City like us have a lot of versatile players. At some point I was struggling to list their 2nd 11...They don't have that much players in terms of numbers but they have players who can play in many positions and Pep trust them... We also have such players that's what I intended to point out when ai listed the respective players per team who can play in any position but it's left for the coaching staff to figure out how to use our large pool of talented players...

McTominay 1.6 tackles per game

Meanwhile Whoscored rated both of them as strong in tackling.

Rodri 81 passes a game with 91% pass accuracy
McTominay 37 passes per game with 81% pass accuracy.

So their recent tackling stats are similar (with Rodri edging it) and in terms of passing Rodri flogs McTominay and all his generations. Rodri is a better DM than McTominay, you need to drop this erroneous point of view that the facts don't back up.

McTominay will have a higher tackles per game ratio if his responsibility was shared...We saw how he fared in the UEL final when deployed alone...

That is not the point. i was tackling your claim that McTominay who plays mainly as a CM and box 2 box player and has limited ability to recycle the ball is a better DM than Rodri.
Rodri might not be the 2nd coming of Makalele but we have only one DM in our team and his name is not McTominay.

Rodri is better at recycling possession but I am dead sure than he isn't better at tackling than McTominay...

McTominay is not a DM at all so you are very wrong on this one. McTominay is a CM. This is not about trashing our players to make the manager look good. I no send the manager but that does not mean one should make emotional statements.

For team that dominates possession that recycling possession that you so easily glossed over is the most important role of a DM. Rodri as a DM is better than all our players bar Matic whose spirit is willing but body is weak.

I might have been contemplating suicide now if I was forced to endure another 6 months of Mourinho football. Nah, Mourinho does not play the sort of football you can watch for many years. His style of play zaps the life from the game, the players don't like it, the fans don't like it, the management don't like it.

I didn't like it too but saying Mourinho only guarantees short term success is not true...If Pep leaves today and the City management brings in another coach and refuse to back him, he'll fail because the likes of De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Walker etc are aging...We saw what happened in Pep's first season and how they struggled. Continued investment in the team in terms of personnel (players and coaching crew) and facilities is key for success in the long run...

Madrid and Chelsea have good player acquisition policies, no matter the manager they'd be getting players that'll improve the squad. Until recently we had no structure to support such method of getting players. Even if Ole left now the structure we have established now will ensure we keep investing in the right players

There's something called short-term success and long-term success, there's also something called building for the long term. There's a reason Jose Mourinho does not last longer than 3 seasons in any club.
