Having said that we need to build this nation on truth, but that has eluded us in many ways. Lies the country tells her people and 'builds' the nation on include:
1. Education is the key to success - so many unemployed graduates roaming the streets proves this assertion wrong or at least untrue in Nigeria.
2. Bail is free: Really, In this country? your guess is as good as mine
3. Youths are the leaders of tomorrow: Nothing sounds so untrue as this statement. Only if there is a tomorrow that is yet to come
4. Police is your friend: No they really are our nightmare.
5. Courts are the hope of the common man: pheew, the highest bidder gets things done
